Guy just left with my junk car. He is a serious pro at this. He got his flatbed up my insane driveway, and managed to drag a completely dead Subaru out of the garage at a 90 degree angle.I highly recommend using them!

BEWARE! DOES NOT HONOR QUOTES!I contacted JB s Salvage by phone to arrange for a parked car to be picked up. After asking for the details on the car, I was offered $230. I mentioned that I also had an electric lawn mower and weed eater and asked if they would make it an even $250. They agreed.I was told that the next step was to bring the paperwork (NOT the car, mind you, just the paperwork) to their office, followed by then we can schedule a time to pick it up. I remember this so clearly because it made me wonder how booked out they might be and how many days it might take to actually pick up the car.When I showed up with my paperwork and reminded them of the phone discussion and their quote of $250, the guy s immediate response was, Well, I don t know about that. So he was already trying to get out of paying the amount they quoted me. Sure enough, he said they would have to take off $100 to pick up the car, that the $250 was to bring the car to them. THIS WAS A LIE! They clearly knew the car would have to be picked up otherwise there would have been no reason for me to schedule a time or to bring only the paperwork to their office. I was cheated out of that money and the ease and shamelessness with which it was done tells me this is standard business practice for JB s Salvage.Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well. Avoid doing business with this company!

After pricing local dumpster rental services for our home renovation, we found the best price with JB's Salvage. They delivered a 20 yard roll-off on the same day, and took great care to protect our driveway and landscaping during delivery. We also recycled metal scrap through JB's Salvage. All of our communications were professional, and their customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend!

Always very friendly customer service. Answer questions without hesitation. The owner or head guy would usually give my son a piece of candy or gum. I also like how he would pay out with special coins, like gold dollars or 50 cent pieces.

Great overall experience! I called mid-late morning on a Monday to get a 30yd dumpster, it was delivered that same day before 4pm to the Bedford area. I called them for pickup and the dumpster was gone in less that 18hrs! They did not spill a single piece of drywall and even took extra care to no get a tire off in my yard since it s been so wet lately (and my driveway is very narrow!). These guys know their business and I will be using them again for all my disposal needs. But to me the best/most important part was how pleasant and helpful they were on the phone, while also explaining everything from delivery to billing. Thank you JB, you guys are terrific!

I took my car in to be salvaged. Great people to work with. While I was there I bought some scrap copper wire to make some things. Good price on the copper. I am a happy camper.

Today I took my old car to JB'S to scrap. They were super friendly and very helpful. Also got more money than I thought I would If you have stuff to scrap this is the place.

They will take advantage of anyone they can who is trying to sell. They will give you the lowest price reguardless of type of metal and will argue with you till they are blue in the face. By the time you get the reciept they have already mixed your items with the rest so its not like you can take your cans back and go elsewhere. When dealing with several pounds there is a big difference between 40 cents and 6 cents a pound

I take a fare amount of scrap metal to JB's but I'm still not a pro but the staff is good about informing me on how to prep and separate the various metals to get the most cash value.

the guys seemed nice enough. pretty typical junk yard. They didn't have what i wanted so i don't know what their prices are. i was able to walk around myself, which is nice. it seems less and less allow people to do that

New subscriber, only had JB's every other week plan available, so we're giving it a try. Looking like it's going to work out, but today (2nd scheduled pickup) it appeared that they missed my pickup, and at the two week mark it does start to get critical. Their offices were closed (missed by just a few minutes) by the time I made a phone call, but kudos to JB's for having a message on their service informing callers that they were running behind schedule, and to leave the trash out to be picked up later tonight. It appears that JB's understands customer service, and if their message is accurate, knows how to deliver it. Holding out the 5th star until we have a few months under our belts.

Every time I have been to this business I am treated fairly and professionally! I drive from Martinsville which is roughly 30 minutes from JP Salvage because I know I will get the fairest deal on both scrap and new stock metal!!

I like their inventory, but the guy in the wheelchair Chris, will give u what he says is their standard price with is usally higher than what it shold be sold at. He takes too long to decide on selling price. He charges tax on the junk also. He doesnt seem very helpful. maybe its just his disposition of him being in that wheel chair, but when he is not there other guys there really give u a great deal and act like they want to get the junk sold and gone. If chris was not there I would be back there alot buying parts for my several vehicles.

JB's Salvage is, in my opinion, the best place to sell scrap metal in the Bloomington area. The offer a fair price for scrap. The price best if you have separated out all the individual types of scrap. If you leave it mixed, expect them to give you the lowest price. After all, then it's up to them to separate it out.

I have went there for 25 yrs and the last few years they have gotten very shady! The constantly take my high aluminum item and price it at sheet metal or long steel prices. So I get hardly any money back compared to what I should get back.

Went over the scales today at 13310 stopped the truck and watched the scales like I always do and when I went to cash out they said I had 12310 wow been going there for years and have notice how here and there car just not adding up, a very shady places will have to start going somewhere else.
