Deb was awesome in helping me get the truck I needed for my moving needs. Deb also helped me with the setup of the self checkout and it worked great.

Labor is charged in 15 minute increments. So if they take 5 minutes two separate times to look at something you get billed 1/2 hour. Also if Mechanic is clocked in working on something for you and then gets pulled away to look at whatever walked in front door your still being billed. Building is in poor condition. Looks like Elwood fire department does the inspections. Merchandising and products seem outdated. Employee morale seems very low and no motivation. Mechanic did find my plows issue after 2 hours of billed labor. Looks like a DIY repair because I didn't get Vaseline with Diagnosis and can't go through that again.

Our main zero turn went down and we were in a rush to get a new mower so we didn t fall behind with our customers. Worked with John on the purchase of a new zero turn and could not be more pleased with how the process went. Got us a new mower and took our other zero turn in for warranty work. Have used them in the past for parts/welding and they have been excellent to work with every time. This buying experience just topped it all. They even gave me and my little brother Stihl hats, now I have to go here for all my Stihl Equipment! Would recommend Carmel Welding to anyone!

Great customer service! We had been on the hunt for a new sod cutter for quite some time and there were none to be found due to lack of engines causing them to be on back order. All makes and models have been a ghost and impossible to find. I looked everywhere!I sent in a message on the Carmel Welding website inquiring about availability and pricing. I was answered by John, he looked into what possible options he could help us find to fit our needs and promptly got back with me. In a matter of just a couple days he made it happen and it was ready to pick up. Hands down 5 stars!

Took our riding mower in and told them there was a short somewhere in the seat safety cut-off to the ignition. When I picked it up the bill was over $300. and the tag said "repaired gas leak." I questioned this and asked if they repaired the short and they said they knew nothing about it. There was no gas leak period and never had been so I don't know where they came up with that. Very sad though because it would be nice to have a "go to" place where you knew the people were honest. This happened maybe 5 years ago and I was just going to let it go but now I need another mower looked at and realized I still have to find a place and hope for the best.

I recently purchased a used mower from these guys they took on trade in and a few hours into using it, it broke down. They picked the mower up, fixed it and were willing to bring it back even though they didn't have to. They obviously care about their customers, and their reputation even at the expense of their profit. They have earned our business for years to come. Don't buy your equipment at the box stores...you'll regret not experiencing the friendly staff and service at Carmel Welding.

The review is just a continuation of the other reviews in yelp and google regarding service . If you walk in the shop, you stand there and wait and wait and wait for someone to even acknowledge that you re in front of them. I had this happen the two times I went there. You are treated likes it's an inconvenience to them when they are standing at the counter. I tried again to give this place another chance as it s the closest Cub Cadet store to my home and I need my riding lawn mower repaired.. This time I called and left a message. Unfortunately, as I expected, no one called me back. I would not recommend this place.

Had a really great experience here looking for a first time chainsaw purchase. They must've spend 45 minutes walking us through every option and answering our (very beginner) questions. Definitely makes it worth it to spend retail and get something under warranty from a dealer and avoid something online in this case. Great to know you can take it back to a solid store where you know people are going to take good care of the chainsaw and YOU! Thanks guys.

We rented a U-haul truck from Carmel Welding. We had a great experience with them. A couple weeks later my husband accidentally washed the contract, which we need for his job. Thank god for Bill! He sent us a copy of our contract the same day!

'Have been doing business with this company for 40 years. The owners look different that they did back then but one thing hasn't changed. They care, they carry good products and stand behind them, their word is good and the customer service is top notch and a legacy.If you have to pay a little more, you'll understand why, CW is the best and they earned it.

The customer service is what sold me on Carmel Welding. It was time to retire my old mower, so I purchased a Cub Cadet zero turn mower, and John was very knowledgeable about the mower. He let me test drive it and answered all my questions. I went to Lowe s before coming to Carmel Welding, and they were unable to answer any questions about their mowers or let me test drive.The mower got delivered the next business day, and I feel great about the service I received and will continue to receive from Carmel Welding.

Even though moving is a very stressful process, Bill was able to easily make us feel relieved. His communication and attention to detail was top notch. He went above and beyond his job to make sure we were well taken care of. We never felt pressured or rushed. He answered all of our questions. The rental process couldn t have been better! Thank you again Bill! We will definitely recommend you and Carmel Welding to others!

I recently purchased a TORO Recycler Mower and STIHL Battery Powered Trimmer at Carmel Welding. My overall experience was great. The Sales Associate was personable helpful, informative and credible. He assessed my need, walked me through my options and I left with 2 products that were exactly what I was looking for and within my budget. I didn t feel like I over bought or under bought. Both products were set-up and I was able to use right away - Zero Hassles!Overall experience was a 10!!Importantly, they have strong measures in place for social distancing and sanitizing.

I was in an accident omw to Alabama. The trailer I was pulling was damaged! Bad part I had to leave and facilitate getting my trailer fixed from 6 hours away! Called talked to Kevin and he told me no problem to fix (mind you I had took it to 2 other shops and was turned away) I got trailer towed to them and surprisingly they called me the NEXT day to tell me it was ready to be picked up! I couldn't be there till following week and they had no problems with that and stored it for me! AWESOME EXPERIENCE START TO FINISH! THANKS

My work out bench broke at the weld and these guys were able to weld it back even stronger than before!!Carmel Welding is the place to go if you need something welded right and for a fair price. Their customer service is top notch. They are now my go to place.Thanks Carmel Welding!!

You learn a lot about a business when things don't go as expected. Carmel Welding replaced the carburetor on my ZTR. The part failed less than a week after the replacement. They replaced it under warranty with a new carburetor, all with no cost to me, including no charge for the pick-up and return delivery. Nothing more you can ask of a business.

I was charged $25 since I neglected to fold 6 furniture pads. What a scam. Lol the owner below says he reminded me when I picked up the truck, clearly lying. I didn't pick up the truck at this location, only returned.

I drive 2 1/2 hours round trip to come here and I m satisfied everytime with the great service I receive from the group of guys working here. They have really helped keep my firewood buisness alive! Any time I need to buy new equipment or have old equipment repaired I make the drive up there because it s well worth it.

Parts clerk is ridiculous. He waited on a person that walked in after me , which apparently was a long time customer . The parts Clerk acted as if nothing was wrong with that. What ever happened to customer service?

Frustrating experience. Took a cub cadet push mower to them that was still under warranty. Submitted the warranty information to the email address they gave me the same day. Six weeks later when the mower was done (part was on back order for a LONG time), went to pick up the mower and was charged. Searched their email and found the email I had sent six weeks prior. Still made me pay $118 to pick up the mower because they had not submitted for the warranty. Spoke with the owner who hopes they will reimburse our money eventually but says it will take a long time to submit the warranty info.***Update: 2 weeks later: Carmel welding did submit for the warranty and refunded my money.

I took a ms290 chainsaw to caemel weildiing wouldnt start. Paid 40.00 to let them look at it. And to call me to tell me how much it would cosr to fix. Thet,went ahead an tried to fix it and charge me anther 115.oo for the dix in wht h i did not tell them to do. Went to gwt it and it still qould not start. They too kill it back then called to say the carb was leaking an wanded another 35 00. Fo the fux. I told them no an so they returned the tge saw all tor down. And still charged me 40.00. This will be the last time i qill take anything back ro this shop.

Had to give 1 star wouldn't let us go lower , wife and I went in March 2020 and bought a new mower and ask for them service ours ,they drop new one off and pick up ours and then they sold it.Bill starting his lies about it and how it went down when he wasn't even there .We will be filling in court and complaining to the BBB. Good luck to the people who deals with them . Watch out for John the salesman just as dirty as Bill.

Carmel Welding is top notch. Bought a STIHL trimmer this week. These guys are by far the most knowledgeable around. Bill was super helpful, answered all my questions and I was in and out. I buy all my STIHL equipment here and best place for mower service.

Nearly every machine I've bought for the care and up keeping of Haverway Farm ( 8.6 acres) has been from Bill & his crew James, Steven, Ron and (heaven help me), and the wonderful bookkeeper. Let me not forget the machinists that repair and fix them. Hey, in 18 years we have been on The Indianapolis's Garden Club Walk twice; we started with a jungle. It pays to buy the best, and from the place that will maintain it at it's best. I love Stihl & Troy Built & Toro Mowers. Machines, that when they break or I wreck them, Steve comes and picks them up and returns them like new. A finer bunch of people you have never done business with. I recommend them, double thumbs up; because I need a lot of help. Thank you all for being there when I need you.

Horrible welding services. Took an aluminum track there to get welded. They weren t careful and warped the track. Additionally I ended up having to spend 2 hours grinding down the weld to smooth it out. All of this and I paid an astronomical price. I will never go back.

Bought many things over the last probably 40 years. Recently a snowplow on a Ford F150 - great work, no issues.
