I had 2 previous mechanics look into my Subaru Forester giving me a diagnostic test and failed to share with me what was essential to have fixed now. As soon as I arrived to Alex at ABA he jumped right into fixing what was vital. We discussed what could be put off and what we could get done right away. I saw in him what I wish to find in all mechanics, SKILL & HONESTY. Just had my first experience with ABA and I ll definitely be back! They were less expensive than my other estimates, did awesome work and did it quickly. Went above and beyond to make my car look great after a hit and run accident. ABA Auto provides best service at a very cheaper price. Recently, my wife slid into a ditch due to snow and the bumper of my SUV and the cover of front-right side tire was damaged. I got quotes from all the major repair shops. The price varied between $1300-1400. All of them were basically replacing all the damaged parts with new one. The costs of those parts was not more than $500 and rest of $800-900 was the labor costs! ABA was the first to advise against changing the parts and said all the broken parts could be fixed and I will thus be able to save a lot of money. One small part was missing and they advised me to go and see if i could find out the missing part in the ditch. I went and luckily i found out -- some $100 saved. They fixed the damaged parts and you couldn't say it ever met an accident. They charged me less than 40% of what other big shot body shops had demanded. What I liked the most was that there was a human element in their dealing with me. They cared about me and helped me save the money. I will strongly recommend taking your damaged vehicles to them. Do go to other body shops/mechanics first and get their quotes so that you can get an idea of the difference.Services: Electrical repair, Body & Trim

We worked with Brian on a Jeep for my wife and can't say enough good things about ABA. We purchased from out of state and he was kind enough to not only send me additional pictures of the vehicle, but worked with me via the phone and email in order to make sure everything went as planned. Not only was he willing to go more than the extra mile, he was also completely honest and upfront about the few issues that the vehicle had. As a professional in the auto business that has been in dealerships for 20 years, I can say that the big guys can stand to learn a few things on how to treat a customer from ABA. This is a small unassuming place, but don't let that fool you. These guys are top notch. I would consider driving almost 4 hours, and pass multiple other dealerships along the way, just to deal with these awesome people.

I've used Alex in the past and found him to be fair and reasonable. For this particular repair, he diagnosed and repaired on the same day for a very reasonable fee. Alex and Jon know their job, are respectful to customers and quote very reasonable prices. They were recommended to me by a friend and so far, I've had no cause for regret. Changed the timing belt of a previous car and also did some front end work on the current one. Timely quality service all the way.

ABA is definitely the place to go if you have something wrong with your car. I have worked with them with my first car and second car. They know what they are doing. As a person not knowing too much about cars, Alex and John are always helpful and reliable. Most importantly, the price is really reasonable. Highly recommend!!

It's really good! Especially for those people who don't know cars so much. John and Alex are really I checked my first used car at firestone, they told me if I must pay 1500 dollars to fix the problem. My friend recommended John to me, they told me what are the problems must and what are not required. I just spent a little, and 10 months has passed, my car is in really good condition!

Jon (the owner) and his mechanic (Alex) are always helpful, trustworthy, and timely with repairs. I've used them for more than 15 years now. There is no one else I trust as much in town. Jon is an engineer and Alex is highly trained mechanic for decades, these guys are the best and their price is better then anyone!!

My friend in IU law school brought me here two years ago who had lived in Bloomington for more than five years, and they never let me down. Alex and Jon know cars very well and they never recommend unnecessary maintenance to me. They don t provide air-conditioned rest area and soft sofa, but their professional skill and reasonable price are definitely more attractive. Highly recommend!

I stop to check out the owner who happens to be the machanic also an I'm totally impressed he charges by the JOB an not by the HOUR an he explains EVERYTHING that means a lot since dealerships doesn't do this an charges you by hour no matter what so in short this shop will get ALL OF MY BUSINESS from now on

Great people to deal with. Got a used Audi from them, even if it more issues than anticipated they worked on the price and were honest about it. Would recommend, but do your homework.

The guy did me a favor and fixed the rubber lining along my driver window that would've cost 100s of dollars from a dealership. However, he was very unfriendly the whole time...charged me 25 bucks for 5 mins of work and told me (in exact words): "give me 25$ and leave".

Jon is very kind, honest, and helpful. At first, I wanted a used minivan he usually does not trade. But at last, he found a good van at a very reasonal price. I saved a lot of money.

ABA keeps my old cars running. They're reasonably priced and do great work. I have been taking all of my vehicles to them for years now. I highly recommend ABA.

I use ABA for auto repair almost exclusively. I like the very practical approach that they use: they want you to spend the minimum to get your car run again. For students, ABA is the best option in my opinion.

I tried to purchase the 2000 white Subaru forester today. I came 2 weeks ago to test drive it came back today to make a purchase and at first he told me nothing was wrong with it. It was smoking under the hood after I test drove it. So I asked him what was the problem he told me nothing then told me it might be a blown gasket don't purchase from here theyll rip you off
