I have been using the Wal-mart auto care center for a couple years now. The service is a little better than it was in the past, yet it could really use a professional touch the the way the employees interact with the customers. When dropping off a vehicle for service none of the important questions are relayed to the customer about the specifics of the service being performed. For an oil change, type of oil, filter should always be asked. Utilizing the customer's profile if they aer a return customer. When having tires served or replaced, confirming the type of tires being purchased should be confirmed each time.Asking if there is a preference on tire placement, and if they would like to have them rotated and balanced, as well as prefered tire pressure.I always have to add air to my tires when I get home from a tire service. Because it is lower than what the tires suggest. With completeion of service, any and all comments placed by the technician should be read and explained, and any questions answered before taking payment for the service. This boils down to having the store manager look at the standard of conduct. Training service managers correctly so they can lead by example. This will ultimately reduce re-work, incorrect service procedures and lost revenue for the company. Being able to help more customers smoothly and with more satisfaction over all. The employees would be less stressed and not feel so over worked.

Made an appointment for my daughter at 10 am to have tires replaced on front of her car. Left her sit for 2.5 hrs before they told her they didnt have the tires and couldnt do the work. Unacceptable! Why make an appointment if this is how they are going to work.

Went in to have my tires rotated for the 1st time since purchasing my car. It took awhile but they did get me in the same day & I was done within an hour in a half altogether. I ended up paying for the lifetime rotation price of around $58. It would ve been a bit more or around the same if I had paid for the per tire price which was about $11-$12 per tire if memory serves me correctly & now I can go back to any Walmart auto center & have them all done without paying for that service & I ll be in their system automatically! Pretty cool! The only thing is after I left I checked my tire pressure on all of them & they are all very random air amounts which surprised me because they really should be uniform across the board I would think at, or between 32-34 psi.

Got here at 7:30am to get 1 tire replaced. They said the wait would be about an hour. 3 hours later they are JUST starting the check out process. Checking out alone took about 20 minutes.I will never come here for another service EVER. AGAIN. All in all, the cheapest tire (for my car) and the most basic service ran $122. I could have easily spent right about the same amount at Belle and been in and out.

Worst experience , I got my oil changed in my Honda odysseys took them 3 hours and finally when it was done. I got in the car and there ABS and traction control light on and then my auto doors would operate too. They told me to come in Monday and they just told me there is nothing they can do about it I will have to go to autozone they can help me fix it. Worst place please don t take your car there for them to break it for you.Service: Oil change

It took over an hour to put a battery in my car. Like if I knew it would have been that long I would have just bought the battery and put it in myself. Then not even 4 hours later the battery terminals are too loose for the car to start.

Deb was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and stayed later so I could get my tire and not get towed. She may be an angel

I had my van towed here as it died on Lima rd just outside of Huntertown. I phoned and actually spoke with the Mngr. I think Karen is her name, but please don't quote me!! Anyways, she was AMAZING!!! she showed me which battery I would need after they tested my current one, and it was in, and I was ready to go within 30 minutes!!!

Worst place ever. Told me it would be an hour. Been here 3 1/2 hours. Said they opened at 7 am. Didn t unlock door until 715. Watched them pull my truck in and the guy spent the first hour on his cell phone then another wandering around lost. After 2 1/2 hours they finally did some actual work. Wasn t any other customer when I got here and still taken them this long. I m about to set up a tent and spend the night just to get 4 tires changed.Service: Tires

Very knowledgeable and fast. Ww had a blow out and were towed there. We had to wait in line because they were busy but once they started they did great.

Absolutely ridiculous! They were unable to get the lugnuts off so we took the car to our mechanic and they had no issues and even replaced a single worn lugnut. We then took it back and they still were unable to get the lugnuts off. They must have only used their fingers. A tire shop that can't replace the tires is useless.Service: TiresService: Tires

Took my car in to get a flat repaired. Couldn't be repaired so I had it replaced. Took 3 hours and the service to just check out was the slowest I've ever had anywhere. Bought road hazard with it. Two days later I end up stranded because the tire has bulges on the sides and went flat. Now they are making me wait to get it fixed/replaced. It's been two hours and my car hasn't been brought in. Offered no help, no sympathy just looked at me and was like not my problemService: Tires

Lady working at the counter name Deloise was rude . Said they were all booked when there weren t many cars in the parking lot or the waiting area. When asked when they can do it she said she recommends going somewhere else

Good prices for a synthetic oil change and friendly staff but I've waited 2 hours to get an oil change the past two times. They told me it would take 30-60 minutes. If another location would have the synthetic oil in stock on a regular basis, I'd go to a different location. Maybe they would have faster service.

I went to get my oil changed only they couldn t change it because the cap was rounded. I waited an hour to hear that. They didn t even call me like they said they would- it was taking longer than a half hour like they said it would so I went to go see what was wrong. Then when I FINALLY got my keys back as for some reason someone was just carrying them around so they had to track them down, my car battery was dead when I went to leave. This is the worst auto service I have ever had. Go literally ANYWHERE else

I went there during my lunch break to see if I could get one tire replaced, they were pretty busy and said it'd be about 2 hours so I asked if I could buy the tire then and just come back after work to have them install it, to which the lady shrugged me away and said "No, we don't do appointments". So I come back after work, they're even less busy and the same lady says it'd be around 3 hours before they could even start working on my car. At around the same time a super upset customer came up to the counter saying that he's been there for 3 hours and his car has been in the shop for the last hour and a half and hasn't been touched. At this the lady at the counter that was currently helping me just up and left for a good 5 minutes and returned and said it'd be another hour and a half before his car would be ready. She was extremely rude to the other guy. After this whole debacle I just bought a tire and took it to Patriot and they were able to put it in about 20 minutes. It sucked having to pay 20 dollars to have the tire installed somewhere else, but if the customer service on the front end is that bad, I'll take my business somewhere else even if it is more expensive.

I tried to get my tires replaced, had problems with that. Decided to give them another chance so I took my car in for a standard oil change. Couldn't do that either.... Cannot call yourself an auto center if you cannot change tires or complete an oil change. Never doing business with them again.

Horrible service. Went to buy new tires right after work today stood in line until a gentleman asked John if the wait time was accurate - they were already 2 hours of logged service time. So after waiting for 30 minutes, and a line of people behind me, I verified that they aren t taking anymore today. 4 other people and I left, which is ridiculous! Only reason I m this upset is because, consecutively, the last 3 times (including this visit) I ve had service done by Walmart (this specific one) it s been bad. John asks questions instead of prompts (which is why it took the lady in front of me so long), and this last time I got my oil change (July 5) I specifically asked to have my fluids checked and level, and he scoffed and told me it was part of what I m paying for - well they forgot to do it the last time (April 1) AND didn t vacuum my floors (which is also included). I ran out of windshield wiper fluid for a minute the last time, and this time I ran out of coolant - which happened to be the hottest day of the year so far, causing misfires in my cylinders! I m NEVER going to this spot again, it s a sorry excuse for service!

Arrived just before 6pm. Website says closes at 7. Sign on door says closes at 8. Refused to change my oil, saying they usually stop taking people at 6 but they were busy. It s poor customer service to say you close at a certain time and then say you usually stop taking customers an hour or two before that. Seems like there are lazy people who want to leave early rather than complete a job for a customer who gets there over an hour before closing time. When I asked a manager, I got a vague, yeah it depends on how busy they are. It s hard to tell each day. Went to Jiffy Lube instead, who said as long as you ARRIVE before closing time, they change your oil. That s common sense and good customer service.

Got tires delivered but my appointment was moved due to them not having more than one machine to install the tires.

They installed a battery 4 years ago into my 84 Vette. I took a day off from work so that it could be replaced. After an hour, they called me and said they couldn't do it, because the manager "wasn't comfortable" doing it. A bracket needed removed. I let them know they had done it already and should pay me a day's vacation. You won't be wasting my time anymore, folks!AVOID THE AUTO DEPARTMENT!

avoid the Auto Center on Lima and Dupont.. the staff is rude, takes them 2 hours to do an oil change that would take a normal person 20 to 30 minutes. Then their oil changes are suppose to come with an interior vacuuming, which they did not. they was suppose to top off all the fluids,They DID NOT... I complained to management and they had me bring it back in and after I left,it still looked the same on the inside.. plus you wait FOREVER in line before getting help. So now on I'm going to Jiffy Lube or Tuffy or Quick Lube.

Wouldn t recommend this to anyone, always a long wait time, and estimated time they give is way off. Waited 3 hours to get my tires balanced, and then they come out and say that 8 lugnuts were stripped (which is not true because I had rotated the tires myself before and they were all just fine). They then put a bunch of random lugnuts on there that were too long so my hubcaps wouldn t fit on.Then I had to go spend $22 on 8 new lugnuts when they were the ones that stripped them.

They damaged my vehicle s drain plug last time I took it to get an oil change but didn t inform me about it until I took it to them again. They declined the oil change and told me that I needed to take my car back to where I had it changed before because the drain plug was rounded and I kept trying to tell them they were the ones I took it to last with last times receipt as proof but they still told me I needed to take it somewhere else to get the drain plug fixed before they can do an oil change so now I m stuck paying for their mistake. Just going to take it to an actual shop now that I know will take care of my car.

Extremely disappointed. Had 1 person show up on time. Oil change took an hour and that was only because manager assisted. Will never go back for tires as due to lack of associates they never looked at my tires like I asked.

After paying for an overpriced oil change (because it sounded nice to buy some odds and ends while they worked), my car sprung a huge oil leak. Along with that, my skid guard came off on the highway because they didn't put it back on properly. Not only will I never bring my car again, and urge others not to, now I need to negotiate how to get my dealership to bill Walmart for the destruction my car suffered as a result of their negligence.

I know, I know about getting oil changed at Wally World. BUT the people here actually can answer questions. They know what they're doing and actually check the fluids! Get here early for the shortest times. AT this location anyways..

Every time I went, there was a 2 hour wait. I asked when the best time to come for the shortest wait would be and they said right at opening. I came early and still waited a long time. The customer service is poor with a long wait in line to talk to the person at the counter and they don't even acknowledge you until it's your turn or apologize for the wait. If the prices weren't so competitive, I wouldn't come here. I don't typically write reviews, but it has been a fairly frustrating experience.

Got the usual pit crew. Waited for 1.5 hours just to get my car into the bay, but that's not too bad. What makes this the most terrible oil change service ever, was the fact that they had my car in the bay for 45 minutes before they came out and told me they could not perform the oil change because "there is a dent in your oil pan near the drain plug. If we try try to remove the drain plug, it might not go back in." Not only is this one of the most BS excuses ever, but also a personal inspection of the dent afterwards revealed that this dent was about 1/8" deep and about 1" away from the drain hole. A dent of this magnitude would absolutely not provide a big enough stress field to effect the bolt hole and threads. On top of this, if you can remove the drain plug w/o to much hassle, then that shows that there is not enough stress to warp the hole and keep you from re-inserting the plug. Obviously, not many real mechanics here. Lima Dupont Wal-Mart, Please hire people who actually know more about car maintenance than your average high schooler.
