Superb service! Reasonably priced work. Clean facility, and friendly staff. Just had suspension issue/alignment/ABS Sensor repaired for about $1,100 cheaper than dealer quote. Also did excellent work on my brother's car as well. They work with car warranty companies, and accept various forms of financing options.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!! Call them today for all your auto maintenance, and repairs.***They even recommended collision shop for my vehicle that was involved in an accident two days before auto repair.***

I took my car to Tap Automotive in Clarksville on the advice of the people who hold the warranty on my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. The issues were: the four wheel drive error light was on and the low oil pressure light was on. After their mechanic did his inspection I was told they needed to replace the left and right wheel bearings, to change the oil, and to replace the ABS sensor. They also said I had an oil leak somewhere, but they couldn t tell where unless they put a dye in. They repaired the wheel bearings but had to wait for the sensor to get in. I received a call telling me that my car wouldn t start and I needed a new battery. I assured them my husband could take care of the battery and they asked me how they were supposed to get the vehicle out of the bay. (I thought, being a shop, they could figure out how to jump, tow, or push it out, but they asked me instead of taking care of the simple fix.)After they had my car for 5 days, I picked it up and when I started it white smoke was blowing out of the exhaust in huge clouds. This hadn t been an issue before their mechanic fixed it.When I called them about the white smoke they had me bring it back in. They were also going to look for the oil leak that they put the dye in to find. The first call I got was to tell me it was smoking from the exhaust, not the engine. Obviously I knew that already, and I did not tell them it was smoking from the engine. The 4 wheel drive error light came back on as well. The response to that was, well that mechanic doesn t work here anymore. The next call was to tell me that they could not get my car to smoke at all, and they had started it several times so there was nothing wrong there. However, the leak that they found was not an oil leak but a very bad leak from the transfer case and it would cost $2000.00 to reseal it (they were not replacing anything mind you). Now, I am no mechanic but how did a dye in my oil lead you to a leak in the transfer case that does not have oil .I said absolutely not and went to get my car.I called my warranty company because Tap was not trying to resolve the problems they created, or correctly fix the things that I first brought it in for. I was instructed to take the car to another place and have them look at it for the white smoke and the 4 wheel drive error light that was back on. They checked the oil and said the oil had been overfilled by about 2 quarts. Another trip to Tap Automotive asking them to please change my oil (a service I had paid for) and to not overfill it. They came back and said there wasn t too much, but they drained 1 quart anyway. Then he very condescendingly told me the other place had looked at the wrong side of the dipstick and he showed me how to read it. I didn t appreciate the attitude that I was too stupid to read a dipstick. I left there with my car still smoking and nothing fixed.Back to the other place. The mechanic there took pictures of everything that Tap said they had fixed, and checked the oil. The oil hadn t been changed, the filter and oil were dirty and the oil plug was not in tight. The pictures showed no parts had been replaced and the sensor had been broken, probably when they tried to remove it, but not replaced and my brake line is twisted (either they twisted it while "working" on the wheel bearings or at least saw it and decided not to fix it or tell me about it). And he looked for that leak in the transfer case and there was not one.The mechanic not only gave us the pictures, but signed a receipt attesting to his findings.Guess what, back to Tap only to have them deny any responsibility. They did finally replace the sensor, but didn t fix anything else.Overall, I would give them zero stars out of five (unfortunately I had to give them 1). They gouged me on prices for the sensor, actual pricing was shown to me at the other mechanic. They tried to force me into overpaying for a battery. They didn t do any of the repairs they charged me for and I left with my vehicle in worse shape than when I took it to them.

this is my first time using tap automotive. they diagnosed my cars problems efficiently. they stayed in touch with me updating the repair work. picked car up and everything is working good so far. i will likely use them again.

I absolutely love TAP Auto. The owner Tate is super friendly and customer service oriented. I have been taking my truck to TAP for several years and it s worth the drive across the river. I would highly recommend TAP Auto to anyone looking for quality work and a trustworthy business. I have sent many family and friends to Tate at TAP Auto and will continue to recommend his shops.

Matt at T.A.P automotive was who I dealt with and he was awesome! He took the time to explain everything to me and was always very kind and patient. He even did everything he could to get the work I needed done as close to my budget as possible and they were able to get me right in and he dealt with my warranty company without complaint. So far so good since getting my car back! I give them a 10/10 and definitely recommend!

We are new to Indiana and the car started making an unusual noise. I drove by TAP one day and thought it looked like a quality shop. So I went online and booked an appointment. I was able to drop my car off the next day. It ended up being something minor and I received great customer service from Parker, along with a quote for a couple other things they noticed. We will be bringing our vehicles to TAP for any future needs. Thank you Parker and crew!!

This place is my go to home repair shop for my car. I came to them with a long list of things I wanted done, and they gave a hell of a good deal for the labor as I already owned all the parts. Brought them the car/parts and from the time I got out of it I was greeted and treated like family. Nothing but positive vibes. Matt and Parker took care of my Ram multiple times. Always great communication, down to earth people, and excellent service as fast as they can get it done. We were traveling from Louisville back home to STL and had some car trouble. Googled these guys and stopped in. They were busy, but they took care of us and didn't take advantage of the situation and overcharge us. They actually gave us a discount and got us back on the road in a couple hours. I checked around and these guys are highly respected by the locals. Seems like good honest people, running a good honest business.

2015 WRX STIPrevious Reviews reflect that [T.A.P.] does Quality Routine Services. My vehicle was brought with Engine Repair Under Warranty [via 3rd Party]. The shop was very confident in handling a Built Daily Driven car, as they have experienced Technicians and ASE Certified Technicians.My Engine Removal and Replacement job took months due to various complications. After Completion, I brought my car back because of a Fluid Leak. Tate Inspected the issue Himself and got it ready for pickup in the same week. Got me in on a Thursday and had me out 7 days later. Sounds long? Nope. The VW dealership said it would take at least 3 weeks before they could even LOOK at my car. The employees called me every step of the way to let me know the status.

These guys changed me 140.00 to diagnose the problems with my truck ( which I agreed to) they told me that i needed a tune up and they wanted 921.00 for spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and button but failed to check compression on a faulty cylinder !which i checked and it had no compression . When i asked them if they checked compression they said that it would be an additional charge. I wouldn t recommend these people and I ll never take anything to them again.

I came in because the car was making a squealing sound and I couldn t figure out why. Heather was wonderful (as always)! She worked me in quickly and at a great price! A trip to a mechanic is never fun but I don t dread it knowing she works there. I feel like it s easy for people who don t know much about cars to get taken advantage of but Tap has always been reliable, reasonable and communicative on top of doing great work. TAP Automotive has been absolutely wonderful! Trustworthy, reasonable prices, caring, kind, (including the office staff) etc. My family is going on a 10 hour road trip and they made sure my vehicle was safe and road worthy ready! They are super tech savvy, I received a text message which included a full report of what needed to be serviced and how important each category was, which was followed up by a phone call from the shop. Had a quick and easy experience. They were available when they said they were, diagnosed the problem quickly, submitted to the warranty company, and handled the repair. All together they had the car for a few hours on diagnosis day and a few hours on the repair day. I appreciate the friendly, prompt and efficient service as well as not pushing for other repairs, not to mention the convenient Clarksville location. Was told that the motor mounts that I had just put in we're broken because they were cheap ones. So I paid them to replace them. However the mechanic only replaced two of the three mounts. If they were actually broken and the reason was that's a prior amounts were cheap why would the mechanic leave one of them in. I requested a thorough inspection but got the van back with problems still undiagnosed.
