Had new tires put on and an alignment completed. Excellent price and very quick turnaround. Extremely pleased with the thoroughness when completing alignment. I highly recommend James ATK if you need tires and or an alignment.

This guy and his business is down right great business. Period. Never knew of them before today, had a flat, he repaired no problem. We had great friendly conversations while I waited and he worked. I went to ask how much, and he asked for nothing. I've always been a pay it forward person myself. It felt great to have the universe recognize with a pay it back. My judge of his Chara is that of a honest, God loving mechanic. Ill support that, him and will surely return for any and all of my mechanicals on our autos. 5 stars sir. I see you. Been here several times and every time James goes above and beyond. I have watched as he does this time and again as customers come in and discuss issues with a vehicle.James is honest and and factual about what your needs may be as it comes to your vehicle.I ordered tires and they were here next day and on as well not a problem.Customer service from both James and Chris is outstanding.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

We did not know James prior to him opening a shop in town, but have since called him many times for car issues. We initially called for an oil change because the shop was located close to Brevin's and it was convenient. As time went on, we continued to use him for other repair services because he is honest, fair and flexible. Our family has 5 vehicles so it seems that someone is always needing something. Appointments are scheduled quickly and he is great about answering all our questions. We also know nothing about cars so it is nice to have someone trustworthy to give an honest opinion about what is needed. We are thankful to have James as a mechanic and business neighbor.Services: Tires, Brakes, Oil change

Fantastic mechanic! On more than one occasion talked me out of spending more money than was needed. His prices are always fair and reasonable, but more importantly I have 100% trust that he is being honest and fair with me. I am happy to support James as he makes an honest living by doing high quality work at a reasonable price.

I just have to leave a review, this man is a wonderful mechanic! I've taken my car in on a couple of occasions now, and he is simply the best I've ever been to. He is completely honest, very reliable, and will always get you in quickly and give you the best price possible. I had my car towed to him last night after it died and wouldn't start back up. There were no warning signs prior that anything was wrong. He called me this morning to tell me that he believes that the engine is shot. He said that he could take everything apart and run in-depth diagnostics on it, but he's certain from what he's already seen and heard that the engine is a goner, and didn't want to charge me to take everything apart unnecessarily (though he said he absolutely would if I wanted him to). This is obviously a several thousand dollar repair, and rather than encouraging me to let him do it, he instead suggested that I see how much I can get for it in trade in its current condition. He suggested that I compare that number with how much the repair would cost and how much I already have in the car, then decide if it's really worth it to pay that much money for a new engine. I don't know very many mechanics who would encourage me NOT to pay them several thousand dollars, and instead tell me to explore my options and figure out what's truly in my best interest. On top of that, he charged me nothing for the time he spent looking at my car. Not a cent. It's obvious that customer service (and just being a good person) is top priority at this shop. It's nice to work with someone who puts people ahead of profits. I won't ever take my cars anywhere else, and will recommend this mechanic to everyone who will listen. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would!

James is an awesome trustworthy person. I was pregnant and needed my car fixed right away. He fit me in and even gave me a fan to sit in front of because it was so hot, while I waited for my car to get fixed. Gave me a very fair price on my car parts. I will only get my cars fixed here.

James is absolutely outstanding in every way! Look, the reviews speak for themselves. I ve taken my 2005 Honda Civic and 2006 Sienna to him more times than I can count when he was in Fort Wayne. He s honest, fair and gets the job done right every time. He won t ever try to sell you something you don t need. I always enjoy the conversations we have too! He s not only a great mechanic, he s a good friend. God bless you James and I hope to make it out to Busco more!

I can't say enough good things about this place. They are about as fair and honest as a place can be. This morning, I had a leaking valve stem. I drove over to see if there was a chance that they could help me out. I was back on the road in 20 minutes and they didn't even charge me. I will be recommending them to everyone.

We used to go to James when he was on Lima Road and always got an honest evaluation and a recommendation that usually cost the least. Recently I had a heater issue and couldn't get an appointment for three weeks. James fit me in a day later and fixed it in a day.

My SUV broke down in the middle of the night and the tow truck service towed it to James automotive. They found I had a bad alternator and they had it fixed by 10 AM the next morning at a very reasonable price!thank you for helping me out! The owner followed up and made sure i was completely satisfied , i would give them 10 stars if possible.!Service: Engine repair

I have lived in Fort Wayne for 8 years now and James Automotive has been my only mechanic. I worked down the road from the shop and a pin for my gear shifter broke making the car unable to shift into park. I had it towed to his shop but he said it was such a simple ten minute fix that he wouldn't charge me to fix it. I only paid for the outside towing. 2014 James worked on my '09 Acadia replacing the o2 sensor. It ended up being so rusted underneath that the bolts were stripped and he had to replace the exhaust. He didn't charge me for time spent on the o2 sensor since it couldn't be saved saving me over $100. Every time I've taken my vehicles there he has taken the time to explain everything he's going to do to the vehicle, given me a quote, and stuck to the price. He's a very honest and seasoned mechanic so he knows a few mechanic tricks and isn't out to gouge. I would highly recommend this shop to someone needing a mechanic.

James always takes care of our family. I feel good knowing that he has worked on our cars and that our kids are safe in their older vehicles. Having grown up with a father and uncles as a mechanics, it was hard when we moved to the area. I did not feeling good about anyone that we used until a friend recommended James Automotive. Now I feel like we are being taken care of like family again.

I called a few different places to get a quote on some vehicle maintenance in the surrounding area. James Automotive was by far significantly cheaper than the competition. In my case I needed a catalytic converter installed and he came in about $100 cheaper that the next lowest price. He gave me a cheaper price the first time around. He offers free quotes, he's fully certified, and offers warranties on his work just like a big name shop. I dropped my vehicle off after work that day and it was finished the following day before lunch time. I spoke with the owner James on the phone and in person. He is very humbling and polite and he doesn't try to sell you things you don't need. James Automotive is the type of establishment that you are lucky to find and once you do, you'll keep returning.

I trust James and honor his word to direct me on the best path for longevity of my vehicles and my safety.Being female in the world of vehicle maintenance, I couldn't ask for better service and respect from James. Being new to the area, I didn't have a ride set up from the car shop to my home. James graceously gave us a ride and took the opportunity to understand what the car drove like. His quote was much lower than the Honda dealer down the road and he fixed the problem that they missed. I recommend Jame's Automotive.

I only needed a fairly difficult tire repair. It s far under the King s abilities. They did excellent work and gave great customer service anyway. I take every opportunity to use a business of a fellow veteran.
