These guys are absolutely amazing! I had two engine codes and I took the car to them. They diagnosed the problem for free and found that it was low on oil. Filled it up and didn't charge me a dime. Extremely trustworthy and they have a customer for life.

So before I take my two daughters on vacation, I get a used tire from this place.i am told It s a great tire yeah right I get 70 miles out of town and it starts telling me my tire pressure is low as I am watching 1 pound disappear from that tire every 15 minutes, I can see my vacation going downhill I call them because it was two hours before they put it on and they pretty much tell me sorry about my luck, nothing they can Nor will do all I can do is review telling everyone about my experience btw nail in sidewall have to buy a new one

I have been a regular to this place for quite some time my whole family used to come here also I work in Kendallville so my oil changes were frequent I got an oil change ended up with code said my cam shaft position sensor was bad took it to hires they tell me my oil pan was cracked and I need a new motor, I never drove over anything or nothing of that nature to get a cracked oil pan, I baby my car! Got it replaced (motor) through Tom even though I had suspicions of them messing it up, kept getting a code p0172 thermostat code I remember the code by heart because it was frequently coming up, made many appointments I had to wait a long time for, to get code fixed went about three times I would drive a little and code kept coming back as if it was only cleared! Took it to dodge got a new thermostat and never had the problem oh and my appointments for the thermostat were under warranty and still no resolution until I took it to the dodge dealer and had to pay almost 400 I would avoid this place at all costs or you will be paying for more costly repairs!!

Called to set up an appt for new tires and the person who took my call was very rude and disrespectful. I went elsewhere for my tires.

I recently visited Tom Steele South to have some repairs. The moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and a welcome. This alone is a breath of fresh air. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful and they make sure your car gets in to see a technician asap. They will present you with their findings and give you an estimate before anything is started. At this point, they will happily explain and answer any questions that you may have. They have a very nice waiting area if you choose to stay during the repair. If you choose to leave, they are good about keeping in touch with you. The entire staff is open and honest and will try to help you any way they can.I highly recommend Tom Steele South as my entire family has, and will continue to use them for any mechanical or tire repairs.Please note that they do not take walk-ins. An appointment is required.

They take advantage of women being easy targets and will over charge after the work is done. Was quoted one price but when I received the bill they added on $$ in labor . With no explanation. But had it done in half the time they said. How do you charge twice as much for half the hours?

The mechanics welcomed me and took a look at the tire I had in my trunk without me having to park. Gave me their opinion. Walked in for some pricing and they were quick and honest. Wrote down what I needed and welcomed me to call around or come back and they d have me a new tire within 24hrs.

Dave was awesome to work with and got me back on the road with affordable tires after I had a blowout. Only place in town with a tire this size in town.

It says a lot about a car repair shop when you can send your 19 year old daughter there with her car and trust that they will treat her fairly and with respect. I get all my oil changes there Tom Steele. I get all my automotive needs taken care of at Tom Steele. They are wonderful from wiper blades to oil changes to tires to fix in the motor whatever it takes whatever it needs they can do it

Had a big bulge in my sidewall, they kept it honest that it wasn't safe to patch it. I started at the Illinois location, and even tho they didn't have any used tires they called their other location and got me a good used tire for 33 bucks out the door! They were kind, caring, and friendly. I really appreciated their skilled services and friendliness!

This company was very helpful. I had sudden car troubles and couldn't move my car from its parking lot. Not only did they recommend a tower (that was very affordable) to bring it around, but they got to work on it almost right away, and I had it back really quick. The folks are very friendly and I highly recommend their services

I've taken all my cars to Tom Steele West for years. They've never disappointed. Honest, and won't oversell you on services you don't need. If they see a potential issue that needs addressed in the future, they will let you know; they won't scare you into doing today (like other shops). THANKS!

My car was driving funny. I thought my tires needed alignment. I scheduled an appointment and took my car in for a check on my lunch break. The gentleman took my car into the garage while I waited. 10 minutes later another gentleman came into the waiting area to check that I have been waited on (good customer service). The first gentleman came back 15 minutes later and explained that my tire was rotting ( due to the dealership I purchased my car from failing to properly maintain them). He couldn't provide a replacement tire and did not charge me a single cent for the service. I went to a second location to purchase a tire and they agreed with the assessment (accurate diagnostic). They are an above the board, honest business. I hear nothing but good things from people I know who also patronage them. Also, they were timely so I didn't miss any work.

I got a phone quote to replace a rusted out broken Shackle on my 2002 Chevy truck 4 x 4, the leafspring Is in proper working condition but had broke its way through the bed because of the broken rusty shackle. I had to make an appointment a week in advance because of their busy schedule. Worth the wait. I brought it in on the day scheduled, he looked it over, said yeah it s Rusty like they all are n we repair these for the price I quoted over the phone, Which kind of surprised me because the week prior I had a bait and switch price with another shop just down the street. He said it d take a couple hours, they called me in an hour n half I picked it up and its great. Tom steel held to the phone quote, this is the most trouble free hassle free car repair experience I have ever had I can t recommend these people enough! Thank you Tom Steele tire for not just keeping your word on fair pricing but doing a hassle free timely repair. This place has great mechanics. Update, several weeks later and the repair is perfect!

Great service. Other places had given me trouble about a tire repair or needed to schedule 3 days away. We were in and out within 40 minutes. Highly recommend a visit.

This is my go-to auto shop. Consistently under $80 for light repairs and sometimes half that. Full front end check with o2, plugs, fluid and brakes for less than $400. Sometimes think they dont charge enough!! This place is awesome!!!

Local and great service. Four ride-flat tires were quite a bit less expensive that had we gotten them from the BMW dealer. But without a spare, not even a space saver one we are convinced we have to have them.

The guys that work there are cool except for Sam. His attitude over the years has gotten worse. For as much money as I have spent over the years and then to talked to like I'm just some annoyance is just ridiculous!!!! Me and my family have done bussiness with them for years. We will not be going back there as long as he's there.

Very great service. Noticed a broken part on my car that wouldn't let it align rather then just charging me for the alignment. Will go back whenever I need an alignment.
