Was out of town and our car started making noises. We stopped and asked if they could take a look at our car and let us know if it was safe to drive 2 hours home. They listened to our concerns and immediately got a technician to look at our car. We weren't for sure if it was a wheel bearing or the muffler. He took our car for a spin. He came back and confirmed it was the muffler and that it was safe to drive. He went ahead and pulled the car into a bay and looked under the car. He took pictures and came out to show us that the flex pipe had rusted through. He assured us that we could drive to Florida and back if we wanted to but it would just be louder than normal. It was a relief to know we were safe to drive home. They were very friendly, good customer service and got us in and out quickly.

This is the only place I trust to get fair pricing and quality work in a timely manner. Ryan is super polite and professional, keeps you updated on the status of your car while you wait, and he ll actually show you exactly what s wrong with the vehicle and the break down of the pricing to fix it. The rest of the team gets the job done quickly AND thoroughly. No surprises or gimmicks, no slapping a bandaid on the problem instead of actually fixing it. It s very refreshing to go to an honest mechanic and know you re in good hands! Thank you guys so much!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

My starter went out on my car on Monday at the gas station. I called Midas and asked if they could work on it that day. They said they were all booked that day but he could look at it and work on it the next morning. I got it towed there and everyday I would call they told me they would TRY to get to it the next day for the next few days with no time frame. After getting upset, I asked for a time frame and they said the next day by noon. I went up there to get tye car seat out of my car and it still hadn t been worked on or looked at at 3pm so I had it towed to meinike instead. If your shop is busy, please don t tell people you will work on it the next day and waste peoples time and money (especially on the tow trucks).

Went there for A full synthetic oil change. They did a great job and also located a rattling noise. That had been driving me nuts for 2 years.

I just had to get on here to encourage anyone who is considering visiting the Midas West location to do so. Ryan and his team are great! I have been going here routinely for awhile now and have never been disappointed. They are efficient, affordable, and provide honest work. Thanks guys!!

I ve always had a great experience coming to Midas! Ryan is amazing at what he does and so are his techs! They always make sure I m set up before leaving. Ryan is a family man and makes sure you re taken care of (especially being a woman and not wanting to be taken advantage of when going to an auto shop). Ryan makes the atmosphere very welcoming and always explains exactly what s wrong with my car & even shows me what my old part looked like compared to my new. Great service! I vouch for the other reviews that specifically mentioned manager Ryan by name. He got my vehicle serviced quickly while short staffed. Explained my options well, before servicing. And afterwards even took the time to show me the results of the item they replaced. Last few times I went to where I previously had my tires replaced to get them rotated the employees would often treat you like they were there just for a paycheck and not to provide a service to a customer Some people don t understand or don t care of how this effects the customers desire to return . But good job Midas West Third! I ll be back. Service: Tires

I made my appointment online for an oil change. They confirmed in less than 30 minutes. When I went to the register, I didn t feel like I was trying to be sold things I didn t need, or charged for the most expensive items without being told my options. I appreciate that. I will be returning.

Ryan text me a few days after service inquiring about my satisfaction, to which I replied infavorably and received no follow-up response. How comforting that I was sent a feedback form to explain this for the public to see as well. Not as much attention was paid to my concerns for my vehicle as I inquired. I've brought several vehicles to six different mechanics in Bloomington, and Midas on Third Street has by far been the best shop in town. Ryan and his staff do an incredible job cycling vehicles through their shop in a timely manner. Ryan is transparent with all of their work and pricing, and whenever a vehicle has an issue he thoroughly explains the issue(s) to the owner.Ryan even takes it a step further and will show the owner the damaged / broken parts coming off the vehicle. Before servicing any vehicle, Ryan explains the issue, all possible solutions, a timeline for the repair, and the cost of the repair. He's very good at fielding questions and concerns about any vehicle and he's able to explain things to people with little to no understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs.I've been to Midas on Third Street many times, and my experience here has been so positive that I'll never go to a different shop. The best auto service shop I ever visited. Very respectful and humorous people. I had a tire swap on my new car and they didn't leave a single scratch on the wheels, which I was really worried about. Interior was as clean as before. They take care of your car. Reasonable price as well. Lots of shops don't give a penny about your car. They took care as if it were their car. Definitely recommend this place.

Always great service here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff that is transparent about the work they're doing and will utilize the minimum number of labor hours to complete your service. You won't get the extra pleasantries of going to a large car dealership, like access to a luxury coffee lounge or paper floor mat protectors to keep your car clean while it's in the shop. I highly recommend coming here for any out of warranty work.

I took my car in to get a headlight fixed. Finding 1-2 hours for something impromptu is really difficult for me right now. Ryan understood and replaced the headlight in 5 minutes so I could get some time back, and that was invaluable to me. Thank you so much for your help, Ryan! See you for my oil change!

They are so kind and friendly. They were honest and friendly and gave me great rates on my tires. I have had so many bad experiences with mechanics around town but these are stand up people. Definitely going to stick with them. Highly recommended.

Brenda and the team at Midas are so great! Brenda blows me away with her knowledge of vehicles and I always trust her when I m there. Not once have I, a single woman, ever felt taken advantage of at Midas, thanks to Brenda and her wonderful team.Thank you, Midas! You re the best!10/10. Highly recommend.

I called to schedule an alignment and brake pad change and the guy on the phone was asking me questions like I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about. He was condescending and rude. I told him to not worry about it and that I would take my business elsewhere.
