Based on sheer honesty one must give Morts a 5 star review! Took my 78 year old neighbor there to get a rather expensive repair on a van, rather than do the work and charge him big $$ they visually showed him the rusted out frame and advised him it would be throwing good money after bad! My neighbor was impressed by the knowledge of the staff and the cleanliness of the shop in addition to their honesty!

I can t say enough good things about this business and the employees. I had issues with my Buick Regal GS that needed addressed and ended up here after seeing all of the good reviews and them being suggested by a friend. Initially they thought I was going to need both the fuel injection system and the turbo replaced. Estimated cost around 4000. Melissa was so great at keeping me updated and letting me know what to expect, breakdown of cost etc. After the fuel system and battery was replaced I was informed that the car was actually running well and the turbo seemed to be functioning fine and they advised me not to spend the almost 2800 if I didn t need to. So these guys saved me a lot of money and the car is running great. Honest people that do good work. Wonderful folks. The receptionist is kind, helpful, and friendly as are the mechanics. I have gotten my brakes done here before, but today discovered a siphon tube lodged into my gas tank. Gave them a call and they helped me remove the siphon. I did not get the mechanics name, but I want to make sure these folks get credit for being so amazing.Thank you!

We have used Morts for all of our cars for about 25 years. Fantastic service, very experienced and knowledgeable mechanics. They are honest about any repairs not needed- for example, when your brakes have partial life left and don't need replaced yet. Upfront about what your costs will be for a repair, which are significantly less than a dealership, but I trust their skills a lot more! I have done business with Motts (Paul) for many years and have found them to be very competent and fairly priced. My best experience Is that I ve never had to take a vehicle back a second time because the problem was not corrected the first time. I wish I would ve known about this place sooner. I waited on their table Saturday, just casually talking about my poor explorer, and they got me in today to look over it. Everywhere else trying to charge me $80-$85 to check transmission fluid because it s a process , he not only checked it for free and got me in and out in 10 minutes, he checked a few other things for no charge. I very highly doubt I will ever go anywhere else. They really made an impression, and I am so thankful I crossed their path.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place has taken care of three of our cars. Very trustworthy. One example is that when I brought it in to change fluids, he tested them and only changed the ones that needed it. Quick turnaround too. Longest wait was three days due to waiting for the part to come in from the dealer.

My family and I had traveled to Fort Wayne for Christmas and our diesel van wouldn't start on the Wed. after Christmas (when we needed to return). I called 10 auto shops and none of them said they could see it until after New Years except Mort's who said they could check it out on Friday. I brought it in Thursday morning around 9:30. I got a very good impression when I met the people there. I had told them that I had diagnosed my problem and I needed a new lift pump from the fuel tank. I was going to rent a vehicle to bring my family back to Lafayette and come back the next day (or later) when it was fixed. But they checked everything, found I had a different problem, and fixed it for me by 2:30 that same day. They could have told me anything and as long as it was running I was ready to pay, but they only charged me $80 for diagnostic and labor as they had to reassemble my air inlet. I highly recommend this business.

They've always been able to fix what's wrong with my car in a timely manner. Although they're small, they have much better prices than some of the bigger repair shops out there and with just as good if not better quality work. Definitely impressed with Mort's. Thank you for providing great service!!!

Best place to have work done these people can be trusted. They have took care of my truck for years. Absolutely disgusted with how my family was treated. Refused to offer us service and repeatedly told us to go back to our own country and proceeded to spit on our vehicle. Disgraceful. Then proceeded to tell me that I don t know anything because a woman s place is in the kitchen and proceeded to laugh in my face. Will never be going back there again.

The guys at Mort's are trustworthy and talented. Been going there for years, and they have never taken advantage of me. They tell me what's wrong, how much it will cost, and do the work needed.

Paul is awesome. There usually seems to be a back log. But Morts is the place. Cheaper than many area garages and always better work.
