Excellent service! Autozone told me that my alternator was dead based on their test equipment. Star Tire did very thorough diagnostic work and found that the alternator was fine and the real issue was with the aftermarket terminals on my vehicle. They saved me hundred of dollars by finding the real problem rather than just replacing the alternator.

Star Tire employees are friendly and respectful of my time and agenda. We've been taking our cars there for repairs, tune-ups, and tires for over 20 years! The owners, Lisa and Max Busz have the best work ethic and integrity. I highly recommend them. Our children and parents take their vehicles there. Called for an estimate on something I already knew was wrong. Gave information, was told I'd be called back. Called back, wanted to charge me $98 for diagnostic services because they weren't sure I knew what was wrong. I know what's wrong. I'm not gonna pay $98 for you tell me I need to fix my master switch, which I told you was the problem. Let's not price gouge women because they're women. Then the old hag hung up on me. I called Columbia City automotive and they told me to come in at any time and they would assess the situation, for free.. Greedy AMFS

Had the wife's vehicle in for an alignment, cause it was pulling every which way but straight. In just under an hour they had it in and riding like it was supposed to. Glad to have them do it.

I needed my brakes done and the guys went above and beyond when my vehicle gave them issues. They only charged me for 2 hours of work even though they had to work on it for over 8 hours. I have always had nothing but good experiences with Star. They are great and do very high quality work.

Very kind & expedient service. I explained that I worked nights & wanted to know if they could check out why my tire pressure sensor "fault" light was on, and they checked that right away for me for no charge. The tech was able to diagnose the problem & explain what repair would be need & at what cost. Would definitely use them for future tire services.

I had a money-pit car that was consistently running into issues. Star was always able to fit me in, in a timely manner and performed services quickly. I always felt that they were honest with me, good at communicating, were able to diagnose the problem quickly, and they were always upfront about the cost to fix. I never felt like they were trying to find extra problems, or give me the runaround. They were up front with me as well when I asked them if they felt it was time for me to invest in a new car rather than continuing to pour money into my last one. I highly recommend Star Automotive, they have saved me many times!

I'm giving them a 2 just because the staff was nice for the most part..nobody wanted to talk to me or help me when I had to pick up my car the 2nd time it was in after having the brakes replaced and then having to take it back the next day because the brake light came on after I left the day before. I've worked in a shop before and totally understand that things happen but when the tech already knew what was wrong I feel like it should have been checked and taken care of before sending the customer and their family away. Unfortunately I will not be going back because I can't trust that my vehicle will be serviced properly in the future. I chose this place because of the ratings and unfortunately I will be one of the few bad ratings they have. Also so far the light has not came back on so I'm hoping that topping off the brake fluid fixed the issue.

Me and my wife were going home and a contractor lost his load and kept going. We tried to miss it but got a flat our tire was riddled with nails. Star tire was getting ready to close they stayed open to patch tire. Come to find out 2 tires were bad. They replaced both of them. They have earned my business from now on. This is how a hometown business should be ran with compassion and honor

This company is the only place I trust with my vehicle. They have courteous staff who don t mind explaining things I don t understand. Let s face it, car repair is expensive, so you want it done right the first time, right.

On 12/2/20 my husband and I were traveling from MI to Warsaw, IN for a funeral service. We starting having tire problems around Columbia City. We had to stop and change the tire to the spare. I called Star at 5:28pm (they close at 5:30pm) and explained the situation. They stayed late and fixed our tire for us, otherwise we would have had to stay overnight since we could not drive back to MI on the spare tire. I cannot tell you how kind and accommodating they were to us. Thank you so much, it was greatly appreciated. Jeff and Alesia Apple

My whole family has used star for years. They are always good about everything! If they notice easy quick fixes we didn't mention in bringing it in they call and mention it to us and ask if you want it taken care of

I have been taking my vehicles to Star Tire for years, personally & professionally. The staff is down-home friendly and I can always trust their expertise and work. I won t take my vehicles anywhere else!

Being honest is a key to earning business and an individual's trust rather it be working on there car or them just walking in with a part. There is a red head fella, that works here that needs to be more honest point blank. Being dishonest when the customer clearly knew he was not is something ill never forget about good ole Star Tire :(

I use Star Tire for nearly all of my auto work. They are dependable and reliable and honest to the point of telling me when I SHOULDN'T invest in a repair. I strongly recommend them.

My tire went flat between ft wayne and warsaw. I gave these guys a call seeing that they were one on three places open in Columbia City (where the tire went flat). They got me in very quickly and were kind. Thanks Nick for getting me in so fast!

I've been a mechanic for for a long time now. Took a vehicle in for an alignment. They didn't do it and told me I needed other parts. I inspected it myself and didn't need those parts at all. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money.
