Took my car here after I crashed it. They told me an initial estimate which was very high and told me it was mostly labor. I told them to go ahead and fix it. They soon called me back and I thought it was ready to be picked up. They proceeded to tell me that even more was wrong with the car and almost doubled the estimate. It was still less than the cars value so I said do it. They called me back a few days later. Assuming all was finished and I could have my car back they told me that they couldn't fix everything, and they would get it drivable and refer me to a mechanic so I can drive it over there to get everything fixed. I went to pick up my car and they did absolutely nothing to it. It was not even remotely drivable. When I got in the car to check everything it was trashed. They raided the glovebox and console. Everything was just on the ground everywhere. They also stole spare change, 2 pairs of mechanics gloves that I had, and tools out of my trunk. And after all of that, they made me pay for them to steal from me. I would not recommend coming here, unless you want your belongings stolen.Update:After receiving a $4000 quote for repairs I spent $250 on parts and completely repaired the car. This place is a scam.

My daughter needed to get to Pennsylvania and her car had an engine warning light. Nik got us in immediately and had a technician do a thorough check of the car (even systems like brakes, lights, etc.). They found a few things and made some recommendations, but confirmed that the car was safe to drive which gave my daughter great peace of mind. Very much appreciated.

Repeated failures to adequately fix mechanical issues has lead to being stranded on the roadside multiple times. They take no responsibility, and charge for resulting damage and repairs. I do not trust that they know how to diagnose, let alone actually fix even basic issues.

Had a slight alignment issue. Left with a huge alignment issue. $206 and had to make time to drive the 1.5 hours back to another location to hopefully get it fixed. Photo is end result of the first alignment

Very helpful in getting my vehicle fixed for my college student daughter. All communication was from my home in another city and they made everything super easy and had the car ready early the next morning. Great job!!

Avoid this place at all costs. We brought in our car to get a new tire on the drivers front. The techs forgot to check that the wheels on the car are different sizes in the back (slightly larger in the back). They went ahead and rotated the tires, putting the new one in the back, and failed to write it down in the paperwork. When we got it back, the car made some odd squeaking noises. We took it to another shop to look at, and they told us Firestone s mistake. The damage from rotating the tires ended up warping an entire rim and nearly popping the other drivers tire (the non-replaced one). Firestone has to send a tow truck to get our car because of how bad the warped wheel affected the car. After Firestone telling us it ll definitely be fixed free of charge by tomorrow 3 separate times and failing to meet the deadline, they finally promised it to be done by a Monday at noon. They never call that day and I call them, very frustrated, at 3pm. They then tell me We ordered the wrong tire for your car, we won t have it till Wednesday . This was the 2 week mark of not having a working car. I angrily tell the managers how abysmal the service is, and that we both have been missing work and rescheduling all sorts of important events because of their incompetence. Now, they decide to get us a rental car, but only after they ve botched a simple job over and over. They tell us that we ll have the rental for 2 days and to come back Wednesday and we ll be good to go. Naturally, Thursday rolls around and they finally finish it. We both are insanely busy working full time and in school, and unable to make it in to pick up the car on a day we never agreed to. They call again Friday, and have the audacity to make a snide comment about having to pay for the rental car for an extra day because we didn t pick it up when they finished it (late of course). We pick up the car, and hope to never see those workers again. The managers are nice people. But holyHell, the level of ineptitude here is out of this world. Belle Tire on the West side has never given me any issues.

Stopped in with a tire to repair for my son. Zach (I believe was his name) went to look at the tire. He informed me they had a machine down needed to repair called the downtown location and asked if they would be able to repair it. Thankfully they could. Very helpful and over all great experience

They are liars!! I took my car in to get the brakes checked and they told me nothing was wrong when there was clearly something wrong. A few days later my brakes went completely out and a new mechanic told me there was in fact something wrong. I needed brakes, rotors AND calibers.

The service was efficient and professional. My concerns were taken seriously and communicated to me effectively. I am a return customer, and that will continue.

Affordable repairs here .However they mess something up everytime. Once they broke a custom wheel cap, then they lost a custom tire Valve stem cap , then the worst they broke the cap that goes on the oil filter. They

Awful experience, rude managers, unintelligent service staff, do no take your car here! They do not know what they are doing, you would be better off having a high school shop class work on your car.

I have been a Firestone customer for 5+ years at the College Mall location. My husband and I have taken both of our vehicles there for all of our regular maintenance and while their pricing has historically been a little high, the work has been satisfactory. Today, however, I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change only to find I was charged $94.23.For an OIL CHANGE.When I asked the cashier why the bill was so much, he replied with that s just how much it is and didn t explain any further. After getting home and looking over the itemized bill, I realize I was charged not only the $58.99 for 5 quarts of the high mileage synthetic oil (which I did not ask for) but an additional 10 quarts of oil??? My vehicle holds no more than 6 quarts. Ridiculous.Needless to say, I won t be returning. It s such a shame - such an ideal location but the poor customer service and blatant price gouging is unacceptable.Service: Oil change

They certainly pad the price of their brake parts. After I got the bill, I price checked the parts, and they marked the rotors and pads up over 50% of retail. Also, they didn't "prioritize" my repair even though I dropped off the car the previous day and was told something would probably be done that first day. I also told them that I was traveling over 1k miles from home, but they took their sweet old time. No consideration for the extra costs to me. This is very different from past experiences I've had at other shops repair shops. What in the world is going on with people caring about other people? This area seems to be a place where the businesses don't seem to have a sense of urgency to get things done quickly of efficiently, and it seems like it's because they're one of the few places in town. I'm trying to be fair, but I'm not sure how trust worthy this place is. The staff was friendly, but I think they were "managing me" or placating me.Service: Brake service & repair

overall, a good experience. took them three tries to fix the issue with my car, around two weeks total, BUT worth it due to the amount of discounts they give you and the fact that after the second time they failed to fix the issue with my car, they ate the cost of the rest of the repairs, saving me ~2k, which is more than i even paid for the first two jobs. their customer service is great, and they even dropped me off at my house when they had to keep my car. honest work, will keep going despite the inconvenience.

The staffs are very friendly here. I changed my engine oil, and they didn't even ask me, but applied a coupon to keep the prices to minimum. They did some free checks, and suggested the actions nicely. I would recommend Firestone for getting auto services at decent prices.

The manager here was so kind and accommodating! My tire lights came on and they told me to just come right in whenever, were so nice, and took less than five minutes to fill my tires back up before sending me on my way free of charge. If I ever have a bigger problem, I ll be coming right back here.Service: TiresService: Tires

One of the more expensive oil changes around...ok, so they told me I needed a new battery last time i was in, sure enough they were right. Too bad they charged me another $25 when i brought it back to replace the battery to tell me i needed to replace the battery..and 7 hours later, only 3 times as much as batteries used to cost.

My car's oil change was only started 6 hours after its appointment. As an out-of-state visitor in Bloomington for a short time, this screwed up my entire afternoon and evening plans. I was never contacted about the delay. I had to proactively walk half a mile back to check on it at the scheduled release time to be told it's next in line, but then I had to proactively call back to find out it wasn't in a bay even 2.5 hours after that statement. I understood the excuses told to me repeatedly, but never received a call or text - I had to initiate each time, then make hurried adjustments which kept on getting worse and worse with the continued delays. Management - I am a loyal Firestone customer nationally, so please get on this to break this strange habit of no communication and no follow-thru

I sat and waited in the store for 2 hours (with my back to the desk) despite the fact that they told me my service would only take an hour at most. Finally I went up to the desk to check on the progress and saw my keys sitting on the completed hook. I m not sure how long they were there but no one told me my car was ready and I had to stand at the desk for a while before anyone in the garage came in to help.Service: Tires

Everyone was very friendly, and it was nice to hear the mechanics laughing as they worked. The employees were clearly having a good time, and it was nice to hear as I was waiting for my car. The service was prompt and I am very happy. This was my first oil change at a Firestone and I will definitely be returning.

This place tried to overcharge me on a repair. They get the 2nd star because they do a good oil change.I went in for an oil change and was told I needed my whole brake system serviced: new pads, new rotors, brake drums with new fluid. The whole thing would cost about $940. When I told the mechanic I wanted to shop that around to try and find a better deal, he tried to use scare tactics to get me to agree to getting the repair done then, telling me that the car was dangerous to drive until the brakes were fixed. The brakes felt like they still had good stopping force in them, so I left and made an appointment with a local mechanic. I drove the car for 3 weeks (with no issues using the brakes) until he was able to check the brake system for himself. He recommended and performed the same work that Firestone suggested, new parts and all, but for $399 instead of $940. The brakes feel great, and I won't be going to a Firestone again. Not even for an oil change.Do not get scared into making a repair on the spot (unless your car is legally unsafe to drive). If it got you to the shop, it will get you home. Then you can then check and compare prices in your area to find the best deal.

Had such a great experience at this firestone. Went in with a nail in my tire and they patched it up under two hours (with a super busy store) and for free. Will definitely be going back and appreciate all the hard work these guys did.Service: TiresService: Tires

Do not go here!!!!! First of all they lied to my face. I broke down with a flat tire monday morning at 9 am. I took it to the closest place which was firestone on college mall road. I explained to them that if the tire was fixable to go ahead and fix it for me and if it was not repairable to just put my donut on because, I am under warranty at a different shop. My tires are not even a year old... Well, they said my tire was non-repairable and that it had burnout and I needed a brand new tire.. So they put me on my donut and sent me on my way... Well I went to my tire shop where they had warranty under. They said I did not need a brand new tire because, my tire only had a nail in it and that they would fix it for free... So needless to say I waited 5 hours for firestone to look at my vehicle. Then they did not even look at my tire to fix it for me like I asked them too. AND They LIED straight to my face and said my tire was non-repairable. I have the paperwork that literally says non-repairable. I have paperwork that says service advisor Mike is the one who lied to me. SO please don't waste your time going there. This is not the only time I have had issues because I am female. will be calling the better business bureau on this company.
