My Nissan Versa needed a transmission flush. It was jerking and the engine light was on. I also had a rear brake light out and asked that they fix that as well.I live in Columbus, Indiana, and after calling 6 places, the lowest quote I received was $250, with an additional $50 -$100 for a new filter....I kid you not!On a visit to Ft. Wayne last month, Tuffy on Dupont gave my car a transmission flush for $125.The brake light was fixed with no charge. It was a loose wire that they took the time to fix. I am so happy to know there are honest good people like these guys around. My car is running better than it ever has!I will continue to bring my car to Tuffy on Dupont. It is well worth the drive.I cannot express enough my level of gratitude and appreciation.

They are just awesome! I can't say enough about the owner, Ken, David, and the staff. They saved me so much money (over $1000) compared to what a competitor had stated about my exhaust system. Will definitely refer friends to them whenever I get a chance.

I received great service, fair price, and a quality repair of my broken exhaust, that Evans Toyota and Fort Wayne Toyota, did not diagnose correctly for months. Took my wife's Toyota Sequioa into this Tuffy for an estimate on what the noise was underneath the vehicle, and within minutes, the truck was in the air, and a very fair estimate was provided. The work was done correctly, and i was treated as a valued customer.Great 2nd experience with the staff and lead of the shift. Highly recommended

Friendly, capable, and the best part HONEST. So often places try to blow smoke at you and run up the charges. I loved working with these guys. Will definitely be coming back.

These guys are awesome! I had been all over town and spent the last year and a half looking for someone who could get my Armada aligned properly. All the other guys kept coming up with excuses and telling me it couldn't be properly aligned due to needing a part replaced, and every time I replaced that part, the problems would get worse. So after having all the control arms and suspension replaced, my truck was way out of spec and completely undrivable. I brought it to these guys as a last resort, and they pulled through! I could see the tech struggle in frustration, but instead of giving up, he kept going and got it almost factory perfect! It's never driven better, and their techs and equipment are top-notch. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Great place, a gentleman I spoke with REALLY knew his stuff, It's good when you can speak with someone who's knowledgeable, one can learn.Tuffy will be my go to for car maintenance.

Great customer service and a fast turnaround on a manual transmission repair. Josh was the tech that did the work and finished the job in one day versus the week I expected. When I went to pick up the car he came to the front and answered my questions concerning the job. He gave a great explanation of the work done and then offered to show me the old parts where he took the time to explain the failure. Excellent customer interaction.Mohammed at the front desk was great with returning calls and keeping me up to date on the process. Very professional and courteous.Both Josh and Mohammed exceeded my expectations. As much as it stinks to have an expensive repair, the excellent service made the process feel like money well spent. Thanks to them both.

Took my car into Tuffy for exhaust service. Tuffy diagnosed problem and gave me several options for a fix. They started the work and got me out in less than one hour, as they estimated the job.

I've been to this tuffy 5 times. I was bringing 2 vehicles to be serviced here. I don't plan on returning. An Employee "David" is not professional. Funny jokes are okay. Rude jokes are not. His inappropriate vocabulary is not up to Tuffy Standards. While waiting he was rude and inappropriate also to multiple customers. Then he was rude to me. This review isn't to belittle the business. Hopefully the owner can improve upon customer relations. David needs to be reprimanded and retrained.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

Needed rear brakes replaced and an oil change. I had two stripped lug nuts from the previous shop that rotated my tires. The job took longer than planned due to the lug nuts and even thought they closed at 4, they stayed until after 6 to ensure that I was able to get back on the road the same day. Communication was great. They truly went above and beyond for us!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto maintenance, Oil change

For two years I have had a check engine light on my dash. The dealership wouldn t even chase down the gremlin. The techs here are rock solid and not only took on the job, but fixed it affordably. Good auto work is hard to find in Fort Wayne, but with Tuffy on Dupont, you found it!

Josh and David are amazing! They did not make me feel pressured and answered all of my questions without judgment! Being a new person to the city, it felt nice being that welcomed to the shop!Will definitely only be going to this location!!Josh was able to fix my truck very quickly and explained everything in detail so that I knew what truly was going on!Love the blue tool box too haha!!Thank you both for fixing big red for me! 2014 Cadillac XTS Luxury - DUPONT LOCATION - went in for clunking 3 different quotes with different pricing and diagnoses, 10 days and $2700 later, still clunking. Picked car up, it was greasy and dirty on beige leather BUT I HAPPILY PAID AND WENT OUT OF PARKING LOT NOTICING NO CHANGE AT ALL. NO WAY THEY EVEN DROVE CAR TO SEE IF CLUNKING WAS GONE. No pre-inspection pictures taken, OWNER ACTED LIKE I WAS TRYING TO GET A REFUND WHEN I SAID WHY DONT I HAVE ANY PICTURES OF THE THINGS THAT I AM QUOTED. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! LITERALLY DID EVERYTHING BESIDES FIX THE FRONT CLUNKING NOISE, STILL TOLD IT IS KUNCKLE AND YOKE, WE KNOW IT NOW. WENT TO DEALERSHIP TODAY, IT IS NOT!! WAS TOLD BY OWNER DEALERSHIP WAS ABSOLUTELY WRONG FROM START I DID NOT NEED STRUTS IN FRONT JUST ROTORS ALL WAY AROUND AND REAR SHOCKS AND SWAY BAR LINKS. REFUND FOR SWAY BAR LINKS AND ACT LIKE THEY WORKED A MIRACLE WHEN THE FRONT IS STILL CLUNKING. GUESS WHAT - FRONT STRUTS IS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED!THERE LITTLE NICE GESTURES OF FREE OIL CHANGE FOR SO MANY INCOVENIENCES BUT I JUST WANTED THE ROOT ISSUE FIXED - EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES BUT THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND CONTINUOUS ISSUES AND MISCOMMUNICATION IS UNACCEPTABLEMOHAMMED PROVIDED GREAT SERVICE NO ISSUE WITH HIM.MY DAUGHTER USED TO USE COLDWATER FOR OIL CHANGES AND SCOTT IS AWESOME! ONLY COMPETENT AND HONEST PERSON. HOWEVER, NOW WHEN I SEE THAT BIG YELLOW SIGN AND I FEEL PURE DISSONANCE TO SAY THE LEAST. WE HAVE A FLEET OF CARS 4 OF OUR OWN AND (11 ADULT KIDS WITH CARDS) NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO EVEN HAVE AIR FILLED IN THEIR TIRE BY TUFFY.

Misdiagnosed my problem and wanted to charge me 1300 for service after 140$ estimate.Problem was liftgate switch was in off position. Simple fix. No tools are parts needed.

very disenpointed I had a tire installed on a rim that I brought in and they said $20 and then they charged me an extra $9.00 for environmental charge and never said anything about that I am not happy I have 9 vehicle's looks like I'll be going some where else next time

Took my car in to get the AC fixed. They gave me a $1800 quote to replace everything related to the AC. Looked up the exact parts they quoted me, and every single part was at least double sometimes triple the actual cost of the part. I would never even trust this shop with my nephews remote control car.Btw I took that same car to a different shop and got an estimate for $600 out the door and everything tuffy said was wrong with it was completely inaccurate. All that needed was a new sensor, AC recharged, and some labor. Couldn't be more happy with the work that I actually got done to my car. And I am beyond happy I didn't get it done at tuffy. Never take your car her for any reason. For better service try the Lee's next door cause there might be a decent machic there taking lunch.

These guys are amazing! They truly do what s best for each individual customer. They treat you like a person, not like a business opportunity. They let me make an appointment a bit later than they take most guests because it's the only time that would fit into my work schedule. Two of the Tuffy guys worked for almost an hour to fix a problem that was unexpected and unrelated to the initial reason for my visit free of charge. They stayed past work hours to help me out and were super cheerful about it. As the manager started closing down, I apologized for having to keep everyone there late, and he smiled and said it was no problem - my safety was the most important thing. While I was waiting, I watched the staff work with other customers and they seemed to get to know each of them individually. They also helped customers with discounts and advice wherever they could offer it. I will 100% always go to Tuffy for my auto needs, and I d recommend it to everyone else. They have phenomenal customer service and they get the job done right!

For a simple brake job, they wanted to charge me almost $600. Pads and rotors on a newer vehicle. The parts cost $150, even with a 33%markup it will still only be $200. So that would be almost $400 in shop supplies and labor. So charging somebody for over 3 hours in labor for a job that literally took me an hour to do myself. Is that even legal? What a ripoff. "We need to inspect it first to give you a more accurate price" which translates to "We need to see what else we can charge you for"

I drive a German made SUV which required extensive work so I went to Dupont Tuffy for an estimate. In the past, I've had some bad (and costly) experiences in other local garages where the estimates were questionable and sometimes I wondered if the work was really necessary. Other times you feel like a hostage because they routinely call to advise the work will exceed the estimate. Once the other garages did the repairs, they lacked quality and didn't stand by their work. No more.......I explained to Ken that I needed someone that I could trust and depend on. He gave me a fair estimate and took the time to explain in detail all the work that needed to be done. The service was done timely and stayed within the estimate. No surprises!! What a nice change. I've already referred friends to them and will continue to send referrals. Thanks Ken, you've gained a long term customer.

David and his team of tru professionals brought my rust bucket back to life! Rebuild front end, tires, brakes, alignment, and financing that didnt care about my credit issues. I have been taking my car to Tuffy Dupont for about 3 years now. Mostly for oil changes but have had a few repairs done also. Ken has always treated me fairly and he and his employees are so nice to work with. Finally a shop that a female can trust. I love the shuttle service also, so convenient for the person who works days. I live way on the other side of town but continue to go all the way out to Dupont Road for service because that's what I get....great service! Thanks Ken!

Great service at Tuffy on Dupont. They know what they're doing and are very friendly people. Before making some big changes to the car, they approached me, showed me what needed to be changed and why and then proceeded to tell me how much longer I could drive on my brake pads and rotors before they went completely bad.Good service all the way around.

We needed brakes and rotors replaced on our vehicle. My wife had suggested Tuffy because she used them before and was impressed. We were in the hunt for an auto service company we could trust. The service people were very helpful and friendly, and I was even able to meet the store owner and talk a little about their service quality. I was shocked by the price of the repair, but not how you would expect - it was lower than I'd anticipated! Usually that works the other way! We have two higher-mileage vehicles and we want them to last a long time...we trust Tuffy to help us keep them going.
