I ve taken my family and company vehicles to McMahon s Best One locations for over 10 years. This visit was like all of mine over the years, let me explain. At the end of the visit they inform you of any service issues or car needs that will need to be addressed. Well this particular visit, I was informed that my 2011 Mercedes had major subframe rust and I should have it addressed asap. Well I took the car to Mercedes and they confirmed the news and thanked me for bringing it in. Mercedes fixed this issue at no cost (4500.00 fix not including labor). But the moral of the story is if the great folks at McMahon would not have found this issue this car could have caused a major accident. This is why I go to McMahons because they just don t fix cars they serve people and save lives! Thank you Colin, Emmett, Matt and team at 5319 Illinois Road Fort Wayne.

Everyone was very professional as my truck was being serviced. I was informed as it was taken back to be serviced and if there was any other concerns they came across. I was informed on the cost and time frame before I scheduled the appointment. My service was done in a timely manner and I was very satisfied with my service and professional courteous during my visit.

I discussed with the staff before bringing my car in that I had purchased a tow package and would like them to install it. I would also like a tire rotation and oil change. They said they would take a look at the tow kit and see if they could. I dropped my car off at 10 am, as discussed. They called me and said they would be able to put the tow package on. And It would be around $160 for the labor. I said yes, even though that seemed steep considering my tow was fit for my suv in particular. I went back to the shop an hour and a half later. They had not started the installation yet because they couldn't get my tires off. Due to a threaded bolt. So I did not get my tires rotated. He then said they would start on the install. An hour and a half later the guy came out and said they haven't installed the wiring for the tow yet because they have to go behind the seats of the car?, and it would be another $120. I told them not to bother because at this point I had no confidence In there ability to install anything else. I got my car back. I paid $260 for an oil change and for them to half install my tow.When I got my car back they did not give me my wires back so I looked in the trunk of my car thinking they left them where the wires should be hooked up for the tow.I saw at that point the tow connector cable that was very easily found. I went back into ask for the cables. And showed the front desk guy how to easily connect the tow wiring. And that there is nothing behind my car seats. And that it was ridiculous that they were going to charge me another $120 for a grounding screw and to simply plug In a cable. He said "sorry about that"I will not be back. I try to not feel taken advantage of when I got to car shops because I don't want to be that woman complaining about that kind of thing. But this was the worst I have ever felt at a shop yet.

I had my engine cooler replaced at this auto shop. Two weeks later I saw that the level was very low just like it was before the replacement. I went back to the shop to have them check and top off the coolant, but they said they had to do a leak test and pay $76.00, but there is no leak in my car, they just didn't top it off right away and I didn't check it right away. Check everything immediately after the service or better go to another shop

My experience with McMahons has been nothing but great customer service support. Colin the service representative has been honest and up front with all the work needed for my vehicle. Very pleasant person. The technician that provided the service on my vehicle also did a great job. We've been using the Illinois Rd location for about 2 years, and they have saved the day for us on more than 1 occassion. They are always friendly, always timely with our appointments, and they don't treat me with any less respect than they treat my husband (ladies, if you know, you know!). I've never been surprised with a crazy bill, they've never tried upcharging me or recommending something additional I didn't really need. Bear with me, as my car knowledge is questionable at best. Once, 2 days before vacation, I went to put my car in drive, and it just got stuck in neutral. We called McMahon, they said have the car towed there and they'd make it a priority. They scrambled to get the part, pulled all kinds of strings to have it shipped asap, and kept us posted every step of the way. They ended up getting the part to get it finished at 730 am the day we were leaving, we rushed in so thankful to have it and they said they hadn't finished dealing with the warranty company but they'd call us when they were finished with the total amount we owed so we could just head home and get on the road for our trip. Tell me the last time you had customer service like that at a mechanic? Just yesterday, I went in for a slow leak in 1 tire, and asked them to check all the tires to see if we were ready for new yet. They patched my tire and told me I was good to go, I had a good amount of life left on my tires all within 25 minutes of my appt time (the appt I made the day before, and close to a holiday no less!). I always expect to be upsold or jerked around a bit, but never once has it happened to me at McMahon. They repsect everyone who comes in, the staff have treated us like family more than once, and my family will likely never use another place!

McMahon s has saved the day for me twice this week alone! I interacted with 4 different employees (phone annd in person) and all of them were unfailingly friendly, helpful, and competent. I would normally rate my experience higher but there were a few issues. The online appointment request I put in the week prior to my actual visit was ignored even though I received the acknowledgement email. Also, for both appointments I requested an oil change and new tire installation. It wasn t until after I had left that I realized they forgot to do the oil change. The store front is clean and the employees were helpful and the new tires look great. I only regret that now I have to find time in my schedule, again, to get the oil changed.Service: Tires

McMahon is always great. I ve been to all of their locations in Fort Wayne and everyone is always kind, helpful, and straightforward. I was in for new tires and an oil change this week and the guys I spoke with treated me with respect and a willingness to help. I hit a pothole and had a flat tire. Used AAA for roadside assistance but due to a problem with flared lug nuts on the wheels that made removing the flat impossible, they were unable to assist. AAA towed my vehicle to Best One Tire on Illinois Rd.My tire was not available in stock but the gentleman that wrote up the order assured me he could have one in by 3 pm.The lug nuts needed replacing on all wheels and those were in stock, so the service tech suggested that I wait while they installed the donut spare and the new lug nuts and then come back at 3 for the new tire (which was covered by our road hazard insurance) to be installed.I returned at 3 and waited only about 20-30 minutes for new tire mounted and balanced.Service was amazing, I m so thankful for the road hazard insurance and the tech was a true angel!I will be sharing this experience with all my friends as well as writing this review! Great job putting brake caliper covers on my Escalade, look amazing. Appointment time right on, friendly, and half the cost quoted to me by other tire shops. Ordering covers for my Bronco and will call them again. And If I need tires, etc., they will be my first call.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Very honest and very caring people I feel like I can trust them and they gave me an excellent referral for my transmission issues that I'm having I look forward to going back and getting more help with my engine light. I really believe, these people can be trusted with your vehicle concerns! If they can't help you, they have a wonderful list of people can refer to! Needed brake pads for my son's college car. We live out of town and had no way of getting him to school and work. Joe was so helpful to me! I pulled into work Friday with a flat tire right before the weekend and a long Memorial weekend at that! Joe helped find me a new tire, and installed in less than three hours later! I was able to work, and have a new tire before the weekend started! I ll be forever thankful! The least stress I ve ever had getting a tire fixed! Thank you so much!

They were very professional and timely. I got an oil change and tire rotation. What I really like was I needed an air filter and they didn't just tell me I needed an air filter, they brought it out and showed me that I needed a new air filter. I thought it was a nice touch and the price was right. I would definitely recommend them and I know I'll be back.Service: Auto maintenance

I used McMahon s Best One for their tire repair service. Clearly I was thrilled they were able to fix the leak! It saved me having to immediately buy 2 new tires. I ve always heard when you replace one you should replace the opposite. The technician didn t even put a hard sell move on me! I respect that so much that I ll keep an eye on their sales and go back for all four.

I left a positive review 2 months ago, since I come to this location for all my work on my car. This time around, the services I had done were misleading.So my engine was shaking/misfiring mid July, and they did an engine eval and replaced some parts. Specifically, replaced a valve cover gasket.Two weeks later my car engine is shaking again and I call and schedule an appt for Friday morning, drop my car off the day before. They don t get to my car until 11ish, then call and tell me I need to pay for another part, a PVC valve. It feels like this was something that should have been caught the previous visit which I paid 844 for in total. They inform me that the PVC valve was not blown last time but now needs replacing. So two weeks later I have another part blown. So they only charge me for the part but made it sound like this is something that just happened, when really they should have replaced the valve cover as a whole. The notes from my service receipt today say there is no way to only replace the valve but only the valve cover as a whole The whole valve cover comes with the gasket so we also credited the gasket put on 7/18 So if there s no way to only replace the valve but the valve cover as a whole, how was it the PVC Valve couldn t have been replaced last visit.So I paid another 140 for a part, and they didn t charge me labor as a way to appease me when really i already paid for the labor last visit, they just didnt want to admit something was overlooked and made it sound like I wasn t understanding what happened.

Was traveling from out of town had an emergency got a nail in my tire. Spoke to your service representative Juan Carrillo who analyzed the situation andTook care of me quickly. Tire was repaired in less than an hour. Incredible customer service highly recommend this place. Went to Belle Tire and Discount Tire they were too busy and didn t offer much help.

One of the best places I've been too. They always work with you. & Are beyond friendly. It usually takes them about 20-2hrs depending on what needs to be done, but it's pretty fast! I originally purchased my tires in August 2021. I recently stopped in with a tire that had a slow leak, I did not have an appointment, and within 15 minutes the problem was fixed and covered under my extended warranty. Very fast and friendly service.
