My go to place when I need my car fixed in a timely manner. They give proper diagnosis and very fast turn around times. Labor is a bit high but I m willing to pay more for such great speedy service !

Hopefully I can save some people Some cash$$ This place will clean you out for even the cheapest jobs definitely scamming people that aren t Knowledgeable on cars or repairs. Only thing I d recommend is a diagnostic test and take that with a grain of salt long story short much better service and pricing can be found BEWARE

I was beyond impressed with King Muffler and break. We worked with Phillip, and he was so helpful to us.I was in a terrible situation, while driving on route 30, my wheel fell off my Ford edge.I called King Muffler, and he was so helpful to arrange a tow pick up in a timely manner.Not only did they pick up my vehicle quickly, but what seemed like no time, they were contacting me stating that they had repaired the issues at hand with the ball joint and suspension, and also replaced the opposite side, plus I had them change a belt in my car.Their prices are beyond fair as well, especially when this was an expense we were not planning on they didn t break the bank.If you were looking for a professional, good quality, and amazing prices, look no further and have this be your shop.Service: Steering & suspension repair

While traveling from Michigan to Wisconsin our check engine light came on, we found King Muffler & Repair on line & stopped to have them read/scan the issue. They repaired almost immediately & sent us on our way. During our trip the check engine light came back on. We called King to ask if we could bring the car back in on our way home. They got us right in again & told us we should be fine to get home because the car was running fine, but would have to replace the catalytic converter at some point. No charge on the 2nd visit. We would highly recommend King Muffler to anyone & wish they were located closer to home. Very honest! Phil & Susan were the best!!! Susan answered the phone and was an absolute sweetheart. She told me that customers are too priority and she stood on her word. I came in and waited just a few mins and knew exactly what was wrong. Jesse was a sweetheart also. He calmed me down and thoroughly explained what was wrong and how much it would cost (didn t break the bank either). I found my new auto maintenance home. By far the worst place I have ever taken my vehicle to for repairs. This place is nothing more than money hungry. They will not tell you everything that is wrong with your vehicle then fix only what they can leaving out the major issues with your vehicle. Then say next time check out the vehicle before purchasing it. Really 1 star is far to much lesson learned.

Great customer service from Mrs Susan. My car was towed there for brakes. King muffler did a great and fast job. They kept me abreast of everything. Kudos. Will be back for any automotive work in the future.

I was visiting from out of town. Started my car and oil leaked all over the ground. King muffler was recommended by my dad. Not only were they able to diagnose the problem, but was able to squeeze me in to fix it that day. I am greatly appreciative for their time and getting me back on the road. They were very nice.

This is The Best Automotive Shop In Gary Indiana To Me I Had A New Alternator & Belt Installed I Had A New Drive Shaft Installed It Looks So Good And Drives Even Better!!I Had An Exhaust Leak That Was Repaired I Had Slow Leaks On My New Tires Because My Car Sits A Lot My Tires Would Go Low They Got Rid Of Corosion Cleaned It All Up Sealed Them Good And It Was Money Well Spent!!I Highly Recommend Them If You Have Anything Wrong With Your Vehicle This Is The Place To Bring It To!!They Have The Dream Team of Mechanics/ Technicians/ Technology!!Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

The manger Phillip was wonderful!! He explained everything to me and why it should be done. As I sat and waited I was shocked at the things I heard from customers! They would yell and scream at this poor man! He is not a miracle worker he can not take your broken car and turn into a fully working car for the 60.00 you think it should cost! Ugh As I watched I saw he kept his cool and tried to explain. Where I would have lost it and snapped back. But he didn't. As my car was being fix they found something else and he came and told me and explained what and why I should fix it and that it would cost this much more. Yes I was quoted so much before but now it will cost me more to fix my vehicle. Why?? Cause it is just that a quote they don't know what it is until they get in there and see what all is broken. Had the work done and my car runs great!! Thanks to Phillip he has made a life time customer as long as he's the boss I will tell all my friends. Thank you again!

Well for starters they are very slow. It took them 8 days just to tell me what was wrong with my car. The trans they installed was gone 2 months later and i was told i missed the warranty. I should have known though. My brother has continuously taken his car to them and each time he goes, 2 weeks later something else breaks on his car. Lesson learnedService: Transmission

Had an antifreeze leak on my 05 impala. I took it to King Muffler, where I was greeted very professionally and courteous. Instantly I felt as if my stress levels were lowered.I informed the front desk counter person, sorry I forgot your name, that I'm on a budget and being on a fixed income, I really didn't have a lot of funds to spare. After giving my information, my car was taken in for service.Now lemme tell ya, anyone could have come back, especially after informing someone I only had x amount of money for repairs and used that against me. But not these guys. The front desk person came back to tell me that my problem was a leaking radiator hose. Once my car was repaired, I paid the bill and was on my way, still able to have funds left over!Thanks guys! I'll definitely be back! ##customerforlife##

Well, I don't like to give people a bad reputation. But, people I know say avoid this place because they messed up a lot of people cars, that's why no one hardly is there. I never had to waitto get my car fixed on. Huh, its no wonder. I also had bad experiences there. Treat people right if you want a good rating.

Honest, Knowledgeable, Reliable, Efficient Service. The shop manager, Tommy, and the front desk girl, Lynn, were very pleasant and helpful. They're quote's were less than other shops, and only did the work that was necessary! Our vehicles are fixed in a very timely manner. As long as Tom is the manager... This family will be customers for life!

We called ahead of time to see if they could get to my car today and the lady that answered the phone was super friendly. They got my car in the back within 10 mins of us getting here. They told us what was wrong and didn't try and get more money out of us. Very reasonable prices. I would suggest them to anybody and if I'm in town and something ever goes wrong with my car I will bring it back here!!

I normally don't trust mechanic shops but they made me feel comfortable and did qualify work. I was impressed with the professionalism and with everything in all. I highly suggest this place!

FALSE DIAGNOSTICS SCAMS! I came in to get a diagnostic even paid for a tow. They mechanic claimed it was the flywheel. I ended up not getting it fixed by king muffler because it was way over priced. So I took to another shop who was more affordable. They began to do labor for the "flywheel" and told me that my flywheel was fine. So I called king muffler back because they gave me a false diagnostic and when I asked to speak to the mechanic he told me for $50 bucks he wasn't going to do a true diagnostic, So basically they just told me anything for my money. DONT TRUST THERE DIAGNOSTIC THEY WILL GIVE YOU FALSE INFORMATION AND NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND. Also I failed to mention he hung up on me multiple times because he knew he was wrong. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I let him know that I was going to get my lawyer involved not just because of the money but because they are giving people false diagnostics. HORRIBLE PLACE.

We were headed to Kentucky from Wisconsin when our brakes blew and went out. We stopped at the closest place which was King muffler and brakes. We needed to be in Kentucky at a certain time and Jennifer and the crew where great on making sure we got back on the road to get to our destination on time. They also quoted us a great price and stuck with that price even though they had to do more than expected. They get 6 stars in our book! Thank you!!!!

I was in town visiting a friend and I was having issues with my brakes. I took my SUV to this shop and had them look at it. They were able to look over my brakes and fix what needed to be fixed. I felt comfortable with them while I was there and being a woman in a mans world that doesnt always happen. I would recommend going to see them for any of your car needs. Thank you.
