Great place to get your car diagnosed but dont get the work done until you call around for prices. We were quoted 450 dollars more than what we should have been for the same service somewhere else? Not sure why? Everyone there is really nice and they do have great customer service but the prices are just too high.

Worst garage I have been to in Fort Wayne, complete dereliction of duty. I have a significant amount of experience working on cars, but sometimes you need a profession, which this Tuffy is not. I took it in for a diagnostic AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN POP THE HOOD. They wasted a significant amount of my money and time to entirely fail to diagnose an issue. After three separate trips to this garage, they told me that everything looked fine and was normal. Despite explaining the issue multiple times and a tech experiencing it while in the vehicle, Tuffy continually told me they couldn't find the issue. I later had a friend look at the vehicle in his home garage and he was quickly able to determine the cause of the issue. I took it to the dealer and it's fixed. Save yourself the money and let an amateur diagnose your car over this location.Edit: Despite Tuffy saying I would be contacted over a month ago, they have done nothing to resolve this, so at the very least they are consistent in their deficiency from shop to corporate.

My experience with Tuffy was great! I went in to have my brakes checked and the staff was professional, prompt, and very honest about the repairs. They had my truck fixed and back on the road quickly. I also appreciated that they never tried to upsale or talk me into anything else, they were strictly focused on what I needed for my vehicle. I will absolutely refer them to other people.

I have been taking my car to Tuffy for about a year now. They are always fast and provide great service. They explain any concerns they have about my car in a manner I can understand, and explain all of the possible ways to get the issue fixed. I used to take my car to Jiffy and got tired of the constant harassment and pressure to add on extra services/products when all I wanted was an oil change. I couldn't leave Jiffy without spending around $70!! Tuffy is reasonably priced and they do a great job!

Took my 2012 Grand Caravan to Tuffy on Monday Morning, they called after reviewing the problem and told my husband it needed a transmission solenoid. Stated if would be completed by Tuesday Afternoon. Didn't hear anything from them all day, then at 5:55 they called and said there was a problem and it wasn't completed yet. But assured us it would be completed by 10 a.m. on Wednesday and they would deliver the van to my husbands work. By 3 pm they called and said they were on their way to deliver. Since my van was there we also requested they go ahead and change the oil since it was due. I am not sure if the oil was changed or not though, my light is still saying oil change due and there is no sticker on my window to let me know when the next oil change is due. The communication is horrible at this place and I will NEVER take another vehicle to them.CONTINUED:DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANYTHING! Had a Transmission Solenoid replaced 3 weeks ago, and last Friday I found out now I need a new transmission and the solenoid is fine. I was quoted 3500.00 for a rebuilt transmission and 1900 for a used transmission. Called PROFESSIONAL transmission shops on Monday and every single one of them were cheaper for a rebuilt transmission than Tuffy was (almost by half). The place there were going to get my transmission rebuilt was even cheaper (Go figure)Had my van towed by the transmission shop we chose and they said that more than likely they missed the underlying problem of my van needing a transmission NOT A SOLENOID. So now we are out $1000.00 and now need to pay even more for a transmission which should have be done in the first place. They are overpriced and when it comes to transmission problems have no clue what they are doing in my opinion. I wouldn't even take my vehicle there for an oil change.

First of all the worst most unprofessional shop I've ever dealt with. I had a rear wheel clyinder, front shocks, steering gear box, oil pump gasket, oil pan gasket, and a drive shaft carrier bearing replaced. I was qouted 3 days of work, it took 8 days plus a weekend. When I picked up the truck the oil drain plug was loose, the air/oil mixing tube was disconnected, the rear drum brake was not put back together correctly, and the electrical plug for my rear abs was disconnected. I had to take it back for them to fix all of that. The day after I was leaving for south Carolina and I only made it to Marysville OH. My truck started to pour smoke out of the back of the truck I pulled over at a gas station and oil was coming out of the oil pan.If you are in need of any auto repair I would highly suggest going elsewhere. On top of the horrible service I never received a phone call from tuffys during the repair process. I only recived a call when they said it was done. I will never use tuffys again atleast not in fort wayne, IN. I am currently waiting on a tow truck.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I took my truck in for an oil change. Not even 2 weeks later i had to take it back in because my truck overheated and out of coolant, which it should have not been. While they were doing that I had them replace the windshield wiper. They installed them incorrectly and the wrong ones were put on. 3 weeks later driving in the pouring down rain, the drivers side arm pops off and comes down, cracking and scratching my windshield. Long story short they are saying it was MY fault.

Straight forward and reasonably priced. I had a blown head gasket on my first week of work. I took it to Tuffy and it took some time to get it done (and about $2k including a coolant flush and new spark plugs). But once everything was done my car worked like new! My heater core stopped working a long time ago and they fixed it right back up. I'm pretty happy with the experience and they gave me a decent quote for the front wheel bearing. Just kinda need to let my wallet recover though before I do that.

The service at Tuffy's is excellent. We are very pleased with the personal service, the friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere. The mechanics do a very good job in getting your car serviced fast but serviced correctly. There is never any hard-sell on stuff you do not need but offer suggestions with your full knowledge of what is going on with your vehicle.And if you are in a bind for time and transportation, they will go the extra mile to help you out.

The guys at Tuffy are beyond awesome. They've taken my beat up car and turned it into something I'm proud to drive again, and feel safe in! Very nice people, timely, affordable, and in my experience have gone out of their way to understand the problems with my car and solve them. Huge shout out to Dean for answering any questions I had in a way I understood, and for keeping an open line of communication!

I was very impressed with Tuffy. I went in for an oil change, which was done promptly and professionally (also very affordably). They pointed out a few things that needed fixed with the truck, which I knew existed prior to my visit. They had it taken care of the very same day as my appointment was for, even including rides to and from work. There is still a bit more work to be done, but I can say with confidence that I will be sticking with Tuffy all the way.

I don't have an option to give zero stars. Horrible attitude, the " gentlemen " with the handle bar mustaches was RUDE!!! He laughed and said I don't know when I asked him questions about my vehicle. He was not happy that I was not going to pay over 1400.00 for parts that were NOT necessary at that moment. it would not require all that to get a wheel alignment . The estimate did not even include an oil leak he said I had, but could not tell me anything about it other than that would be , yep, yet another huge fee .I sure had my day wasted waiting on a 3 pm appointment to just be treated the way I was . I'm now sitting at a much better place .My $ spends here, too. You lost my business and I would not recommend you to anyone . EVER!!!

Excellent service. This used to be my place of choice before buying a new car and taking it to the dealership. I went in today because I had a flat tire with a large piece of metal in the tire. The tire was not fixable and needed to be replaced so he recommended I take it to the dealership and check on any warranties (I had extended warranty that ended up replacing it for free.) Also, they were able to put on my spare tire quickly even though I showed up with no prior notice. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a reliable auto service center.

Very friendly and professional. I have been having a problem with my car for a long time and have taken it to many other service places to be looked at and none of them could figure out what was wrong or fix it. I take it to Tuffy's for an oil change and explain to them the issue I've been have with the car. Finally my car is fixed! I will always be taking my car there for service.

We took our vehicle in when it was stalling out and it did need work. The bill ended up being over $2500.00. Less than three weeks later, the vehicle began acting exactly the way it had been when we took it in initially. They refused to stand by the work or even look to see what could have caused it without charging for an additional diagnostic and labor. They also refused to stand by their work and said there was no guarantee when we picked up the vehicle that it had been solved for good- they did 2500 dollars worth of work- but couldn't be bothered to ensure it was done correctly. As far as we are concerned, they did everything they could to jack up the price with no intention of doing high quality work to ensure the problem had been resolved. You dont charge $2500 for work that ok only lasts three weeks, and think that's good business.

My car was making a loud noise coming from the rear axle area. I wasn t sure what it was thought it might be wheel bearings. Took it to the plantation tuffy s and told them to drive it find the problem and give me an estimate. Steve called back said it was a rear wheel bearing. Reasonable estimate so I told him to fix it, no rush as he had to order bearings. 2 days later it is fixed riding smooth and quiet. Thanks to all great job gentlemen.

If you need anything more than a regular service this isn t the place to go , I ve gone there for for years and every time it seems to be some kind of hassle or mis understanding between the office and the techs . Most recently took my car in to figure out an electrical issue as well as fix my air condition and cruise control , I ended up paying 900 dollars for my car when they said it was done , mind you I gave them my new number and I still had to keep calling up there to check on my car because no matter how many times I passed along the correct number they still called my old one and so if I hadn t called to check on my car I don t think I would of ever heard from them and when I finally got ahold of them they had no comments on my car told me to come get it right away and I paid them 900 dollars while all the techs were on lunch and they sent me on my way after telling me my car was fixed... on the drive home and over the course of the next day or so I realized My cruise control does not work my lights still do not work and my a/c also does not work after 900 dollars of work at tuffy. I m not one to make a review unless I really feel a certain way. I would never give this place my business again nor would I suggest anyone else ever go here.

The customer service here is above and beyond other shops. Our van wouldn't start and they drove to my spot and tried to fix it to save me the towing fee. They couldn't diagnose it there so they had it towed to their shop where they found the problem and got it fixed for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys above anyone else!

I had my oil changed earlier today. It was last minute but they were able to fit me in quickly and efficiently. The staff is so nice and does an excellent job. I have been there more than once and will continue to return. I suggest this place for anyone interested in car work/repair/maintenance. Thank you tuffy!

EXCELLENT service every time. After moving from Mississippi I was worried about finding a car care shop that would be HONEST and AFFORDABLE. After just one service at Tuffy Plantation, I knew I had found the place. From oil changes to brakes, EVERY service EVERY time has been EXCELLENT!

We have been going to Tuffy's Plantation for over 15 years. They are always respectful and honest. We recently replaced a muffler. The repairs were done promptly and accurately. Prices are fair and estimates are right on target. They have done all our maintenance and repairs, from mufflers, to brakes, to oil changes, batteries, and steering issues.

My car was towed to your shop on May 15 and I was promptly waited on. Left around 3;30 PM and received a call shortly after arriving home. Bad fuel pump. I said fix it. Was told that it would be done and ready late Thursday. Received a call about noon telling it was ready. I really appreciate the quick service.

I was impressed with the professionalism and customer service right when I walked into the store. Fred was very patient, answering all my questions regarding all the things I needed to repair with my Honda CRV. Several of the repairman were willing to show me everything in need of repair or replacement and gave me a good idea on what could wait and what really needed to take priority. I will be back for regular maintenance!

Went in for an oil change...Quick and easy....great prices as well...Never had an issue with taking my car to Tuffy at Plantation in fort wayne. They always find anything that could be wrong and fix it at a reasonable price. They also shuttle you to and from wherever you need to go if you cant wait....LOVE TUFFY and thank you

Installed my wifes wiper blades WRONG. Wiper blade flew off and the blade arm cracked the windsheild. They refused to take responsibility. Said that she caused the damage. Stay far away from this crooked business. This used to be a good honest business unfortunately not any more. Ill be sure to spread the word about our ordeal. CROOKS!!!

Talked to Kenny on the phone about pricing and whatnot, he was very friendly and explained everything to me so I would understand since I dont know a lot about cars. The pricing is very reasonable and everyone there was very friendly as well. Great experience and plan to use them for my future service needs.

I am now a Tuffy fan! My husband always used Tuffy; unfortunately, I had always used a competitior -- until yesterday. After an extremely disappointing visit to the local service place, I pulled into Tuffy. I was greeted immediately by a congenial attendant who listened, answered my questions, and proceeded to quickly take care of the situation with my car. The whole experience was easy. Tuffy now has a new customer!

I needed my car to be repaired during the day while I was at work. After I dropped my car off they took me to work, and when it was finished, someone came to pick me up from work. It was so convenient! I was a little dissapointed I did not get to use my discount card that I had recieved from another Tuffy Auto in Ft. Wayne, but they explained why they could not use it at the store. I think it would be a good idea if all the Tuffy Auto Services in Ft. Wayne would work togeather to offer similiar services so others won't run into this confusion. Thank you guys!
