My check engine light came on recently and I called my usual mechanic, who stated that they aren t doing check engine light work. After reading some reviews on a few local shops, I saw that Quality First had a decent amount of good ratings, so I took the chance and called. I was off Thursday so I took my vehicle in.From the very beginning, it was a great experience. Nick was very kind and INCREDIBLY communicative throughout the entire 3 days my car was in the shop. He explained what they were going to do to diagnose my issue and made sure I knew the price. Once the issue was identified, Nick let me know about what I needed to fix immediately and what I could also fix to avoid problems later. Nick reaffirmed that they wouldn t do anything without my permission, and let me know the price(s) right away.I picked my vehicle up today and it was running so much better. Each part comes with a 1 year warranty and the work comes with a 90 day warranty, so if there are any issues I can just take it back.Finding a good mechanic close by can be tough, but I highly highly recommend Qualify First. You won t be disappointed!!

Excellent place to have work done. Had a Ford explorer that I had Frankensteined together that I brought in, Nick cleaned up the mess of electrical work I made, and swapped a new motor in for me too. I've had the car back for awhile now, and couldn't be happier with the work. Just dropped off our other car with 350k miles on it to have similar work done, because there's no one in the area that's done better work for me.Fast diagnosis of issues, good communication and explanation, patience with my calls for updates, just all around excellent service work and customer service. They nail it on both fronts over there.

Very happy with service. Nick is very professional and was very helpful to get my car fixed. I thought it would take longer to get the parts in, but he had my car back to me running within a few hours. And reasonable priced. Definitely will be returning if any other problems arise..

I recently had my car serviced here at the recommendation of a friend, and am very happy with the experience. I had to have my water pump, timing belt, and thermostat replaced. The price was comparable to other shops (and notably cheaper than a dealership), they used all OEM parts, AND they warranty their work. I ll definitely be returning for future repairs.

Quality First Auto Repair Center ( Quality First ) lives up to its moniker. Everyone at Quality First is committed to providing excellent service when it comes to automobile repair. Joe (RIP) and Nick have exclusively serviced my vehicles since 2012 and have been instrumental in helping me advance my knowledge about my vehicles and how to better care for them. They have always been extremely honest/forthright and have constantly made sure to provide detailed explanations of work that requires immediate attention (i.e., diagnostics related to emissions testing) and work they would recommend to maintain high performance (i.e., timing change for older vehicles), while also differentiating between the two in order to avoid paying for unnecessary services. In other words, they would not only fix your vehicle for the short term so that it is safe to drive, but they would also inform you of potential future problems to consider, putting less strain on you financially in the long run.Given our 10+ year history, I think it is appropriate to say that the folks at Quality First are not just repairmen to me; they are family, and they treat me as family. Every time I walk into their shop, I feel like they treat me as one of their own. As such, I introduced them to my dad and he has been taking his vehicles to them ever since. Their professionalism is unwavering and they consistently bring their A game when it comes to their work product. Most (almost all, in fact) of the parts they use are under warranty and they even provide warranty for labor on occasion. Their prices are comparable to other establishments; yet, you receive more value at Quality First. They take pride in what they do, continuously develop their craft, and the results confirm it.Moreover, Quality First has a network of partners who provide ancillary services that customers may need outside of normal repair (i.e., towing). These partners are reasonably priced and provide outstanding service as well. Quality First grows these relationships not only to help themselves but also their customers. The collaborative efforts between Quality First and their partners have saved me time, energy, and money on multiple occasions.Lastly, I would like to thank Nick and his team for their remarkable work throughout the years. They make me feel as though I don t have to worry about vehicular problems, because they take care of them for me. I never leave their shop feeling unappreciated. I always leave their shop knowing I am in good hands.

Nick is one of the best people who is a mechanic I have known in 40+ years of owning and driving cars. You know you're going to get an honest diagnosis and a breakdown of repair strategies that will not leave you bankrupt. They even washed my car as I picked it up today for a repair. Dedication to such details and customer satisfaction is rare in the auto repair industry. You will not find a better place to take your repair than to Nick and his crew at Quality First.

Very professional and courteous. Went in for something as minor as a check engine light. They ran diagnostics and didnt charge me. Come to find out I needed a timing chain replaced. Instead of making that $3000 themselves the owner Nick suggested i take my car to the Chevrolet dealership and have the work done for free since i still have a manufacturer warranty that expires in a month. Saved me a headache and financial burden. Will recommended this shop to anyone in NWI. I had the pleasure of working with Nick who is the owner of the establishment. He made my car a priority and took care of me as I was family. I had a transmission issue and an air compressor go out and he took care of them both. I was extremely satisfied with the work that was done. I would recommend Quality First Auto Repair to anyone that is dealing with automobile problems. He was able to fix both issues quick as well so I was not out of a vehicle for long. I will definitely be using Nick for all my future vehicle needs.

Nick was recommended to me by a co-worker and I am so happy they referred me to him. Not only did Nick help diagnose what was wrong with the engine, he also found an issue with one of our tires. That could have turned into a disaster if not corrected. I highly recommend Quality First Auto for all your auto needs. The owner, Joe and his son Nick are extremely knowledgeable and the very nicest people to deal with. They explain everything in detail, to make sure you understand anything that needs to be done with your vehicle. They will throughly check over your vehicle to make sure all is well with it. My family has been going to them with all of our vehicle needs for longer than I can remember. They have taken care of and serviced every vehicle we have owned, we tend to keep our cars for awhile and therefore have had all maintenance and upkeep done through them. We have had check engine light troubles that they fixed, bought new tires, had all of our oil changes, tire rotations done. We have had shocks, brakes, struts, all done very satisfactory. We have taken cars in to have Joe look them over before we decide to buy them, he has never steered us wrong. I feel very confident in their work, and their honesty. I firmly believe that Joe and Nick have taken such good care of us for many years. They feel like family. The mechanics that have worked on our cars are awesome! Quite a few years ago, Joe and one of his mechanics worked diligently to help us get our van emissions passed. It truly is very refreshing to know that I can bring our vehicles in for anything and I can trust what they tell me and trust in the work that they do. I really can not believe how honest this guy Nick who delt with my many issues on my car was, he didn't charge an arm and a leg and actually saved me money, did a great job fixing the car !!! I highly recommend this place for car care needs. Took my mom's van there to see if it could be aligned after my daughter put it in the ditch. He says needs calipers and an axle picked up the car now today he said he couldn't line it because it had further damage so he lied yesterday and today one $1100 yesterday. now my daughter says if you don't pay the 1125 it's a nice day drive it to the junkyard when she said my dad is going to fix it we just need it aligned. I wish you could put a -1 star. I hate when people try to pump my 82-year-old mother for money. by the way, I retired from local 150 midwest Operating Engineers, 30 years mechanic welder operator, seven years semi's before that and was certified for cars in the 80s.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Great shop! Diagnosed the problem, told me it'd be ready in 2 days. 2 days later i picked up my car. Excellent customer service. The man that helped me up front was very direct, yet personable. He explained everything that I needed to know. Nick is his name if I'm remembering that correctly. He went above and beyond to be helpful and he was a very pleasant person. Give him a raise! Quality First went above and beyond my expectations. I brought my truck in for repairs and Nick was more than professional in his explanation of what was needed to fix my truck. The muffler was in rough shape and the exhausted manifold also separated from the engine block. Once I had those repairs done, it revealed that other problems were causing my check engine light. I had all the repairs done and the results were excellent. My truck hasn't run this good since I bought it several years ago. Thank you to Nick and his father Joe for running a "Quality First" business and delivering outstanding results. The mechanics deserve credit for their services as well. I highly recommend bringing your car/ truck here as I certainly will be for any future repairs.

I had a screw in my tire was trying to make it to the tire shop when it popped out and all the air came out of my tire so I pulled over to Quality 1st which buy the way isn t a tire shop but I asked for some help and to no avail they just happen to have a plug and allowed to have it to plug my tire , and told me to let him know when I was done so that they could put air back in the tire. Today was a very hot day and I m very grateful to the willingness to help me out. I offered money to show my appreciation they told no . I ll definitely be doing business here and telling everyone I know. There name says it all! Quality 1st!!!

The mechanic was really friendly and knowledgeable. his prices were really fair. I called alott of other places and his were the best. I would recommend anybody go here had a very easy and stress free experience which is hard to find these days. car was done in a timely Fashion
