Called to have my car checked out. Let them know I planned to travel within 2 days. Due to my need to get the car taken care of on such short notice they told me I could drop my car off and they would get to it when they got a chance but 90% sure they could get it done that day. They did! Took my car in to have a wheel bearing changed as I thought this was where the noise I kept hearing was coming from. They checked my car out and was very honest with me letting me know it was just the tires. The fact that they were honest with me and didn't have me pay for work that didn't need to be done tells me everything about this place. I highly recommend. Also, this shop is VERY clean for a mechanics shop. Definitely A-1!

Very informative, very cost-effective, gave me a friend out of things that needed done and the cost which was very reasonable. Shuttled me to my appointment while they were working on my vehicle awesome! Just very friendly service also!

We needed to find a mechanic while we were in town for a few days. It is not always easy to fine someone who you can trust not to overcharge or find a million things that you need to "fix" on your car. I think we got really lucky with these guys! They were super friendly and didn't try to talk me into anything other than what they were asked to look at.

Oh! I had a wonderful experience with A-1 Automotive. Bill called and kept me up to date on services provided, and the staff was just friendly. I will definitely be taking my car to them for now on.

Absolute scam artists Bill from the fort Wayne location took in my jeep and told me he replaced the entire coolant system for me which was what hmwas needed then he texted me 3 more times after fixing it and charging me over 500 dollars for barely doing anything to my jeep talking about well it's going to be another 2500 dollars for me to fix it i think there is something internal wrong with it lol well you just took me for 500 working on something completely different. Why didn't you disect the issue 1st and foremost before hand of doing a complete coolant system rebuild and charging me for it when you could've skipped that whole process and not cost me 500 dollars for something that didn't even fix what was wrong with the dang jeep. My jeep is a old beater with a heater and he is trying to pull a 3k job on it at 219000 miles lol i absolutely will NOT RECOMMEND A1 AUTOMOTIVE REAPAIR FORT WAYME TO ANYONE . THE GUYS A CROOK HE DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR FINANCES AND IS A TERRORIST TO THE WORLD OF REAL HARD WORKING KNOWLEDGEABLE MECHANICS

Great customer services, they have excellent repair prices. Fixed my vehicle that no one else could figure out the electrical problem. Would definitely recommend.

Brought both my vehicle and my spouse's vehicle in for normal maintenance work. The communication was amazing. The problems that needed fixed were fixed and fixed in a timely manner. Staff was informative and friendly. They were priced reasonably. The waiting room is clean and has a tv, vending machines and a clean bathroom. I will definitely go back.

These people give very biased car inspections while doing business with other companies, these people have given very negatively biased reports with our vehicles and other business and other people do not recommend bringing their vehicles there. They seem to not validate the things that are good about said vehicles and emphasize the bad things about them or the things that need minor attention.

Excellent customer service!! I won t take my truck anywhere else! They replaced my water pump and then I found out I also had a bad sensor- which he also replaced for me! My work truck broke down literally in their parking lot. Went inside and they were incredibly nice. Although they were too busy to actually do the work they gave me a ride to my destination and took a quick look at my truck. Super nice and friendly. I looked at some of the old cars they were working on and it looked like beautiful work. If I was having an old car rebuilt I would bring it here in a heart beat.

I believe they have good, honest service. I have came to them multiple time this year for my Cadillac CTS and they have always taken care of me. I trust their work and their word. Very friendly group of guys that take the time to explain everything to you. I was recommended to them by someone who has brought his cars to them for over 15 years. I have price checked them against the competition and they come out on top every time. They will give you a courtesy ride, which is very helpful, and once when I dropped my car off to them for an extended period, they drove me all the way home to North Manchester! I definitely recommend A1 Automotive to the people of Fort Wayne.Thank you, guys, for always taking care of me.

Might seem like common knowledge, but I highly recommend getting a quote for anything and everything before trusting them with your vehicle or business. I was charged $80.00 just for them to tell me what was wrong. Diagnostics elsewhere are not nearly as costly. I went to this place because I was newer in town and now sincerely regret it. There are plenty of other businesses that will treat you respectfully and want to help. I never leave reviews but considered this experience worth it to warn those wanting to find somewhere in Fort Wayne for the first timeService: Auto engine diagnostic

I told them. I know I need breaks and tires. My issue was the steering and suspension. The charged me 121.00 and had my call 4 hours. Then told me to get breaks and tires. I already knew that. So why not fix my rack and pinion tires still roll. Breaks don't squeak. Still good. I need new ones soon. No thank you! I want my money back. Charged me 121.00 for a visual inspection. I've used A-1 Automotive in the past (20+ years ago) and they've always done me right!!! I just recently took my 98 Mustang GT in for a drivability issues and a CEL. They diagnosed it the same day and took care of a few other issues that were unknown at the time. I even had them do a full tune-up the next morning as they wanted to keep the car over night to verify the issue was fixed. They had everything completed and repaired just as I had hoped and had the pricing of the repairs down to a minimum that was affordable. As to mention....Justin went above and beyond and removed the trailer hitch off the car for FREE!!! They also picked me up in a timely manner to get my vehicle back. I'm very happy and pleased with A-1 and know that you will be too. Don't hesitate to call and get your vehicle repaired at one of the BEST shops in town....just can't beat the service and quality of work they perform. I had a power steering fluid leak. Turns out my serpentine belt had cut my return line. I work long hours at my job. I arrived couple hours before they closed. The did a diagnostic that afternoon and then fixed it the next day. My 2017Altima also needed an oil change and they took care of that too. Got it all done less than 350. I will definitely be using these guys again. Very knowledgeable and up front.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I recently took my vehicle in for braking issues and had a great experience. They were able to work me into their busy schedule, found the issue quickly and worked with the suppliers to help with a warranty claim which saved me over $200. Thanks to the entire A1 team for making this happen!

I've taken my Saturn to the guys at A-1 a couple of times now. They're very knowledgeable and good at what they do. Every time I took my car in, they had it repaired and ready to go the same day and their quotes are a little higher than what you pay ($5 - $20), but I'm not complaining there. They're good at keeping you in the loop when diagnosing any problems and also suggesting how to proceed. This is a great business that will treat you fairly at a good price; I highly recommend going here.

I brought my twelve year old vehicle in for evaluation of an engine problem that began while I was driving to Fort Wayne from Texas. Bill was outstanding in explaining what the mechanic found during a system diagnostic test. It was a simple fix and less than a day turn around to service my vehicle. I am overwhelmingly pleased with the way I way treated and the regard given to me and my vehicle.

AVOID! Charged $266 to replace a $20 gas feeder line coming from the engine. Which is easy to get to. Right in front of you when you open the hood. They decided it was ok to charge $130 for the rubber feed line. ($20 part) Then charge $120 for labor. (15 minute job) Charged me for an hour @ $120. Yes, you read that right. $120 an hour for labor! Acted like he was doing me a favor for not charging a diagnostic fee which was not done since i showed him exactly what the problem was. Ridiculous!

Incredibly honest, fairly priced mechanics. They always, always do beyond excellent work for my vehicle, and it's always done reasonably quickly at close to or less than the estimate they gave. These are the kind of guys that a true optimist would think of when the word "mechanic" is mentioned. They know what they're doing and then a lot more - incredibly knowledgeable, great group of people to have work on your car. The kind of shop that will always do things right the first time, and then a little bit better. I can't stress enough how much trust I'm willing to place in only this place - I don't write reviews often.
