I went to Glen Park Autoworks on the recommendation of my sister because as I was driving to Gary from out of town, I heard scraping on new brakes I had just gotten from another place but I didn't feel safe driving any further. Mr. Fred did an inspection of my vehicle and resolved my issue. Not only that, he placed my rear brakes and it didn't cost near what I had paid to have my front brakes replaced. It was so much cheaper. In fact, he squeezed me in to his schedule so that I could get back on the road to my next destination safely. They were professional and very friendly. Whenever I'm in town and need service to my vehicle, I will definitely go to them again.

This owner kept my car for 3 weeks, diagnosing it. Excuse after excuse full of hot water. I needed the timing chain yet told me I didn't. Then he eluded to later that maybe it did, but he had a 5000 dollar scope to tell the final truth. Problem my car never saw the scope. Don't go here for ANYTHING major. It won't happen. He does only jobs that pay quickly. I was ready to pay the deposit, Just the job would take too long. It's hard to patronize your own sometime. Proceed at your own risk. Never will know if he is really a good mechanic for any jobs. He always had problems with his help, and I could see why. I'm so glad I took my car elsewhere!!

Paid for a diagnostic he had my car just sitting in front of the shop he didn t even touch it after a week I just took my car to another shop.

I would never ever recommend this place ! They lie and lie and tell you anything to get you to pay them. The lady that answers the phone acts as if she knows nothing, what s her point of being there I really don t know & everybody in there has bad communication!! I was told $1100 to start my car , they had my car for 2 months ! They don t know what damage they have caused me due to putting my car off ! Two months with no car and it took the whole two months for them to even start on the car ! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL ! Plus they cash only ALOT OF SUSPICION THINGS WITH THIS SHOP ! My lawyer is working on my case as we speak ! Do not give them your car !

It was 2 years ago that I got messed over. And my friend after I warned him got his brakes done. Or should I say not done correctly. I paid 1300.00 to fix an emissions issue on my 99 explorer. When Mikes said they would do it for 780.00. But trying to support, I took it there. After they started working on the my explorer all of a sudden I need all this extra stuff. Couldn't do anything because they had the car inside. They had my truck for a month and lied over and over about the ready day. After I told him I wouldn't wait another day and to have my car fixed and ready. He claimed it was fixed. I pick it up take it to the emissions and it passed. But I didn't even make it to Ridge Rd and the light came back on. Took it back same problem. He wanted me to leave it I said no. What day could he take a full day and work on it? He said Tuesday. Well still didn't fix the problem. Chased him and chased him. Then he used covid to keep me away. Truck still has the same issue. I was hurt because I thought I was doing a positive thing. Supporting a business from my old neighbourhood, not so much , fooled the hell out of me.

Dropped car off on Friday night. When owner arrived Saturday morning he was very courteous and professional. Said he would help us get our problem fixed. He called a little later after diagnosing the issue and offered a couple of options and we accepted one. As we were staying further away he offered to stay after hours if we were going to be late (which was not necessary) once repair was made. Highly recommended this shop and give the owner many thanks for getting this done on a weekend.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Body & Trim

Horrible service I let him have my truck to fix he had to find parts so he hady truck for about a month when he did start working on it somebody had broken into my truck and stole my radio he didn't give me my money back to replace the radio and then when it was time to fix my truck completely he didn't do it right my truck broke down again I had to take it to another shop to fix a communication was bad I will never recommend nobody to go to the shop I support people but this one no

I've used this auto shop twice so far and never want to go anywhere else again. They were kind enough to work around my work schedule. I was quoted a fair price for my car. I got brakes and rotors, a tune up, and a transmission leak was sealed.The second time I needed a battery because my car died near the shop. I dropped my keys off and was able to call them and was told it would be taken care of! Way to go in an emergency! Not to mention, the young lady that does reception has the best customer service skills!

Lady at the front desk is wonderful! But had my car towed to the lot and they were understaffed. Got my truck back after several days of postponing. The second time I had work done, they returned my car, but I spent over 500 for an alternator in an 07. Felt pricey, but seems like good work.

Beware they have horrible service don t use them at all. Took vehicle to them 3 weeks ago never return calls when they do talk to you they lie. The mechanic gets in phone try s to use a soothing voice and sound professional but customer service speaks differently. $1600 for what don t have my vehicle still my first payment came through bank came quick but not service.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

the owner was very unprofessional .. hung up on me 4 times after ima tryin to talk && being very very rude .! i give it negative stars i will be telling everyone about howrude the owner was && i m happy i recorded him ..

This is an awesome place to bring your vehicle for repairs. The customer service is excellent, reasonable prices, it's clean and they will take very good care of you. They know what their doing and I recommend this place to everyone. "No pressure from them" and are straight forward with you on your mechanical needs.

tl;dr: horrible customer service, scam pricingI paid Glen Park $25 for an estimate and had an awful experience. I was quoted at about $730... The mechanic was not even available to answer my questions, he just went to the next customer.I asked for a written estimate and the lady said that was not necessary since all the information was stored on file. I was not provided any information about warranty, part cost, or labor cost. So, I called back the next day asking for more information to which she said she would call me back. Never received a call back.I called back again a few days later asking about the estimate once again and was told she would get back to me. I still have not received any call back.I was forced to go another shop and was quoted $300 where the mechanic actually answered my questions. This place is a rip off. Avoid at all cost.

Thought it was a honest place until I took my car to get a full diagnostic some where else and was told that I needed a alignment and tire rods when I asked Fred (Nee manager) did I needed tire rods when he did my alignment and he stated no. So he did my alignment and my car was still shaking and still steering off in another directions and then comes to find out when I brought two tires they have one tire on backwards. My car is worse than before. Not to mentioned it took him about 12 hours to do an alignment then I had to bring it back another day and additional 10 hours. Smh. Never again

I brought both of my vehicles in about three days apart. And they had me in and out of there in about 15 minutes, both times. May I also add for reasonable prices. Great job Glen Park Autoworks.

short, sweet, and simple, about almost 2 weeks ago driving past i went in to price (niiiice) and yesterday 12/17/18 i called at 1:30 p.m. i was there by 2:30 p.m. i was out by 4:00 p.m. i got front and back brakes done i felt very comfy there the staff was very friendly and wen i left there i put DaDeal (my car) on the expressway to test my new brake job and i have no worries great job guys and thank you so much again!

Fred was amazing. I would give 10 stars if I can. He repaired my brakes and rotors, the service was great. I had a great experience so if you're looking for a great deal this is your place.

I have been coming to get my car serviced here for years. I found that the mechanic was very detail in his description of required services needed. Mainly very honest and his prices were always reasonable. This shop always worked quickly to get your car up and running. I highly recommend this shop for your auto repairs.

Went to Glen Park Auto for a tire patch, oil change, and brake light repair. Fred was very helpful. I had the expectation of getting my car the next day but he finished the same day I dropped it off. Couldn t have asked for better efficiency.

Excellent customer service!!!! I came in at 12:45p and it s 1:13p my car is already finished!! OMG BEST PLACE to get your car serviced they are super fast and very friendly. I will continue to come here NO WHERE ELSE!! GREAT JOB YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!

Great owner, Did everything to get my car up and going for me. Great prices and does very great work! Also is very honest about what's wrong on your car and wont charge you for random things you dont need! Definitely reccomend getting your vehicle fixed here

This shop provides excellent professional service. All diagnostics performed were discussed and solutions were offered. All work was performed and the repairs were completed as promised. The work estimate was discussed and repairs were completed at the price discussed. Their business hours worked well with my schedule.

Not to many places open on Sundays , the owner was there knowledgeable and friendly he did a complete check of my brake system and gave me many options far as what I need he didn t try tonsale me things I didn t need ! He has a brake special $79.99 life time warranty with ceramic pads and he offer more coupons on there website

If it's not an oil change or fixing a flat steer clear, had my car 4 months to change out an ECM, wouldn't return calls, texts or Emails and I wasn't calling all the time, they let lady running the office take all the heat(she was professional). 3 and a half months and $600 later plus a missing wheel cap. The job wasn't satisfactory. And needless to say I got no response after they got my cash, I'm sure that they have a retort all I can say think twice

Very customer-based. Was there in an emergency situation, and the mechanics there took care of my car based on what was best for me in the situation. Also, very appreciative that they were open on a Sunday!
