Don t recommend they took my money knowing my head gasket was blew payed 450+ dollars only for him to make the problem worse jones is a dirty mechanic gave me the run around for weeks after i paid him like he was going to fix my car & didnt , very unprofessional he never gettin no money out of me ever again its no way you been a mechanic for 35+ years that you didnt see i needed a head gasket aint nothin top notch about dat!!! Any real mechanic will tell you

I'll just share my story/experience as honestly as possible. Called and specifically asked if they could tow my vehicle from my home for the sole purpose of fixing it (it wouldn't start). They agreed to this and came promptly, as I lived 10 minutes away. I was charged $70 for the tow fee and another $25 for the diagnostic.A day later, I talked to them and was told that my computer (the ECM) had to be replaced because it wasn't sending a signal to start my vehicle and the estimated value would be $1,200 (which I wasted time investigating parts, labor, and mechanics for nothing) and that they could not fix it.Luckily, I found a mechanic business literally 3 minutes away. I asked Jones Auto to tow me there, which was another $55.After getting a diagnostic from the mechanic business, they informed me that Jone Auto's diagnostic was wrong (it was not a faulty ECM); actually, a bolt in the crank shaft was broken. I ended up spending another $500 to diagnose and fix this.So bsically, I spent $150 with Jone Auto & Repair. I think that the responsible thing that they should have done was just tow it directly to the mechanic business (for free!) or not have charged me an extra $55 just tow my vehicle 3 minutes away (this literally took about 10 minutes).When paying for Jones Auto's services, they proudly told me that they were giving me a $15 discount off the 2nd tow fee. $150 instead of $165.I'd have been more generous with this review if the 2nd tow (3 minutes away) was free, even despite the diagnosis (that I paid for) being wrong.The replaced bolt and receipt in the photo below.

Great experience! I was going to purchase a used truck from a large dealer and thought there were mechanical issues after my test drive. I really wanted the truck. I contacted Jones Auto (after calling around looking for a shop to do an inspection for over an hour) and they quickly got me in to inspect the truck. They explained to me the pros and cons and provided valuable education. Great people! If I lived closer, I would certainly look to have them maintain my fleet.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

New in town and my car would not start. Randomly called Jones and I am glad I did. Trent was polite and efficient. Towed my car, found the problem, and replaced the battery. Good communication. I had a flat tire in Fort Wayne on a Friday afternoon. Problem is I live in Plymouth. I called several places to see if they would change my tire to my doughnut so I could get to a tire shop. No one would do this, all wanted to tow it. I then called Jones Automotive and Towing to have it towed and he said give me 45 minutes and I ll come change your tire so you can get to the tire store. He arrived as promised and changed the tire for a more than fair price! I would call Jones Automotive and Towing again if the need arises again in the future. He is reputable and fair! Front and back brakes. My son lives in the area local. I wanted to pay for the back brakes as a gift and a surprise to him. I was able to pay for the back brakes from Michigan I ve the phone and know that this place was trustworthy. Being able to know and feel that you can trust someplace over the phone to give your credit card is a rare thing. Rates are fair, service is dependable, fast, reliable, and customer service is better than the chain auto repair stores. Jones auto repair is a Jem! If i could rate 10/10 rating I would. Their service was fast. They towed my vehicle and fixed it up same day.It cost me less than $90 and they were friendly.I would definitely recommend their Towing service.If they had towed my car with a bed truck, I would have given a 5 star

This is my first Google review ever but I have to give a big thank you to Jones Auto. This past Saturday afternoon my car had a radiator hose pop off and was unable to be driven after parking at the Coliseum for the circus. I was looking for a tow truck and saw that Jones Auto does towing and repair and gave them a call and I am very glad that I did! My car was towed out of the Coliseum parking lot within 15 minutes and they then repaired the hose and refilled the antifreeze that afternoon. If I would have had it towed to another garage, it would have been at the earliest Monday that I would have gotten my car back and probably would have cost a lot more as well. I really can't thank them enough for getting my car back to me that same day on a Saturday afternoon and at a great price!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Car towing

My family has used Jones Towing and Auto Repair for the last couple of years. The price of towing your car is the best price in Allen County.As far as auto repair, they are honest and good. When he fixes your car you know it's done right. I can say that we will always use Jones Auto and Towing. Give Jones a try, I am glad I did.

WORST Place!! My daughter got her vehicle towed here by them in Feb when it died at McDonald's by the mall. We call 'after' they towed it & say THEN that it needs a computer diagnostic which they don't have a computer!? We 'specifically asked,' mentioned this to them "before" the Towing & they said 'nothing' other then they'll get it & tell us what it needs?? We had to "pay them" 2x for towing!! (Great way to make Free extra money) I showed up there to see her 'undrivable' vehicle sitting "outside" by the office!? I waited about 40 min for them to show up & get her car on the Tow vehicle. "I followed" this "fast flying" tow truck as he bobbed & weaved thru traffic, with little concern for her car or the people around us up to Hyundai & dropped it off!!

Had them look at my Jeep Wrangler. They replaced brakes, rotors and thermostat. The wrong brakes were placed on and the thermostat was never placed in the Jeep. Everything was a lie. It instantly started over heating, he said to take it to the gas station and come back. He left before we returned within 5 minutes and left me with smoke coming up from the hood. So I had to tow the vehicle after paying them over $700. A mile into the tow the brakes had to be removed since they kept seize up and were the wrong ones. Do not recommend this shady business. Jones towing company. I wouldn t say auto repair at all. Paid them to repair my coolant line just to have the same problem in 3 weeks. If you looking for towing would recommend but auto repair hell no .. just pay the ticket somewhere else to actually get it fixed

Trent fixed my radiator and threw in the thermostat for free. Tow was $85, radiator $540. Drove less than 2 miles and temp gauge went to hot. Called right away, was told I could bring car back next morning. They would not let me leave my car and told me I needed full engine flush. WilCar stopped in traffic with my 2 grandkids in 20 degree weather. Trent told me he would be there in half an hour, never came or answered anymore of my calls. For the amount of money I paid, I deserved better.. trash!!!Services: Engine repair, Car towing

I needed my car towed and called six different places to get a time estimate. Each place told me it was going to be anywhere from 1 to 3 hours for the tow. I called Jones auto and he said he would be there within 30 minutes, his price was very reasonable, he gave me a good idea of what was going on with my vehicle, and he was so kind!

They are extremely kind and caring. Quick on repairs and one of the few places I have been not out to rip you off. They reminded me so much of the auto shop in my old childhood neighborhood. The people kind and actually like what they do. They aren't big business lets 'diagnois you car $100 dollars 5x before finding the problem'.They find your problem fix it and boom a bill that isnt out to put you and your childrens children in debt. I know I will be going back for sure and I will recommend them to anyone who really wants to actually get their car repaired right.Services: Car towing, Battery

I was locked out of my car while it was running and I contacted Jones auto. The mechanic came in A timely manner, and was able to open my car. The price was very reasonable compared to other locksmiths. Very satisfied with the services performed.

Towing cost is competitive or better than some. Repairs are done quickly. They could have charged much more but didn't. They charged a honest price. Ethical shop.

They weren t very punctual about towing my car from my house. They were like an hour later than they said they d be there. And then they didn t get back to me when the car was done, I was waiting for a call all day, so I just ended up calling them to see if it was done. And it was done. I could ve got my friend to drive me over to get it earlier that day, but instead I had to do it the next day because it was close to closing time.They did put a new radiator in and so far it hasn t caused me any problems, so I can at least give them that.The place looked really messy and wreaked of smoke when I came in. I found it odd that they had a sign that said masks required when none of them wore masks. I guess I don t blame them though for not wearing masks in there. I can t imagine anyone being able to breathe well in there with the strong smoke smell and then having a mask on top of that. I had to use my inhaler after coming out of there.

Needed to take my explorer in serpentine belt broke a family member introduced me to Terence. He he's very professional, and a man of few words he'll tell you what it is and that's it. Which I like, he wasn't trying to BS me or charge me extra money. Truck runs like a dream Terrence had it repaired within 24 hours. Definitely will go back I even took my second car to him. He is the truth and I appreciate it every bit of it,

Thank you so much to Jones Auto Repair and Towing! On my way to work on Thursday, March 14, 2019, I was at a stop light when my car began to overheat. I quickly turned the car off and sat trying to figure out what to do. I looked to the left and there was Jones Auto! After my car had a chance to cool down a little I drove into their parking lot. The shop wasn t open yet so I just left my car there and went to work. I called the shop and explained the situation. Trent said that he would look at it that day. After lunch he called to say that he found the issue and could have it repaired by the end of the day, even more impressive the fee was very reasonable and he was very kind. Thank you Jones Auto Repair!
