Will try to scam you. They said there were bent parts, and gave a high quote, but at the dealership they said there were no bent parts, and the car only needed a wheel alignment.

Recently had to replace brake pads, rotors, and calipers on my 2011 Chev Suburban. Larry and his staff did a great job. I've been taking my vehicles to Pep Boys Bloomington, IN for many years and Larry has always treated me right.

If I could give a lower rating I would. Call with a slow leak in my front tire. Larry said yeah bring her out when I got there he said they didn t have a lift and could do the work. Weak.

I got some new Copper tires on sale. They are working fine so far, performed well at interstate speeds. I use them for oil changes too

Don't go here. Choose anywhere else. Shoddy work that takes forever. Will just cost more money in the long run when you have to pay to fix their mistakes. Burned twice. Will not be a third chance.

I had my tire replaced at the Bloomington pep boys on Wednesday and paid a little over 100 bucks for one tire and today is Saturday (3days!!!) and I was on my way to drop my kids off at daycare and my tire light clicked on i get out to look and find my tire like this! A bubble in the tire and gap leaking air where it s not on the rim properly! However I called and they had me come in they replaced my tire free of charge and had it done in 10 minutes

Thought I was getting a deal on oil changes for my wife and I. However, a couple of weeks after the change, I checked her dipstick to find there was very little oil there. I got under the car and found that she was leaking around the drain plug. Not sure if it was stripped or just not tightened as it should be, now taking it to the stealership to see what is up. Edit: after getting a canned reply I have decided to give them one star instead of two.

I ve used this pep boys on and off for simple things like oil changes and tires over the years. I made an appointment for 2pm and dropped off my car to have the oil changed and they said 45 min to an hour. No problem, I said. I work close by and will just ride my bike back to work. By 4pm I haven t received a call back; I call and no answer. 6pm I call and they tell me it s ready and that someone should have called to let me know. They were apologetic for it, of course. I go there and pick up my car, pay, and go back out. There is a mark on the tire wall that I took notice of before dropping off the keys because I wanted to make sure the tires actually got rotated. The mark was on the same tire so it had NOT been rotated. I went back and and the manager Larry offered right then and there to rotate the tires but it would have taken 20 mins and by this time I needed to be home. I was pleased that he didn t argue, and just tried to resolve the issue right then and there. I had to come back on my lunch the next day to get this done, which was inconvenient, though. While this isn t. A huge deal, for me this calls into question the integrity of the workers here. I thought that this might have happened before on a previous oil change, but I thought maybe I was wrong. Seeing it happen again makes me feel this isn t just an accident, it s how business is conducted. If they cutting corners here, where else are they doing it? I won t be using them again.Edit: reducing this to 1 star now. Didn t know this until doing a little research but my tires are non-directional which, according to pepboys own website, should be rotated from driver side front to passenger side rear. Pepboys just rotated the tire straight back to driver side rear. Not sure if this is just ineptitude, laziness, or spite... but yeah not coming back.

I bought tires on the Internet and had them shipped there. They did a good job with the install. They performed a complimentary inspection and offered extra services, but were not pushy when I declined. Total price from their labor ended up being about $100, which is pretty reasonable compared to other places I checked.Service: Auto tire replacementService: Auto tire replacement

Made a reservation for warranty brake work. Dropped it off by 9:10. Asked them to check out the noise in the front in when the steering wheel is moved back and forth. We asked to be informed after they looked problems. At 4:10pm, after not receiving a phone call, I called to find out they had looked at the brakes and that it would be $600. Told them we d be there to pick up the car. When we arrived to get the car they just handed us the key. I asked if we get any paperwork. He then printed out the work order and the results. I asked what they had found about the noisy front end and they said nothing.Unhappy with their customer service I called their national customer phone number. I asked to speak to the district manager. I was told he wouldn t call me back until tomorrow. Well, it s tomorrow and he never calledI would not recommend taking my car to this place.So, it s 9/23/2022, it s been several days since I posted this review. As you see, the owner has replied with the same cut and paste response as the other negative reviews. The district manager has my contact information and still hasn t replied.The owner passes the responsibility to someone else. Hopefully people read these reviews and won t patronize this business.

I took my car into Pep Boys for a tire repair and to get an oil change. Their online appointment scheduling was easy and convenient. They did the Service in a very timely manner and the employees were friendly. I will definitely go there again in the future.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Stay far away from pep boys in Bloomington. I had went in to have a belt replaced. After the service was completed, I picked up my vehicle that now had a terrible rumbling and was driving funny after their service. They had hand tightened the lug nuts on my tire, and then told me my car was safe to drive. Larry will be more than happy to lie to your face and try to shut you up with an oil change. Thank you for valuing mine and my 1 year olds life as an oil change.

Great people here! I was traveling cross country and my 4 Runner started acting suspicious. I came to this Pep Boys location on a Sunday with no appointment and they were so understanding of my situation and took me right away. Larry was wonderful to me and when I left I felt assured my car was safe and ok to continue on my trip with. Thanks so much Larry & PepBoys!

I was greated promptly by the friendly staff and they were able to quickly schedule my appointment. Updates on progress of my repair were sent via text and they were able to get me on my way in less than an hour. Thanks to all for the great service!

To expensive but was stranded had no choice but to pay more than double for a brake repair. Otherwise they got it done pretty quick. Even though felt taken advantage of.

I needed new brakes a rotors and brake pads because mine were worn down to the calipers and I set up an early appointment the night before because I needed them ASAP and pepboys were super nice and understanding and got me set up with new ones in a jiffy! 10/10 experience

Went to have a tire plugged. Had a 9:00 appt. At 10:00, the tech still hadn't shown up for work. Needless to say I didn't get my tire fixed.

I had a wonderful experience here when I brought my car in. I scheduled an appointment online and they took my car right on schedule and fixed it quickly. The front staff was super friendly and kept me updated on the technician's progress. Will definitely come back with any more car needs.

After a bad experience at Firestone at College Mall, I gave Pep Boys a shot to fix my tire. I was a little worried because the review on here was only 3.4. After going there, I have no idea why.Bob was beyond helpful and honest. He actually listened to what I said and told me what was being done. He even showed me what happened to my tire. He asked me if I wanted roadside protection, you know, like a salesperson should. I actually felt like a person. None of this happened at Firestone.Every employee there was nice, actually. I walked around the sales floor to kill time and the guys at the register held my stuff and one came over to explain the sale pricing to me.I will definitely be going back.

Came in a half hour before close for a simple fix. Was given fast, friendly service, and had a lot of extra, general car questions they were happy to answer. Even showed me the process they were doing for the quick fix.

Took car in last year to get the air conditioning serviced, just took it back in Friday. I was there for over 21/2 hours. The person at the desk was extremely rude and thought it was more important to play on his computer than telling me my car was fixed! That tuned out to be a lie, its worse than when i took it in! This place is a joke and the owner must not care about customer service and doing what they say they will do! This place is a rip off big time!!! Just look at all the bad reviews. So that tells me alot about pepboys!!

I would recommend everyone to stay clear. This place is a scam. I was here and many of my brothers have gone and every time we get our car fixed it turns out that there are more problems after we leave. Then they try to make you come back and charge you another $3000 dollars for a $50 fix and if anyone have questions I have proof with receipts and quotes that I was given. So STAY CLEAR.
