Cari was a sweetheart, she assisted me the best way she could. I felt Bill over charged me & he rejected every part I purchased for my car as if it was the wrong part... so he could charge for parts & labor. I'm thankful to get my car out of his hands .

I was referred to Crown Point by Gateway Classics. Jason and his team were very professional, patient, thoughtful and provided great service. It was a pleasure doing business and I highly recommend them. Thank you.

The worst costumer service ever! I was told one price at the beginning and changed me double! This is not how you treat costumers at no point! The lady that works there at the beginning was very nice and then she turned completely a different person very rude and started yelling sat me. She told me to pay and to leave, I was kicked out for her rudeness.

I went here to look at a vehicle they were selling out of this location. The lady behind the desk was nice, but the older white-haired gentleman was so rude and condescending that I decided to pass on the vehicle they had, even though I was interested. The gentleman I'm referring to completely ignored the woman who was helping me. She was trying to ask him a question for me. He walked off without even acknowledging her. To make it worse, when he came back into the room (after I waited about 5 minutes) he went back to doing something else and completely ignored the lady in the office and me.I have no idea what his problem was but after seeing how he treats his fellow employees, (not sure exactly who he is) I wanted nothing to do with this business. This is all after I took the time to look at the car they were selling (for my son) and him driving one hour each way to see the car.

My car was towed by their truck within an hour of my call. The issues with my car were explained to me fully by the mechanic. I was kept apprised of what was happening and when my car would be ready. I believe the price was fair for the work that was done. Very satisfied!

Fantastic work at a fair price. Bill took me step by step through the repairs needed on my 68 Lemans. The mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly. Cari in the office has great communication and is just plain awesome! Highly recommend this place for all your car repair needs.

This place was horrible! The front desk women was as helpful as she could be.The owner is so rude, and he hid behind his front desk women and refused to talk to us.They nickel and dimed us took 2 weeks to even begin what we asked for.Such a terrible experience!I recommend MTI service center in Winfield, they were amazing and affordable! We ended up having to go there after because my check engine light was on when I got my car back and I DARE not go back!

Recently purchased a 1950 Chevy 3100 P.U. Came to my house on a trailer. Test drive - started right up, steering was all over the place - braking, some - lights again some - wipers maybe - passenger door flies open. You get the idea. Got ahold of Bill and made a plan. Well picked it up last week. Steers where you point it, brakes are effortless, lights all work including hi-low beams, turn signals and even four ways. doors open and stay closed, windows roll up and down, has wipers, heat the list goes on. Essentially Bill took something that was dangerous, a menace to society and turned it into a driver that I'm proud own. Would recommend Bill and his crew anytime.

Oh where to start this place has been nothing but a mistake and they were great at first then it just got worse. They don't take care of the loaner cars and they barely answer the phone and when they do its like they really don't want to deal with you. I took my car there for breaks and the next thing I know they took it somewhere else to have a test done w/o my permission they originally told us 11 hundred now it's almost 3 thousand dollars um now that I have read reviews I am sorry I took it there. NEVER AGAINService: Auto brake replacement

This places technicians are extremely disrespectful. Telling customers they don't get paid to hookup trailers. But the office staff requires the tech to hookup the trailers. Have never been disrespected and threatened like this at any other service industry establishment before

This shop will always be my go to shop for any repairs on my vehicles. Bill called me after my car was towed there to let me know everything that needs to be done. They are very reasonable in cost and get the job done. Very understanding and made sure they checked everything on my car and let me know what needed to be done to get my car back running. Bill did a wonderful job and I will always be grateful for the work that was done.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Oil change

Went in due to a failed emissions test on my 2016 Chevy Malibu. $700 dollars later he found an oil leak and fixed a P1101 code, which was found to be a faulty sensor. Once I got the car back the code popped up again within days and charged us over $300 dollars to fix a problem he was suppose to fix the first time it was brought in. When the code popped up the second time I called the secretary, Trina, who verified that labor would be free considering the problem was not fixed the first time. However, when my family went to pick up the car, they wanted a $300 check for labor to fix PCV valves and run diagnostic tests.I have no problem paying for parts, as that is only fair, but paying for labor that was guaranteed to be free is unprofessional. If the owner did not want that to be guaranteed that should have been made clear to all staff.Definitely will not be going back as staff is unorganized and gave extremely poor costumer service. I shouldn't have to pay twice for labor when the problem should have been fixed the first time. I definitely felt taken advantage of and will not be returning, or recommending this place anytime soon. A complaint file on the BBB has been issued.Chevy/ GM owners beware, he did NOT follow Chevy mechanics guidelines/ flowcharts, which is why I ended up spending so much on labor. Go to a trusted mechanic.

I really like this place! The mechanics are knowledgeable and honest. I trust their recommendations and feel like my car has been running well since I regularly started taking it to Crown Point Auto Repair. The one thing that kept me from putting 5 stars is sometimes the work can take a while, but I know it s always high-quality work. I recommend checking them out.

Dealt with Bill Wilson for my 1967 Mustang. He rarely answered the phone and did not finish the work we paid for. He apparently rarely is at work too. My wife and I thought this was a reputable business, but it s not. Bill left parts in the back of my car instead of installing them and still charged me for the labor. He also took the battery from my car. I ve called his cell phone multiple times, but he refuses to speak with me. I saved up for a few years for the car and these repairs. I spent almost $18,000 in repairs with Bill and the car doesn t run, even though it was running to begin with.Services: Transmission, Electrical, Engine repair

EXCELLENT SERVICES , We brought our 2016 VW Passat in for an oil change, the technician informed us about an issue our dealership should of caught. Had he not told us about the problem, our warranty would of expired, the issue would worsen, and the price to fix that problem would of been extremely pricey. Our family is very grateful this was not the case. We will definitely be bringing our vehicles back for any future service they may need.Service: Oil change

I had taken my car to Levin Tire for a series of 4 straight months on an issue that they were not fully sure on and continued to quick fix a couple times. I was charged over $1500 for this unexplainable issue. Then, I took it to Crown Auto here. They identified the exact problem within an hour and had it perfectly fixed the next day. Also, the cost was very to the point and even discounted for me. I will gladly return to them with my car and future issues that come up. Great experience!

Had them replace the clutch in my truck. Took an extra day to fix, because the warehouse sent them the wrong part. They let me borrow a service vehicle which wasn't the nicest car, but it was free (only fill up the gas tank before it is returned). My trucks transmission is shifting much smoother than it ever had. Gave me a discount since I paid to have them look over the truck prior to scheduling the clutch repair. Overall very satisfied with the service.

Extremely disappointed. They saw me coming ! I walked in alone, an older single woman and did this best to scam me. Said my car needed complete breaks all around and the quoted price $743.45. Not only did my car not need any back breaks, in the quote was an oil change that I did not ask for or had my approval. First time SHAME ON YOU, second time SHAME ON ME. Not only did they lose a good customer, they also lost a recommendation.

Very very happy with my experience! Staff is personable and informative, mechanic did a great job fixing my car. I rely on my car for my job a lot so to be completely assured that it would be fixed right was a blessing and a great start to my new year. Highly recommend!

I have had various vehicles repaired here over the years and have had a good experience. Prices are reasonable, but remember nobody works for free. Service staff is honest and works with you for best outcome and is very friendly. Certainly way ahead of taking your car to a dealership.

I have NEVER had a company give me the service that I received here. Then sent me a check or discount to use if I brought the van back for the work needed.Plus I had mentioned my son's motorcycle accident and the wonderful people I met while in South.Bend......he actually remember and mentioned him at a event he just went to. Meant the world to me.

Got charged just shy of $1k for some bodywork on my daughter's car. ( 2012 Nissan Maxima - Silver ). What "They said they were going to do" was "NO WHERE" what they claimed they did. By no means am I a body mechanic of any sort. But c'mon man....Soon after this posting, literally within the hour, Bill the owner reached out to me wanting to know what the problem was. I spoke with him and explained my situation. I understand being a business owner and not being there 24/7 to oversee daily grind can lead to things happening. Nonetheless, Bill wanted to make it right. And he sure did ! He sent pics and kept in touch with every step that was being done to car from body work to metal fab. The results, I can't tell there was work ever done to the car. Bill was a stand up guy and stood by his word that he will make it right...and he did!! Will go back..

I've never had an auto shop that I trusted as much as I trust Crown Point Auto Repair and Restoration. They are open and honest about the work that needs to be done on our Nissan Quest, they made sure I was able to get a loaner car for my family (as a one car family, this was HUGE), and they always keep me up to date on the progress or new issues with my car. I'll never take my car anywhere else again.

They're an alright company. I'e been dealing with them for a few years. They give you honest estimates, and fair labor cost. It surprises me that the mechanics leave before the actual scehduled shop hours close down. I work 7AM to 3PM, and need a simple oil change. The lady told me her mechanics leave around 430PM, the shop hours say they shut down at 530PM. I don't respect their costumer appreciation. Tim yhe shop manager is the guy you should talk to and the helper lady in the office.

Engine troubles and no knowledge of engines. Tim at Crown Point Auto responded to my concerns and answered all my questions so I was able to make an educated decision concerning my car engine. He understood my budget and even set me up with a courtesy car. He took the car in right away and kept me updated with progress. I will continue to use Crown Point Auto for all my car needs.2015 Jeep Renegade
