We had a great time here on a much needed vacation from the daily hustle and bustle of life in the big city. The setting, scenery and ambience were all spectacular. The staff was all very courteous, helpful and kind. Every amenity outside the hotel is located very close as this is a small town and several things are within walking distance. We went in winter time and I can't wait to return in the spring and fall. I will definitely be coming back again.

This was our first time at French Lick with our children. First off, it s important to know that there is very limited things to do for children. We did do horse riding and drove to a nearby zoo. There was bowling, but only half of the lanes were functional. Also, there is basically nothing to do at night except gamble. So if you are busy bodies like us, I d give this a hard pass. Furthermore, someone vomitted outside of our room and it was not cleaned up for 2 days! I made the front desk aware of it and still nothing. Staff in general seemed like they didn t want to be there and were inconvenienced. I just don t get the attraction to this town.

This is a gorgeous place & is well-maintained. I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. They don't recycle anything. I asked several employees about this, and got the same response from everyone: we're asked about this all the time, but we aren't able to. This resort is HUGE. It is completely unacceptable to not have recycling in place. If the issue is that the town doesn't offer it, then a company of this size should be able to put some money towards helping the nearest town put in a recycling facility. The food was okay, but not anything particularly memorable. They have few vegetarian offerings, and even fewer vegan offerings. I know this is a small town in Indiana, but if you want to attract people from larger cities, you need to step up your food offerings. Offering a beyond burger & fries for $25 with a bun that isn't vegan doesn't cut it. The vegan cauliflower entree was very basic. Very uninspired menus at the restaurants we tried.Rooms: Rooms are nice. The parlor room was spacious enough for 4 friends to be comfortable.Nearby activities: horseback riding, archery, walking paths. A peaceful retreat.

This is a very nice hotel. You can tell it is old and needs an upgrade, but it is nice. The staff was extremely helpful. I think the area around has so much potential, but it is under utilized. Hopefully they will find right investors and good marketing people soon to attract more guests soon.Nearby activities: There isn't too much to do around

Lovely little spot! Stayed over a weekend for a business trip and didn't have many issues, however the service staff were incredibly rude. I could hear the manager from down the hall yelling at and her workers and making very condescending remarks towards them. Her name was At and she seemed very nervous when I asked her to quiet down. On my second day I asked one of the housekeepers if I could get another set of towels and they said yes. Hours later they returned and apologized due to "my supervisor Gemma assigning me too many rooms today." Really? I likely won't be staying at the casino resort again and will probably check into the neighboring hotel instead.Rooms: The room was lovely and very clean.

Very cool old hotel. You can tell that the rooms have been updated relatively recently. I just wish they still sold Pluto Water. That would be dope.Photo is of the menu for the pizza place they have there.

In the absolutely beautiful town of French Lick Indiana home of the old school gangsters lies this gem known as French Lick Springs hotel and Casino. I had just turned 21 and wanted to see what all the talk of this place was about and let me say they did not disappoint I won again and again and on the way out I hit a $50 jackpot on a $1 bet I couldn't of had a better time. The scenery around and in the building is absolutely stunning as well I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area on another grand adventure.

We recently visited West Baden at French Lick. We had a wonderful stay as usual. I lost a very sentimental necklace and did not notice until I was home. I promptly called and spoke with Sara in housekeeping. I knew it was a slim chance but gave her the information and room number where we stayed. She was so kind and comforting. One week later she called me!! They found my necklace! What are the odds of that? Sara promptly called me, sent me a photo to verify and received it in the mail today. She went above and beyond my expectations. The customer service is like no other! Thank you West Baden and Sara, it means the world to me that you took the time to call and mail it back to me.

Wow! What a place to stay. Been coming here for years. Hot tub and pools are really nice. The only thing that really bothered me was that the lament flooring did not meet the tile going into the bathroom. Really shabby workmanship for a pricy room at $250 plus per night. It seems the hotel is just about due for some updates. I guess this would be an on going thing. Over all, it s a great place to come any just relax. The breakfast buffet is very, very expensive. I would pass and go out to eat elsewhere. The casino is really nice and organized. Fun!

If you ve watched the movie, Out, you ll experience a temporary discomfort with the navigation as it seems you are going into a world from which you may not return. Give it a minute, and you ll find yourself in a real world Hobbit backdrop of hills and small roads that don t seem you re getting anywhere close to a sprawling resort. And then, voila! You re suddenly there. I only gave the categories a 4 because I m meticulous hospitality establishments. Details are everything. For example, not a huge deal, but the grout toward the center of the washroom floor was a bit grungy and off by several hues compared to the grout near the walls. Also, the carpeting had several new patches that were extremely, obviously cleaner that the rest of the carpet in the room. Given; Over time there has been some wearing and fading. But, that s just my obsessive compulsive inclination. The details separate a five star hotel from others. There is a lot, A Lot of hotel to keep up with and there are no signs of deferred maintenance. Gestalt observation, the sum of the entirety of the complex seems immaculate. However, if you re like me, you ll notice the cobweb high in the ceiling of the event center s ball room.Great location!! You have to visit.Nearby activities: If you re from the city and you are expecting to go bar-hopping or catch an Uber to a live concert, or go to an adult entertainment establishment, you ll need to go to Louisville. None are within French Lick s motif.

My family spent Christmas at French Lick-it was wonderful! The Concierge- Angie Bishop was fantastic, helped us with all our questions. My wife left hanging clothes carriers in our room and Angie had them sent to us the next day!Thank you Angie for such great service- you are a credit to the resort!Harry Ford

We just visited the grounds and the walked around the inside of the hotel. This in it's hey day was a grand hotel. The hotel was nicely restored to preserve it's architectural and interior's history. It appears to be very family friendly. I was disappointed in the ground's restoration behind the hotel. They destroyed the old retractable domed swimming pool and replaced it with a rather plain "patio". The Pluto spring is still there but not accessable for drinking as it was when I was a child. Then, of course, you see the newer casino to the north.

They had a lot going on when we went. Early November. Tree was getting set up, roof is having work done. This place is beautiful. Maybe its when we visit it seems to have issues. We have stayed here 3 times and everytime we do something is either unavailable, etc. This is truly a beautiful place and I encourage you to go because walking in and seeing the atrium is WOW!! Yes I would go back

Overrated place with disappointing experiences. This is a higher cost place billing itself as a "resort." My experience in a 4 day stay was no housekeeping in my room, average hotel food in all but the steak restaurant, and less than average service from the staff. It's far and overpriced for an average experience. The event management staff is particularly difficult to work with, generally non responsive, and low attention to detail. Definitely recommend you take you conference or group event elsewhere. The buildings and golf course are beautiful however.

Beautiful old historic hotel. Nice rooms. The reason for only one star is that they only have Starsucks coffee. I don't like anything about liberal coffee it has the taste of licking a liberals butt. Give your guests another option.Walkability: If you want a great steak go to Moo Moo's Steakhouse

The town, hotel, and casino are all trash. Would never visit this hole in the wall dump again. Worst casino I ve ever been to. Staying just one night but honestly I m just gonna leave and not stay. Looking forward to them closing this place down.Nearby activities: Absolutely nothing. If you enjoy no restaurants, shopping, gas stations, or any other kind of business this is the place for you.
