Had a breakdown on the highway. Ended up getting towed and had to pick an Auto shop to help me out. Summit City was able to look at my car and get me fixed same day. I was expecting multiple days before getting my car back and I was expecting a bigger bill. The price and time frame were better than what I m used to seeing and my car has been running great with no problems for a few days now. I will definitely be going back if I have issues with any other vehicles.

I would HIGHLY recommend you do not take your vehicle to get it repaired here. Read this review and move on. Don't make the same mistake I did, you ll end up costing yourself more money in the long run. After speaking with multiple people who have also used this shop, I know I am not the first person they have done this to!When I first started taking my car here everything was good. (Just for oil changes at first) Then ended up needing new brakes, rotors, and a caliper. As well as my check engine light coming on. For the check engine light, The guy said it was a bad thermostat. Replaced it, then the light came on again a few days later. Took it back, he said it was the sensor, so I paid to replace it. Few days later, light comes back on and my temp gauge starts fluctuating constantly. Took it back, THIS MAN TOLD ME IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY ENGINE COMPUTER. I took it to a Hyundai repair shop in which they told me I had a coolant leak. Took it back to this place for him to fix the issue the right way knowing what the problem was and the guy all of a sudden found the leak and said he fixed it. Fast forward another week later and same freaking thing happens!!! Finally took it to someone else in which they found he put black - sealant like stuff on the tube in place of an o ring that was causing it to leak probably the whole time. Not to mention I paid for oil changes I don t believe he even did (took it somewhere else for an oil change 3,000 miles after he supposedly changed it and they told me I should ve came in way before I did with how dirty my oil and filter were) I got new brake calipers and brake lines that he replaced and he not only didn't do a brake flush, he left the brake fluid right at the low level.

We have been taking our cars to Summit for 9 years. Oil change, headlight replacement, tire repair, etc. Highly recommend. They have always been 100% honest with us and a pleasure to interact with. Recommend without reservation.

Dave and his crew are amazing! He s worked on my car twice and has done an amazing job! The second time, my car coincidentally broke down in front of his shop on the way to the dealership to get a recall repair. Dave not only fit me in right away but he had my car fixed by the next day. He also sourced a used part to cut my repair cost in half to fit my budget. Not only is this an excellent shop but it is run by excellent people!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

They were so nice and helpful in explaining what was wrong with my vehicle when I brought it in. I am a student at PFW and even get a discount here. Will definitely be bringing my car here for oil changes and whatever fixes I need in the future while I am in fort wayne!

The guy behind the desk is very down to earth. He, also, worked to get my car in, to help get my window fixed, while I was at work. I dropped it off and they just fit it in where they could.Both seem kind and helpful.It has a friendly small town feel in a big town. It's nice

Good service. I had my brakes done but not long after I was getting brake dust on the wheels. I took it back in and they upgraded me to a better brake pad. I paid for the upgraded pads but they covered the labor. The main thing is they backed their work and made it right.

Summit City Car Care is honest, fairly priced, and knowledgeable with every vehicle I have brought in. They take the time to explain repairs, future service needs, and know I can trust them. I found Summit City Car Care after getting fed up with dealer service departments and have been a loyal customer since 2007. Always very impressed with the service, knowledge, and price!

Thanks for taking good care of my son's sudden need for assistance in today's icy cold conditions. Your service technician didn't have to cross the street to the credit union to jump his car, but he did. Didn't have to get his vehicle into the shop immediately to check for issues, but you did. Didn't have to install a battery purchased elsewhere, but you did. You took good care of a young man with little car-service experience friendly, ethical, respectful, promptly attentive, at a reasonable price; and all with helpful interaction to make it a good learning experience for him. Thank you!

Dave and his crew operate this locally owned garage the way it used to be, before big box corporate garages flooded the country. Great service and honest prices. I won't take my car anywhere else.

A month ago, I took in a 1999 Chrysler Concorde for a pre-buy inspection and told them that if I buy the car and it turns out as they diagnosed it, I would write them a good review. Well, they inspected the car, I bought it, and it turned out exactly as they diagnosed it, so I am writing them a good review. David and his son work for Jim, who is the owner. I found all three gentlemen to be competent and honest. I recommend them highly.

I have never had a bad time here. The staff is very inviting and they get it done right the first time! It is a very nice shop. I have taken my vehicle here for about 7 years and as long ad they are open I will continue taking my car here.

I've taken multiple cars here over the last decade. Their service and knowledge is top notch, and their prices are low. I highly recommend them, especially if you think your current mechanic is overpriced.

They won't lie to you even if the truth hurts. I replaced a cv axle on my car, and a week later heard roaring noise. So I figured... great, now a wheel bearing? No press, off to a shop! Well, I got my car in and out of Summit City, and they just straight up told me- "Yes, wheel bearing. But it's because you tighted that axle nut too tight when you replaced your axle."Now that's honesty.

I can't take my car here without another problem magically coming out the blue. I'll never come back. I also paid $550 for a problem to get fixed.. when it wasn't I took it back and they tried to charge me another $120 for a problem that should of been fixed the first time.

Needed brakes and dropped the truck off day before and before noon next day was finished and very very reasonable. Checked with others and they were cheaper. Love them. One more thing they showed me the brakes and wow they were bad

Does anyone, including the manager, get fed up (or embarrassed) of having the face of their business--the outside appearance looking so dismal & run-down year after year? As a business in a neighborhood, wouldn't you desire to put your best foot forward and keep things up to not only show respect & pride in your business, but to draw new clients in? Weeds, gauche colors and signage that fights against the architecture style of the front building. * You guys being on a high traffic corner could make a Monumental, positive statement about the neighborhood and your business if you fix things up. You should go with a 1940s theme & lettering with darker, richer colors to match the building. It begs the question: AT WHAT POINT DO YOU SAY, THIS NEEDS FIXING UP? People would take notice... After all, you have the word 'Care' in your name. Thanks for reading

Never again I needed a new radiator hose instead of putting a new one on he cuts it and puts the same one back on know my hoses is not flowing right smh why did he just put a new one on the 1st time by the way he made me pay him $70 for the same hose please y'all let me know is that right or wrong for making me pay him.Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection
