The team at this Tuffy, especially Tim and Aaron are the best. We took our Subaru in to have both of the ball joints, replaced, and when driving it home from the shop, one of the joints failed. Tim took great care of us, sending out a tow company to retrieve the car and repair the fault at no expense to us (we have less than stellar things to say about the towing company, but will save that review for their page). The team at this shop is knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Tim is awesome.

In the past I have had good experiences at Tuffy Tire however my latest experience wasn't ideal. My muffler and exhaust pipe needed replaced and although they did fix the issue I feel as if I was overcharged. I looked up the parts at Advanced Auto and found they were much cheaper & that Tuffy charged me almost triple what I could've got them for elsewhere. I understand they can order higher quality parts but getting car repairs is already expensive in today's world so I'd appreciate the cheaper option. On top of that the labor charge was $258 for a 30-60 minute job. After the fact I called around to see what other shops would've charged and found that Tuffy charged double if not more than any of the other places I called. I will not be returning and will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Affordable and friendly service. My oil change was done in a reasonable amount of time, and I was not pressured to purchase any services that weren t needed. The staff were all friendly and didn t try to rush me even though I had one of the later appointments, and I m sure they were all ready to go home. They have great hours & are very accommodating. Definitely my new go to place for oil changes!

Don't expect them to honor their online quotes at all. You would think that even if the auto needed a little more work than what the quote was for that they would at least honor the quote for the portion of work that the quote was for. Also they said that I needed 4 new tires, but I just bought 2 of the 4 tires just a couple of months ago and they still look new. ??? I think they are crooks.

I had an O2 sensor go out. I knew it and told them. Charged me $100 and took 2 hours to tell me something, I told them was already wrong. Then they charged me another $300 for the sensor and labor. Over $400 for an 02 sensor. Do you realize. This isn't my first car. Your service and mechanics charged me $402.00 and took 4 hours to diagnose and repair an upstream 02 Sensor. 2 other shops and the past say: "You rip people off!"

I keep coming back for oil changes tire rotation and specials.Tim at the desk is fair and friendly. I can trust the mechanics and technician's to be honest when they talk to me not down to me.Tuffy will offer you options.

Tim and the other front desk person are very nice friendly and knowledgeable. They will not take advantage of you if you car do or don't need any repairs. I highly recommend this place.

We have used Tuffy for years, they always use honesty and don t try to scam which keeps us returning. Friendly mechanics who do phenomenal work and meet or exceed the promised deadline for repairs!

I consistently have a good experience at Tuffy Tire and Auto Center. The issues and questions I have with my car are always resolved and the price has always been reasonable! This will always be my go to car place in Fort Wayne.

They have always done right for us and given us honest prices. Recently had some service work done and they were 150 less than the dealer price, using oem spec fluids (showed me products used as requested). Thanks Jeff and Aaron - God Bless!

I was quoted a price on phone which was double when they got through. Wrong oil, charged me for oil filter which was suppose to be included,and didn't put air in my tires. I doubt they even rotated them. Won't go back. Worst service ever. This past Friday and my add air light came on for my tires. What the heck I now have to start using the expensive oil or get a complete oil flush because they put wrong oil in. Did they even change my oil?? They didn't rotate my tires as the coupon stated nor did I receive the free oil filter. I had to pay extra for it. $108.00 DOLLARS FOR A OIL CHANGE IS EXPENSIVE PLUS I had a $20 off coupon

It was a good experience. All employees there are military vets and very polite. Great discount if you're a vet. The only issue I have is my odometer is not right and neither is the exterior temp reading. Not sure if that happened when they re-set the oil change sensor or what. But over all, the experience was good. Make an appointment, because they're pretty prompt on being on time.

Ohmigosh! Amazing customer service!! We had an ordeal on Memorial Day when we tried to pick up a U-Haul trailer and discovered that the rusted hitch on our old truck was too small. We called Tuffy and they squeezed us in immediately and worked hard to get the old rusted on hitch removed for us it was a process. The employees were so helpful and so nice and they didn t charge us- instead, they thanked my husband for being a vet and sent us on our way! Thank you SO much Tuffy!! You saved the day!!!

I called in the morning. They were get me in that day. This was even though they are a very busy place. Jeff was very helpful. While I waited to get my brakes done he gave me fishing tips since I'm new to the area. I will definitely be back for any other services I need for my vehicle. Every experience at Tuffy on Jefferson Blvd in Fort Wayne, In has been wonderful! Tim is THE BEST! Always great service with a smile. I trust these guys completely! I know they will only do the work that is necessary. They stand behind their work and truly care about their customers! I won't go anywhere else! Excellent service all around! Tim and his crew were very responsive in setting up my appointment and keeping me informed on what was needed to fix my car s brakes.They took their time to ensure everything was ready to drive, including doing their own test drive before handing back my keys. Jeffrey Denny was wonderful to work with. Our car over heated and had to be towed. He got us in right away and gave us a full diagnostic of the problems with our car. He has a wealth of knowledge about cars and is honest about pricing. Highly recommend coming to see this Tuffy team with any problems you may have with your car.

Super friendly! Went in thinking I was going to have to spend over $1000 for suspension work because that s what I was told by another place. Tuffy did my oil change and transmission fuel flush and diagnosed an issue I m having. Checked suspension and said it all looked good. I will recommend to anyone I speak to. My wife and I took our car in for an oil change/tire rotation. The morning of the appointment our tire pressure light came on, which seemed like good timing for where it was going. The oil change and tire rotation were the only things performed, to the letter. I worked in the mechanic business, from oil change summer jobs, to certified auto technician for around 15 years in total, I'm no longer in that business. I've literally done thousands of these services and never did I work for a place that doesn't bother to fill up your tire pressure to the correct levels, or top up your windshield washer fluid, nor would such a thing be acceptable at any place I've worked. The fluid I get, it's a small cost cutting measure, the tire pressure light glowing in your face is a much different matter. Along with these things, this place still subscribes to the 3 month/ 3000 mile archaic idea of oil change intervals. The oil is a synthetic blend, which is capable of much longer than 3000 miles ( the car recommends around 5000) and the idea that your oil just goes bad in the engine after 3 months is still baffling to me, why is this still a thing?Keeping with the archaic theme, the man who cashed us out made a very old fashioned, sexist comment to my wife, after I had "made her" pay for the service, to her car... Service was excellent. Ken (Kev?) made sure to keep me updated with my vehicle, and worked with me on a plan for the repairs. Although my tires were not rotated with my oil or brake change, I wasn t worried about it. Cost was a bit higher than I expected to pay, but again, Ken (Kev?) and I were able to talk through everything.Overall, the service is great, and the cost is reasonable. Minus 1 star for not rotating my tires (which was likely just overlooked, not neglected).Services: Brakes, Oil change

I typically do my own work on my cars because I have been ripped off so many times by dishonest mechanics. Let me tell you a few things about these guys.1. They didn't roll their eyes when I started talking shop with them. They recognized that I knew a little bit about cars and how they work and They treated me with respect. I really appreciated that.2. They took the time (when they were swamped) to make some phone calls to get best and worst case cost scenarios on custom exhaust work. They never once got frustrated or acted like I was an inconvenience.3. They answered all my questions patiently and thoroughly.4. And most importantly, they are genuine and honest guys!5. They did a fantastic job, offered me a loaner car, and charged me $400 less than they quoted because there were some things they didn't have to do. Please note, they were things that I would have had no clue one-way or another if they did it or not. So DEFINITELY honest guys!I do my own oil changes, but theirs are very inexpensive and there is a coupon for $19.99 oil chg and includes a tire rotation!Definitely will be recommending them to everyone I know!!!
