This place is horrible. They fixed my car 2 months ago & during the below zero weather the parts are falling off. I was just told they won t help me

We took Mazda in and it looks brand new. They did a fantastic job!! Kaleigh is amazing and is a problem solver. She does anything and everything to help you. Plus, she makes sure that you have the best experience!! She s the glue of that shop that keeps everything rolling smooth. Ken Taylor the GM is very understanding and does everything possible to help you. P.S. Mr. Taylor, Kaleigh deserves a raise!!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would, due to my experience. I was referred by Geico to this location stating that Gerber is the best to do a repair on my van that was caused by nature. I was told to return yesterday 12/01/2021 for them to look at my van's liftgate because they'd left it disabled. They hadn't had my van for more than a couple minutes before a manager walked over saying that my liftgate wasn't working when they'd gotten it. I asked them if this is true, how could they'd possibly gotten any work done, when they needed it open to do the job? They then told me that they never opened the liftgate, they worked around it. The manager even stated that they hadn't done any work on the liftgate so they didn't have to open it. He then assured that he had a hand in the repair so he knows. It was obvious that he didn't because all he kept saying was that he repaired it. Due to the fact that he was basically being dismissive, I decided to contact my insurance company. At the moment, I'm waiting for corporate to return my call. Also they'd left the cover off of the panel that housed the motor for the liftgate. With this, it's obvious they'd done something! The biggest issue of all is there's no documentation that stated my door wasn't working, and I never got a phone call about the inconvenience.The photo shows that the manager had no clue what he was talking about when he said the liftgate was never accessed.Service: Body & Trim

Although the estimated repair time far exceeded the nine business days, I was quoted, the work was phenomenal. My car looked show room beautiful. I am more than pleased!

Well car got totalled out was sent to this establishment and I was told to clean it out for insurance to take ownership and I see this company likes to go though and take tools from ppls cars and I don't mean the whole set I mean certain things from sets and tool boxes that I had in the vehicle so do not I repeat DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR VEHICLE CLEAN IT OUT BEFORE IT GOES TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Gerber family,I am pleased how the repairs turned out. My car looked brand new like when I first bought my car at the dealership. I appreciate the dedication and customer service everyone provided. Not only do I know nothing about cars, Gerber made sure I was taken care of as a guest. Which gain my trust entirely. I can t thank Gerber enough for taking excellent care of my car. I highly recommend anyone to take their vehicles to the Gary, IN location to experience the best customer service.

I was satisfied with the work done to my vehicle, however please remember not to leave any valuables in your car or it might be gone once your vehicle is returned. I left my $70 Burberry perfume in my car and of course it was missing upon retrieval date. Incredible customer service, impeccable work, and timely service!From my first interaction to my last, this crew took special care of me and my vehicle. Kate is pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. Sean walked me through every detail leading up to the repair, and just before I took my vehicle home. When I picked up my vehicle, Kate, Sean and Chuck (manager) made sure I had no questions and verified that I had a good experience. Special thanks to Kate because I was a confused HOT mess when I called. She walked me through the process and explained it in layman terms. I immediately felt at ease and knew it would be OK.

I had my 2012 F150 repaired at Gerber Collision.( Grant St Gary location) It was repaired a couple years back where there was a miscommunication over an installed defective part. I spoke with a couple of different managers over the last couple years and did not get resolution to this defective part issue. I received a call from the new manager Chuck. He had become aware of this unresolved issue and reached out to me. He did what he needed to do to replace the defective part in an efficient, timely and professional manner. Businesses are managed by people and sometimes people make mistakes. I commend Chuck for resolving these issues and correcting these mistakes that he originally was not involved with. He provided excellent service in the resolution of this problem. Thanks Chuck for your exemplary customer service. I would give them a five star review.Service: Body & Trim

Dropped my car off nov.7 estimated pick up date was nov.23 on the 22 they said theyll call if there is were any delays, they never called me. I had to call them fpr the to tell me another week & when that week came it turned into a whole month. I wont get my car back until the end of December. So unprofessional and absolutely acceptable.

If I could give negative stars I would!!!! I would sooner have my 6 year old make repairs to my vehicle then take it back here!Dealing with the "team" here was by far the worst experience I've ever had dealing with any company ever. For starters, the time line they gave me was garbage and ended up taking nearly 3 times long then they originally said. Then when I got my vehicle back, the work was incomplete, and I had to take it in again. After I had received my vehicle (for the 2nd time) I noticed items that were supposed to be replaced were not. There were huge scratches to a bumper that had just been replaced weeks before hand.

Extremely happy with my Gerber experience. Clean shop, courteous, and accomdating staff. Kept me updated twice a week on my car's progress. Allowed and enccouraged me to visit my car to see the work they were doing. Fixed everything and then some. Not just body repair, b ut also handled serious mechanical work. My 2015 Dodge Challenger is like brand new again. It was nice picking up a newly repaired car, but also they cleaned it! Inside and out! I hope I never see them again. But hope others who need collision repairs will employe these true professionals. They are a standard that other shops should use as a model to strive for as a goal.

My car was transferred to Gary from a different location due to lift issues. The Gary location confirmed that the work should only take a couple of days once all the parts arrive and gave a verbal May 17th completion date. That date quickly changed to May 22nd with the next update; no issues yet, Gerber told me 3 weeks when car was delivered to them on May 2nd. May 21st I got an update that my car was complete, but the diagnostic machine was not available till the 24th. No updates and no car on the 24th. When I called on the 24th my contact was long gone and nobody could give me any updates. May 28th update from Gerber was hoping that my car would be done the 28th or 29th. May 29th update from Gerber was to tell me that WORK ON MY CAR HAD NOT BEEN STARTED YET. Spoke with the new GM and he tells me my car is priority #1 and gives a new completion date of May 31st. May 31st update that car still not done, maybe June 3rd or 4th. Update on June 4th that maybe June 7th the car will be done. The car was finally completed at EOB June 7th. Very bad communication and horrible updates. Do not take your car to this Gerber location!UPDATE, the new GM has reached out to me and is trying to fix the issues that I had. To the new GM, good luck with this location. Changed from 1 star to 2 stars in hopes the GM is successful.

When my son brought his car to the gerber in Gary Indiana he had to leave it there for an adjuster to give him an estimate and then once he got that they didnt give him the option for Ford parts for his car and put after market parts on instead which was not right and he should have been able to get his car done right at the gerber in Merrillville where they do procedures and work done right so in my opinion dont go to the one in Gary!

Woman that works there was very rude Will never go back worst experience everA manager contacted me and apologized I feel much better about my experience now that he talked to me and said that's not how they handle their customers and he offered me a free wash even though I took it somewhere else.

Wrong place to take your vehicle to be repaired. GERBER didnt do the job right the first time i sent it back for a second time and the still mess up my paint job more . Would not recommend
