I went hear for years. When the son in law took over it went downhill. They said all of my entire brakes needed replaced. 2000 dollars. I'm a single mother... but nevertheless I need my car, and I did the brakes. I got my car back, and the brakes make this sound like it is groaning when I brake. I went in, and I asked the head mechanic, the guy with the teeth, why my brakes are making noise. He said they don't make good parts anymore. He said for some reason on all of these vans that's how the part is. He assured me this part worked. This was a year ago. I left. After another of driving around my anger is building. I call back to ask why everyone has quiet brakes but me? The sweaty skinny dude who owns the place picks up the phone and brusque tells me they have gone out of business and hangs up on me.I opened my email today and see they have reopened. They sent me coupons for a brake job! Since then I have heard they loved, liquodated, and reopened under the wifes name. BEWARE!

I got an appt very quickly. The same staff was courteous, friendly, customer oriented, fair prices and prompt with completion of service. This was the best overall service I've received in years. I'm totally confident with this establishment. The owners made me feel comfortable and like I personally knew them. Highly recommend.

They stole my valve stem caps and didn t instal my throttle body right so the truck was back in the shop within two weeks of repair.

I went in with a coupon for my breaks (139.99 plus tax) & after dropping off my car JOHN calls stating I needed roters front and back as well and the total was around $800 now. Politely told him we would go somewhere else & he tried to charge me a check out fee For not getting the work done there. I took my car to Chips auto repair in new haven & he calls and says I don t even need back end breaks or roters & my total was 340$ with an oil change!!!!!! Never go to this miserable crook

Hometown has been working on our vehicles for many years and have always provided excellent service. We have never had to return because the work wasn't done right the first time. I have recommended them to many friends and family.

We've been restoring my younger brothers truck for a while since he passed away. Obviously theirs things i do not have the tools or the know how to do. We took the truck to get the front end rebuilt and they did an amazing job. Always reccomend going there.

Great service. Though it was too costly to fix my vehicle they went above and beyond to get the cost down. They offered to sell me a vehicle and take my broken vehicle for higher value trade than it was worth. We ended selling it to them for scrap pricing. Great people and will be returning to them in the future for sales and repairs.
