Good people and fair pricing. Car repairs suck, you never know what you'll be charged for, but they have never fixed anything that didn't need to be!

My wife and I finally got a chance to get out of town (Westerville, OH) for a few days when our engine started sputtering. Pulled into Craig s, he diagnosed the coil problem in Cylinder#3, ordered the part and in less than an hour had us on our way. More than competent and professional, he and Janelle made our week a reality. If I lived anywhere near Decatur, Craig s would be the only place I d use.Pricing was more than fair. His knowledge and experience was invaluable. Thank you. I still owe you an Amish pie.

I was looking for a new mechanic, especially since I now work in Decatur and live out of town. Very impressed with Craig's Auto, fair pricing, great work and very professional. Even my wife, who was raised under the hood of a vehicle has been impressed. Long story short, I found my new mechanic, thank you for a great job done on my vehicle. I will definitely be back.

Great experience. Repairs done on time and very close to estimated cost. Best customer service. A week or so after repairs, I had a unrelated failure. Called the shop on a Friday afternoon. It just so happened that they were able to work me in for my minor repair. Blew my mind. It was just luck that they were able to do that on VERY short notice. But they were open to it. Most places wouldn't have even considered bringing in a repair without an appointment on a Friday afternoon. Janelle and Craig made my weekend. I highly recommend, and will take my future repairs to their shop.

The Best. Craig's Auto has been my go-to for all things mechanical and vehicle related for over 10 years. I wish I could move them south. They are, without a doubt, the best. Honest. Thorough. Hard-working. And they don't stop until it's done correctly. Always up front about what needs fixed when we take our vehicles in. Great service and great people to deal with. We have always been treated great. Very knowledgeable staff that gets the work done in a timely matter. Honest and up front about all aspects of car repair and tires.

Had a tough time with Craig's over the last two days. Sunday my van lost it's starter in Decatur (I'm from Fort Wayne). We weren't able to get back down to Decatur to try to take care of it until Tuesday; that morning I called them to see if they would be able to tow it for us and fix it that day and they said yes that it wouldn't be a problem. So they send the tow truck right away and get us to the shop. When we get there we waited in the front room by the receptionist desk for ten minutes before someone noticed that not only were we standing there waiting, but the tow truck was outside waiting for direction on where to put the van down. As soon as the van was taken off the truck the receptionist told us that she didn't think they would be able to squeeze us in that day, even though we specifically asked on the phone and she sounded like it wouldn't be a big deal. We had purchased the starter at O'Daniels so all we needed them to do was put it in for us, but they couldn't seem to make time for that. My husband and I had to then walk elsewhere because they didn't have a waiting room and we didn't even know if it was going to be done that day. That evening we get a phone call from them saying that they won't release the vehicle to us unless we allow them to fix the brakes because it was "too dangerous." The brakes were starting to wear, we knew this, so we let them take care of them. It was an additional $400+ that we weren't expecting to have to pay and we felt a bit like the van was being held hostage. The next morning they call to let us know that the van will be ready no later than noon. Because they had our only vehicle we couldn't get a ride to the shop until 1:45 that afternoon. When we get there we are told that it's not quite done yet... even though they promised it would be no later than noon. The receptionist offered to let us wait while they "finished up." After about 20 minutes she tells us that they can't finish it right now and suggests we leave. One more hour goes by before they call to tell us that the van is finally finished. We get back and find the keys to our van just SITTING on the front counter, no locked room, no receptionist looking after them, just sitting there so ANYONE could come in and pick them up. After waiting several minutes for the receptionist my husband just picked up our keys and we left with our van. How were they to know it was us? They got incredibly lucky that we were the ones to pick up our keys and take our van. I'm greatly unhappy.

I live in Tulsa, OK and was in Decatur visiting a friend in May when I needed a CV shaft replaced on my VW Bug. Not only was the service fast and friendly, it was extremely well priced! So much so that I am already planning a trip back to get more work done. Yes - I will drive 11 hours to have them work on my car. They are SO worth it!

My husband's car was acting up to the point he didn't trust it out of town anymore. Not only did they take care of us, but Craig was nice, understood our fanatical situation, and did every thing he could to help us. My husband trusts them, and now so do I.

I needed both hub bearings replaced. Prices were fair, work was fast, and they gave me a loaner vehicle for the night when it took longer than expected to replace the bearings. Very friendly folks who i would highly recommend.

Took my truck in for a simple diagnosis. Was told oxygen sensors and coil packs went bad all at the same time. Has a exhaust manifold leak and a/c checked out. Quote was $1800 without exhaust or a/c added in. O2 sensors and coil packs don't cost $1000 dollars . $800 in labor? I'll do it myself thanks.

We regularly use Craig's Auto Repair. We know we can count on Craig to do what needs to be done and do it right! We appreciate that Craig is always honest and find him to be much more affordable than the others guys. We wouldn't trust our vehicles with anyone else!

Was blown away by the estimate for a certain repair. So, I went to 2nd St. and had it done for less than half of what they wanted. They seem very untrustworthy.

The just don't do auto repair. They do lawn mowers and string cutters too. They do a little of everything. They are friendly
