After calling and locating an available used engine for my 2018 Hyundai Sante Fe, I called back to possibly purchase, the OWNER asked who was going to swap engines. After telling him a technician two hours away from them (where I live) quoted doing job for me, owner offered to do the job at same price. He then reminded me that the 30 day warranty would be on part AND labor if they did the work.Since I m 2 hrs away, this sounded like the wise thing to do. They required my credit card # so they could put in there labor line that would be 2 weeks. I did so and offered to bring car to them in a few days so they could readily begin when my turn came. They preferred my waiting till they called me since their parking was very limited. After keeping in touch with them as 2 weeks approached , they informed me that they didn t even have there car to remove engine from. Then, after fourth week was approaching, they called saying it was removed and ready to pick up. I then asked when I could bring car to them. They were surprised about having to swap engines.I then got a call back saying that they didn t have anyone there qualified to do so. Luckily for me local tech would still consider doing the job.I then traveled 4 hours(2 each way) to get engine. My local shop proceeded unloading engine on my arrival and noticed oil pan was damaged, not fresh, probably from car accident that it came from. I took and attached picture. They received my approval to use to good pan from engine being removed. (For additional labor cost)Approaching completion to finish job, my tech notified me that there were some hook up differences between engines. He then reviewed serial number from replacement engine. It came from a KIA , same type engine but i was not informed of this before buying or at time of purchase. This caused me more labor expenses. Before driving 4 more hours returning with engine core that i was initially charged for I called to report damage to oil pan ( part of the purchased engine) I was to by OWNER that no labor reimbursement was be considered.Bottom line .this was one of the worse purchasing practices I have ever experienced!

The absolute worst junk yard that I have ever used. Bought a used engine and was told that the engine had a broken oil pan. Sent a driver up there to get engine. When it was brought to the shop the bottom end of the engine was also broke. Called to get a refund or exchange was told they didn't have another engine and i could bring it back for a 20% restock fee. Very dishonest people and don't stand behind there products. DONT BUY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my friend order a window for my car on the first of September and Darren took her call, he took her card number over the phone and she told him that are wanted to go ahead and pay for the window! Well needless to say that he didn't run her card number to pay for the part, so I had to pay for the window and it took all the cash that I had in my pocket which really sucks!

Price on yard is $2 but they never know anything about what's on the yard and people have just destroyed stuff for no reason. Walking around just smashing parts that someone may need.

Ladies please be careful when going to this place alone. They wanted to charge me 100 dollars for a used tire. Next day sent my husband inside w/o me and they sold it to him for 30 dollars. The tire wasn't even worth 30 dollars, but I needed it to move a car. Bad people that give Bad business.. stay away ladies!!!

I wouldn t even give this company one star if I was able to. I specifically called for I need both exhaust manifolds for a 2014 Hyundai Velositer. The owner told me $150/each. I asked how much for shipping -the owner stated $40. They sent me a credit card form for verification on payment, description, and shipping. Since apparently there is only one exhaust manifold for this car instead of calling me and telling me there is only one - THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY ADDS $150 CORE CHARGE TO MY BILL TO KEEP THAT MONEY! As a business owner I would never do this- I am perplexed by the audacity this business owner decides to run his business by being a thief. I will NEVER do business with them again.

Bought a very dependable car from them almost a year ago. One more payment and I get the title. Only thing that I had to get done during the year we payed on it was oil changes and 2 front tires. They charged us 3100 I believe and I could sell it for 3000 no problem. They will be getting more business from me soon!

Called twice to verify they had part. Drove hours and told me I was at the wrong location. Went to other location and they told me they could sell me another part, but the part at the original that I verified was damaged. I politely asked why they didn't call and let me know before the drive. The answer I got was, you didn't talk to me. I called the original place got the run around never a apology, more of a its your fault. Asked for the owner to call back, never a return call.Unreal

Commited to buying an engine they had listed for sale on their website for 4500$ Engine was not yet removed from car but was considered running hence listed for sale. Waited three weeks until they started to pull the engine only to tell me that they found out it had a dead cylinder. This inspection should have been done prior to listing the engine for sale for 4500$ Now I'm out three weeks of time and have to hunt for another one somewhere else. This ls2 is hard to find. Poor business practice and my time wasted was not cheap....

Why does the guy answering the phone have to raise his voice and get obviously angry with me when I just want a price?Him: "without an engine I can only give you the labor costs"Me: "yeah, that's fine, just the labor"Him: long pauseMe: finally "so can you tell me just a rough price"Him: " LIKE I SAID WITHOUT AN ENGINE I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU THE LABOR COSTS"Me: somber voice "yes that's fine just the labor"Him: "1200 dollars"HEY GLISSONS! Can you guess where IM NOT going to get an engine installed at?Three guesses and a hint is the company begins with a "G" and ends with an "S"._______Several years later Driving to Evansville today to get some parts from a salvage yard. guess who I did not even call to see who had parts? Begins with a G and ends with an S.I will never forget how rudely I was talked to.

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I called and asked Calvin ( who has been there a year) what time they close as I'm coming from 2 hrs away to pick up a motor and he said five. So I drive all the way up there to be told loading is closed at 430 and there is no way I can get loaded anymore until Monday! Needles to say I won't be doing business with them or recommending this place to anyone.

I have been going to Glissons for over 18 years and have never had a bad experience. I recently went looking for 2 tires. They told me they didn't have a matching pair in their system for my size but lead myself and the Mrs. to the singles and said we had as long as we needed to look through what they did have. 20 minutes later, Bang! I found 2 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. One had 7.5mm and the other 8mm of tread depth. Brand new they would have had 10mm and cost $188 ea. I got them for$20 each! Even after mounting and balancing I saved $420 over buying that same tire brand new!

Very shady business. Ordered a motor to fit my suv. They gave me the wrong motor ten days later and then charged me a $200 restock fee on a motor I never even accepted. It never left their lot. Very shady business. Salesman was very rude. Wouldn t recommend them at all. They ll take your money and give bad parts.

About one hour out I call to give notice that i will be there shortly to pick it up to hopefully speed up the process. Rude, no clue as to me coming nor did they have a good headliner. I called yesterday For a tail light assembly (took me 1 screw & 2 min to pull mine out) was told it would be pulled & u could pick up next day ..today i go there ..its not pulled they wanted me to wait for 9 other parts to be pulled from other cars before they could have time to unscrew 1 screw & make a quick $70 I offered to pay extra for them to let me pull it or quickly pull it 4 me as i was late 4 inspection on my car they all had attitudes & refused me service ..why should i have to wait wen I called yesterday & what dumb business owner wouldn't make a quick $100 to take 2 min to unscrew 1 screw ...then was told my tail light wouldn't put them out of business.. I promise to spread the work on social media so people can go anywhere but here!!

Sold my teenage daughter a bad battery and when she got a jump to go get them to replace, they wouldnt help her take battery out. She had to drive next door to auto zone, get a tool to get out and then walk battery to them. They them offered to carry it out for her but when she said she was next door since they didnt help her, they said nevermind and had her carry it back. Very rude since she wouldnt have been back if hadnt sold her bad parts to begin with. Office full of men and not one could hell her. Such a shame

Bad customer service! And Rude... I called and inquired a price on a 02 BMW transmission. I shopped around to see who got better pricing so I decided to go ahead and buy from Glissons since they had better customer reviews. So I called back and asked them if the price was with core or without it. They said the core was $75dlls. Okay thats fine. Then I asked: so what's the total? (I totally forgot the price, wasn't sure if it was $400 or $500. Then the guy told me: we already gave you the price!! just add $75dlls. I asked politely again for the price since I wasn't sure; the guy replied the same: we already gave you the price just add $75... Then he hung up on me... If they can't treat you right on the phone don't expect much in person.

I had a very good experience at Grissom after having a Terrible Experience at another salvage place in Evansville. Grissoms owner was very nice, helpful and so were his employees. Had the wheel I needed and cheaper too! I ll remember this.

I have dealt with glissions for over 20 years and never have I been more displeased with a business than this coustmer of mine bought a rear end from them that had broken bolts where the drive shaft mounts and hence can't mount the driveshaft.called to explain and try to get them to take care of it. They tell me to drill and tap the broken bolts. I offered to take them the truck so they could fix a part they sold and I was cussed out by the salesman and he hung up on me. When I call back and speak with the manger he tells me he is not getting involved. Upon further inspection of the rear-end they sold one not. Only with itbroken bolts in it but all so gears inside were trashed and the rear end wouldn't even spin. So to all who buy used parts you may want to skip this salvage
