Elmer's was recommended to us year's ago by a friend and we have found them to be phenomenal! They are the most caring, considerate people we have ever met. Through no fault of ours, we have had two cars that ended up being totaled in 6 weeks time. Greg worked tirelessly on getting the estimate to our insurance company, even though when a car is totaled, the body shop is not reimbursed for their time and efforts they've put in. He kept up apprised of what was going on. Wes, the owner of the shop drove us home after our second accident, because Enterprise had no car to give us until the next day. Betsy, in the office, was so caring and helpful. They are just absolutely the best. In previously years, we have had some repairs done on other cars and the work was excellent and the price very reasonable. We cannot praise them enough!!

Worst body shop known around the Elkhart area! Take it to Elmer s to have your car be worked on by middle school drop outs where it took them two weeks! To replace a door! ALONG WITH touching other places on the vehicle and trying to rob my pockets! My 9 year old knows how to do better work than y all

We were in an accident and our car was totaled. I had used Elmers about 35 years ago, so I called them. I specifically worked with Wes. I could not have been any happier. He was on the phone with me several times, walking me thru what steps would happen and things I needed to watch out for and talk to the Insurance Agent about. Highly recommend Elmers and so glad that their service is as good as it was 35 years ago. Excellent!!!

Absolutely the best! Wes helped me through a very difficult and long insurance claim and made sure my car was properly fixed when another shop had made mistakes and taken shortcuts. Wes took the time to show me and explain every issue in full detail as well as call me all along the way with updates! They all made me feel completely confident my car was in great hands! Nothing but great things to say, the whole experience was professional and accommodating. Unfortunately the vehicle I dropped off ended up being deemed a total loss but the team at Elmer's was very thorough and explained the process to me better than even my insurance agent did! I tried doing an online quote because i work full-time, they said they couldn't do it through picture, which is fine i asked to schedule an in person estimate. Instead i got asked questions about my insurance which i answered till i got asked the name of the agent i spoke too, and when i went to find the answer i just got hung up on without a word. Childish and unprofessional.

I just picked up my 2019 Ford Ranger. I was thrilled when I looked at it. Had back bumper and body damage. Looks amazing. Can t tell it was damaged. Front desk women are amazing and very kind and knowledgeable. I can t say enough how well I was treated. They hooked me up with enterprise rent a car and it was so easy to get a car. Thank you to all that helped me with this experience. I highly recommend them to anyone.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Absolutely do not recommend.Got the car in after waiting 2 months for an opening. They had the car for over 3 weeks when we got a call from them saying they spotted another $800 in damage without even telling us what it was.When we finally got the car back, we drove off the lot and didn t even get to the first stop sign before a slew of lights started popping up on the dash.Turn right back around and the OWNER of the shop tried to brush us off, stating that those lights were on when the car was brought in.He prints out a paper that says anything/everything that was wrong with the car when we came in (which was never even shown to us to begin with before the work started) . Not ONE was related to anything that was currently popping up. We were not treated kindly when we didn t back down from the fact they were in the wrong. They had the car for about a month & even after getting it back for a second time, it s still throwing codes that didn t show up until after they were in possession of the car.We ve decided to just take that loss and fix it ourself/threw someone else.Extremely disappointed with the customer service & quality of work. Do not take your car here.

I would highly recommend Elmer's Body Shop. It has been a family run business for three generations. The service I received was excellent. I had a window issue that caused a huge hassle. I was scheduled to leave town the next day. I remembered Elmer's does just about everything so I gave them a call. Wes Steffen (owner, operator) handled my situation very professionally . He solved it in prompt time. The best part was coming home from out of town to find my car fixed and even washed in the garage. The best in town.

Elmer's has done body work on my wife's car which I can only say was nothing short of perfect. I couldn't have been more impressed I thought. Recently my wife was broadsided (thankfully no one was hurt), but I had the car towed to Elmer's. I was called promptly by Wes, and he explained the damages and indicated to me the car must be totaled. I asked what do I do now. Mind you Elmer's is not going to make any money on this now, but Wes and Greg walked me through the process, and also took time out on how I should approach the other drivers insurance company. Their brief tutorial saved me over a $1000 in the recovery settlement, and thus did not put a ding on our own insurance. Wes was within dollars of our settlement. All I can say other than top notch body work beyond your imagination, these guys are there for you, to either do a professional expert job on repairing your vehicle to better than new, but they care about the customer and their situation, whether they do the repair or not. Wes and his crew really care and care about the product they turn out. I truly doubt anyone can find a body shop as honest and helpful as Elmer's anywhere. In closing I would recommend them for any body work on any type of vehicle. You won't be sorry you went there. Wes, Greg, and your whole crew are the very best at what they do, and all I can say is thank you for the time and information you shared with me regarding my wife's last accident. The information was an education and very helpful, in obtaining a fair settlement, plus savings on my own insurance. The world would be a far better place if all businesses operated as you do. You deserve far more than just a simple thank you for the literal existence as Elmer's Body shop and terrific people that work very hard there.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

The staff at Elmer's Body Shop are professional, courteous, and treat every customer as family. They discussed various options and shared honest feedback when asked "what they would do?" Their facility was extremely clean which carried over to the care they took with their customer's vehicles. My vehicle returned to me in much better condition than how I gave it to them. Honest and helpful staff that are known throughout the community for quality work. The wait to get an appointment is a bit long, but well worth. I could not ask for more regarding the quality and consistency of the work completed by Elmer's. The customer service always surpasses my expectations. Absolutely the best customer service I have ever seen. Also the cleanest Body shop. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, every detail was met. Coordination with Insurance Company, rent a car was beyond my expectations. What a surprise when I went to get in my car (also super clean on the outside) to find that the inside was clean as well, and smelled wonderful. I feel like I have a new car. Thank you Elmer's. You are one of the best kept secrets in Elkhart. Pam

We had a great experience! Had thousands of dollars in hail damage while we were on vacation in TN this summer, and Elmer's made the car look brand new again! They worked very easily and well with our insurance company, providing a detailed estimate, and worked quickly and diligently on our car. Was thrilled with the work that they did on our 2013 Subaru. We've already referred them to tons of people and would use them again in a heart beat if we need more body work done in the future. Thank you Elmer's! You made an unpleasant storm experience very pleasant for us through the whole process!

After a young lady backed into me and damaged my bumper and right rear panel on my 2015 Audi A8, I took it to Elmer's to have repaired. It turned out to be a bit more complicated that I thought to begin with. The Audi is a complicated vehicle and has MANY sensors in the bumper that require alignment to work properly. These fellows at Elmer's knew EXACTLY how all this worked and coordinated with my insurance company, the local Audi dealer to make sure that everything that was done was absolutely perfect. After getting the car back, I was MORE than impressed. Not only was the damage was completely repaired .. the car looks brand new like it did when I purchased it back in 2015. It's PERFECT. Also, to my surprise, they completely detailed the interior, trunk .. everything. WOW !! I would absolutely recommend this body shop to anyone who needs PROFESSIONAL repairs. Any body shop can probably fix a small dent, but these guys know there stuff !! They are REAL pros.You won't be sorry and when you get your vehicle back, it'll be like NEW !!

I took my van to Elmer's for body work on my car at the suggestion of my local mechanic. The staff was friendly from the start providing me a quick and easy estimate. They even followed up after the estimate to schedule the appointment to get the work done. I just picked my finished vehicle up this evening and was very impressed. Not only were they done with my body work a day earlier than estimated, but the car was cleaned from top to bottom, inside and out. I would definitely take my car there again for any body work, and would recommend Elmer's and the staff to my friends and family that need to have their car worked on!

This was an insurance job, they got my vehicle in as soon as possible and it was completed within the promised timeframe and looks great. My wife's car is cursed and seems to take quite a bit of abuse from the elements. Wind has knocked a basketball hoop over on it, large tree limbs, and other debris---carnage Brought on by a 11 year old and a wheelbarrow and so much more.The team at Elmer's have replaced the roof twice, windshield twice, body panels numerous times. Elmer's Body Shop sets a new standard for customer service. Mr. Steffen maintained regular communication with me throughout the time my car was in the shop, keeping me updated on the progress and patiently answering all questions. His team was professional, friendly, and did an excellent job with the repairs. When the car was ready, we took a test drive together to make sure I was satisfied with the work. He also called a week afterward, just to make sure everything was in good order. I highly recommend Elmer's.

Elmer s was recommended to us a few years ago for some body work in my Lexus LS. Since then we ve used Elmer s for several services including repairs, body work and even detailing. Most recently our daughter had a car accident. Wes took the time and really cared to make sure everything was checked thoroughly. We couldn t be happier with Elmer s work and their staff. Friendly and honest customer service. When we took our truck in for an alignment and minor repair after an accident, Elmer's Body Shop discovered it had been in a prior major accident. They were right. Even though it was sold to us as a clean title vehicle, pulling up the CARFAX report revealed that it had been declared a total loss 2 months before it was sold to us. Wes and Greg were a pleasure to work with, and Wes went above and beyond to make sure we knew the extent of the prior damage, as well as to check out and inform us of the different options available to us. I definitely recommended Elmer's Body Shop!

Wes and his staff did an amazing job on our vehicle. We came to Elmer s after an unfortunate accident. From the first phone call each and every person we dealt with was very professional! Wes is the best in the business and everyone else that works at Elmers is top notch! Customer service is something they have mastered. If we ever need a body shop again there will be no question about who we will call! Elmers Body Shop is hands down, the BEST in the area!

My experience with Elmer's Body Shop has been AMAZING. We hit a deer on 70 traveling from Chicago to Pittsburgh Pa on Nov. 5th. Once I was given a list of 5 body shops approved by our insurance, I immediately read the Google reviews. The reviews for Elmer's were spot on. We were given updates on the extensive work. The shop truly bent over backwards for us to get our truck back as we were traveling from Pittsburgh to pick it up. It ready before the projected date too! Excellent work!! Excellent customer service!
