I was there by today Wednesday December 13 2023 and Mike there mechanic did a phenomenal job of diagnosing my heater problem!! He had my part ordered and fixed within a hour. I highly recommend p and b automotive repair to anyone. I give them 6 out of 5 stars.Markie D

A few weeks ago I had my oil changed at a place other than P&B. While at the other place the mechanic informed me of rear brakes needing replacment. "Not much left" he said. I said okay, maybe in a week or so. Well, last week I was searching for renting a Uhaul item and stopped in to P&B on Summit St. While there I noticed that they also worked on vehicles. As friendly as they were dealing with the Uhaul stuff, I decided the next day to have the rear brakes worked on. Cory put the SUV up on the rack in the shop , I waited on a comfy couch in the waiting room. 10 minutes later Cory came out and asked "who said I needed brake work"? I told him about the oil change guy and what I was told. Cory said brakes are still at 60% and the work was not needed at the time. He also said it takes more than a glance to determine if the rears pads are bad. When he looked closely (more so than the oil change guy) he saw that they had life left in them. I was not charged anything and thanked him for his honesty. Many other places would have done the unneeded work. BUT... P&B's and Cory's honesty sold me. Any work needed on my vehicle in the future will now be performed at P&B. I will also inform others about my experience. Hopefully they become customers too. Honesty pays.

P & B Automotive is great!!! I needed a car inspection and some other things checked and they did a great inspection and thorough with the papers too and gave me a piece of mind of what needed attention and what was great. Thank you for the great help!!

Best automotive service experience ever. I am from out of town and state. My car broke down midday. And I desperately need it for work. Without an appointment they took my car in, had a mechanic stay late and returned it to me at a grwt price within hours. Plus they dropped me off and didn't even want to take a tip. I wish I had a place like this in Pennsylvania. If you are in Crown Point or nearby you can not do any better than P&B. They are awesome.Service: Engine repair

I can't give enough good praise to this place right now. I was stranded at the gas station and I called some nearby mechanics. The first 2 wanted to charge me a tow and didn't even promise to look at the car today. I called p &b next and not only did the guy come and help me... He came within 10 minutes!! Got my car started right away. I can't thank them enough or recommend this place enough. He was able to diagnose that I needed a new battery in no time. I really appreciate a business that actually cares about people. Thank you P & B!

I went here looking for a car. We thought we found one, but it didn't work out. PG is a very ethical sales/business man. I would highly recommend this place for that reason alone. It's so hard to find a sales person that is a person of their word. Thank you PG. You are definitely on my "recommend" list!!

These guys are incredibly friendly, honest, nice and fair. I brought in three vehicles in a week, and they managed to get them all done quickly and for a good price. For the amount of work I needed done, I thought for sure it would be pricey, but it wasn't bad. And just today I managed to lock myself out of my truck, didnt know who to call, so I called P&B and within 15 minutes they were there and had my door open for me. It was like calling my friends for help. I highly recommend them.

They are very impressive! George is the one I dealt with and he impressed me and my husband! He was very honest not like a mechanic that wants to take advantage of you! Very awesome experience! These guys are awesome! Nice guys and super reasonable pricing. Fast, efficient, and tidy work they were able to fix my exhaust issues quickly and without charging an arm and a leg. Couldn't be happier and will be recommending to everyone!

I had an great experience at P and B automotive. George was very helpful on many car problems I had while giving me lots of options towards performance, pricing, and get my vehicle bad on the road. There mechanics are also very well spoken and gets the job done right the first time. I ve done all of my own mods on my 2020 f-150 xlt but for my 2 1/2 level kit I decided to let a shop handle this one...Decided to look around at online reviews from crown Point to valpo.... I always read the negative reviews before reading positive reviews, because I wanna know the bad stuff but they had no bad reviews....So I booked a day.... Couple days later canceled on them with short notice without rescheduling. ...The very next day got my parts and called them back and they were able to fit me in the following day....Very cool about everything. Truck now leveled with 2 1/2 in the front and aligned...I call it how I see it (don t believe me read my other reviews) these guys are stand-up/ honest/ affordable. I ll be calling them when in need of any more work, or mods that are out of my league...-

got my oil change done here and they were super quick and efficient. i ve been turned away from some places because they couldn t do an oil change on my audi but this place did it with no problem! fair prices as well! would recommend it to anyone.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

A great mechanic and body shop. The prices are fair, reasonable and usually accept walk ins. A guy named Jorge runs the shop. He is always friendly and makes his customers feel welcome.

I knew what needed to be repaired on my van, so I called three repair shops for a quote. P&B Auto came in the lowest. I brought my van to this shop but I didn't tell them what needed to be replaced, I just told them the car was vibrating and asked them to fix it. They diagnosed the problem correctly and were very honest. I highly recommend this place!
