When we first started taking out car to North Wells, we had great service and never doubted the repairs. But as time progressed, we kept taking our car back for the same issue, with no answers to the issue but a litany of other expensive repairs. Finally took it to a different mechanic, who identified and fixed the issue in ONE visit.

Been going to NW for 15+years. And I have never had a problem with the service. They let you know what needs fixed soon or what can wait. Never stirring you wrong. Staff is friendly and Michael is the best.#1in my book..

North Wells Auto Service just solved an electrical problem that no other auto repair could solve (including the chevy dealer). You might think this is just a small shop that can't handle the big stuff. The opposite is true. They have the equipment and skill to handle issues far beyond an oil change. Also they are hands on. When you have a question you're talking to the mechanic not a service person. North Wells has been in Fort Wayne quite awhile. It is a well established business that can tackle all your auto repair needs. And a plus is the friendly home atmosphere!

Honest, courteous, knowledgeable service center. Took my car here after an incorrect diagnosis and repair at another shop. They have always called and explained in detail the issues before performing any repairs. Definitely recommend!

I couldn t find anyone in town to work on my VW, and when I did they overcharged without notice. NorthWells was my savior! They are always friendly and willing to explain the issue kindly! I converted my whole family! I ve been back many times.

I got this bushing "replaced" 6 months ago. Long story short, I took my Malibu to Goodyear Auto Service, and they could not do my alignment due to a bad bushing. Well, I made Goodyear show me exactly what needed to be done. They showed me, and I needed a new bushing.I am leaving town in 2 days (Monday the 31st) and driving 1,500 miles. Mitch and his crew will not be in the office until Wednesday (the 2nd).I had two options.Wait it out and MAYBE get it done for free, but be in the hole $400 because I would be 2 days late to my destination.My other option was to do it myself and risk the warranty.Verdict.I cannot afford to lose 2 days of driving to my destination. Thank you O'Reilly Auto Parts for getting me a new bushing. Thank you to John and Evan for replacing my bushing.I am not sure what North Wells Center did to "new" bushing, but it looks like someone took a "tool" to get the "new" bushing back in place. We used a mallet...

Stumbled upon this shop when a warranty claim made me have the vehicle checked. Loved them so much, we've taken every vehicle since to them. Most recently my Challenger for a new clutch and some front end work. They diagnosed, help us set up financing, ordered parts, and did all the repairs in just a few days! Car is better than when I bought it! Don't think about using their services, do it. You won't regret it!!!Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection

We took our Chevy equinox in for the normal scheduled maintenance services (ie...oil change and coolant flush), and it seems like they get better and better, and I really didn't think that anyone could do that! Was very quick to get me in. Replaced a side view mirror on daughter s car. Fixed within same day of appointment. Super friendly and courteous staff. Repeat customer and again completely satisfied.

It took a bit of time to get my car in but that could also be a sign that people like to go here. They did some troubleshooting on a car and found that it needed a new radiator. It was turned around quickly and correctly. The bill was reasonable. I'll be going to them again but hopefully not soon.

Do not recommend this place. I been thru four power steering pumps in two years. All been replaced by this company. They keep putting the same power steering pump by a manufacturer that is sub par. They didn't quote me a for a OEM part. Just slapped one in and didn't even go over my options. Also made a.mess on my.other vehicle. My sun roof cover has this black sealant goo on the cover. I can't get it off. Been thru two Alernators on the on same vehicle with the pump problem. All they done is cost me time and money. Now they cost me over additional $350.00 to put in a OEM pump that they should of done before. Thank God I have a extended warranty on this vehicle but they have cost my warranty company alot of money on this one issue. And my out of pocket expense as well. They seem to have run a scam on me. Reason I say that is because they said if the power steering pump fails even though they new was a junk part they where going to charge me for the labor and not the part, because they say they aren't at fault even though they know that part has a failure problem.Considering this was going to be the fifth pump they where going to put in. It's sad a company screws over a customer like this. It's not a good practice. I work in similar practice and sometimes when things happen like this if you really value your customer sometimes it's better to eat the cost and do right by the customer. They should have said OK we will put in a OEM pump eat the labor and be done with it. Sadly enough they don't care to try. Sad and pathetic at the sametime. But I found a decent repair shop and even though it's costing me money at least it's taking care of. And it's going to be a OEM.part.

The people at N Wells Service center are all helpful and friendly. They patiently explained what needed to be done and what the cost was, even when I questioned everything. They worked with my insurance to make sure we got the max coverage and made sure I had my car when I needed it. 1st I was quoted a cheaper price for my repair they told me to wait on the repair until I see my gas mileage going down. So I wait on the repair and I come back they say prices went up but they was the one who quoted me and printed me out that price and told me to wait they wouldn t compromise and they are very money hungry. I wasn t going to go through them but they called & told me they got the parts anyway after I canceled my appointment. So I got the repair done. They promised my vehicle to be done that Friday I was without a vehicle until Tuesday afternoon. They said they was going to give me a discount only discounted me $50 for almost having my vehicle for a week. I got my vehicle back 2days later my vehicle still doing the same thing it was previously doing. I spent 2100 in repairs. They want to charge me to look at my truck again. Like I said very money hungry and it s not the 1st time I spent money with them. They didn t even offer me a ride but did it without hesitation to a lady of another skin color. I m very disappointed.

Asked the tech several times the price to pick up after completed. Was told one amount and upon picking up the vehicle the price had increased almost an additional 200$. Spoke with the tech and he tried to act like he told me when in fact he did not. Paid for the car but will NEVER go there again. Do not recommend this company for service.

I have been taking my truck to this wonderful shop for a few months now, and I can tell you they have made me a customer for life. These guys and gals are so nice, and beyond helpful. I shopped around for prices, and they came in at more than $200 lower with some of my repairs. They don't treat you like a customer, they treat you like family. They also won't nickel and dime you, like the other service centers will. They're up front and honest, and won't talk you into getting a service you don't need. I trust them with my truck, and I'll trust them with all my future vehicles.P.S. They have a rewards program, and for every service you pay for, they add a little cash onto your card. I highly recommend this auto shop. My friend who owns a business in Fort Wayne has taken all his work trucks there for the past 8 yrs. He has recommended them multiple times to me and I regret that I didn t listen to him sooner. They may be busy but they will not screw you over for a repair that doesn t need done just to take money out of your pocket.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I am so grateful that my friend told me about these guys! They are amazing. First off all, they are extremely professional and personable. Even the mechanics respectfully greeted me in passing, with a genuine smile and pleasant "Hello."I had my vehicle to two other mechanics, who replaced things I never approved, and still never fixed the problem I was having. I took my car to North Wells Service Center, and to my surprise, they did everything they could to save me money, including setting my appointment around manufacturers rebates. They also fixed ONLY what I asked them to, and when they found the problem, they told me what it was, and how much it would cost to repair it before they touched it!To my pleasant surprise, they diagnosed the problem accurately, and I can finally feel comfortable driving my vehicle again! If you want honest, professional, timely, excellent service, this is the place to go!!!!!! I encourage ALL single women to take your vehicles here for repair. These are guys that will be honest with you!

100% professional and thorough technicians and staff. Had some issues on my 2007 Lucerne that popped up. The techs were able to diagnose the issues quickly even though the error codes were randomly occurring. The service staff was able to locate parts that saved me money, yet met the requirements of safety first! The team was in communication with me as progress was made. Even went the extra mile as a part failed when they were backing the car out of repair bay. Of course the the rallied and gave me quick options and worked with me to provide a discount of that last second failure. North Wells Service Center is the only place I trust for car repairs. I have been utilizing their services for over 25 years and have never been disappointed or unhappy with their service. Mitch and the entire North Wells Service team are awesome. They are friendly, courteous and explain everything very thoroughly in terms that are understandable to us non-mechanical individuals. They will even try to save you money by suggesting things you can do yourself to fix an issue before you bring it in for service. Being a single female, it is comforting knowing I can trust a service center to be honest and not take advantage of a repair situation I am not familiar with.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Brakes, Oil change

My experience with them was great. I have a few more appointments with them, and have every intention of bringing my car back to them. Excellent service. The guys in the shop no exactly what they are doing. It's like a family atmosphere. I would never take my car anywhere but here. Thanks guys for the good work you have done so far. Were very polite. I brought in a car that I had bought and started having problems with it no more than a week after purchasing and the dealer refused to do anything. So I started looking around to get the car checked out and landed on North Wells Service Center. They were able to get my car in the next day, checked it out and called me with what they found wrong with it, and after giving the go ahead they did the repairs and were able to do everything the same day and the estimate was spot on for the final cost. Very impressed with the work done and how quickly they were able to get my car in and get it fixed.

The first time i used them they were great. This last time not so much. There was work that i had asked to be done and they said they did the work, I know I paid for the work. Later I figured out that they didn't do the work. I called them on it and they said they would make it right just bring it in and they would redo the work. (Oil change & Tire rotation) So I made an appointment. Had to cancel that appointment and then reschedule and again they said just bring it in and they would make it right. I just received a call from them saying I had to pay for services to be performed again that I had already paid for. No thank you, do yourself a favor, find another mechanic.Update--- They called and are willing to make it right. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again.
