So, I cannot say this for EVERY Walmart auto center, but for the Bedford one, we like them a lot. They usually have competitive prices and if you're a Walmart+ member, you get a discount as well. We like getting our tires done there because we can go to any Walmart anywhere for balances, patches, and rotations. My only advice is: get there when they open. If you wait until mid-day, you'll have a long wait (as you would anywhere!).

I have had several encounters with the service department at the local Walmart & most recently inquired about a previous purchase of a battery for my BMW 135i Convertible, because I couldn t remember the exact one I purchased & was able to obtain this information from the female who pleasantly answered my phone call. She was able to provide me with the info I needed, went double check the physical inventory & able to give me additional advice on the potential purchase of a battery jumper pack. I went to Walmart later that evening, after the service department had closed & was able to locate both items we had discussed earlier that day. The reason for the four review is solely based on my previous encounters with the service department. I would have provided five for the info provided by the female staff member I spoke with on this particular day. The remaining portion of this review is based on previous purchases & experiences with the actual service done at this location. Approximately three years ago, I had to replace the battery in my 2013 BMW 135i convertible & Walmart was the only location that I could find with the battery replacement for my vehicle. However, they failed to either recognize that BMW vehicles required reprogramming the computer when installing a new replacement battery or maybe, by chance they didn t know, I ended up having to have my vehicle towed from the Bedford Walmart service department all the way to the north side of Indianapolis (costing me $400 unexpectedly) after the service guys worked for a good couple of hours, because they couldn t get my BMW to start once they replaced my battery. Of course, after the fact, I found out about the computer having to be reprogrammed, but I feel like this should have been something that any good mechanic would already know and not put a customer in the position I was put and costing me a lot of money that should have been avoided, had an experienced mechanic been working instead of someone with zero clue or experience with foreign vehicles. Had I been able to leave the proper rating for this experience, it would definitely be one or negative , but this portion of my review was from a few years ago. I have since been able to educate myself when it comes to having anything mechanical done with my vehicle. I have actually found a great source/hack that can be used to avoid going to the BMW dealership when needing a new battery or replacement & avoiding not only a unexpected towing bill, but also avoiding the $250 charged by the dealership for reprogramming the vehicle after a new battery replacement in addition to avoiding the mandatory $150 diagnostic testing fee that all BMW dealerships mandate, just to pull the vehicle into the service department at the dealership and lift the hood. I have learned through trial and error on ways to have my vehicle serviced and worked on without having to be ripped off by the dealership.A few years prior to the battery replacement incident at the Bedford Walmart Service Department and when I had a 2007 Chrysler 300 limited, I had taken the vehicle for an oil change. Luckily, my 300 had oil leak that required me to check my oil frequently or I wouldn t have known that the so called mechanic at this service department would try to pull a fast one on me, but unfortunately I encountered a situation where the mechanic broke the dipstick on my car & tried to claim that it was that way when he went to check the oil level. I m pretty sure that the fact that I m a female, he never would have suspected me to have been checking frequently & when he told me that he discovered the dipstick was broke and I immediately said that s funny, because I just checked it right before I came here to have the oil changed & the dipstick was not broken . I knew he had to been the one break it, which accidents happen, but he should have been honest, instead of trying to charge me for something he had broken himself! I spoke with the supervisor, who agreed to pay for a replacement, but my faith & trust was compromised.

Cheap tires. Pretty quick service. Although they basically stole my used tire and charged me a fee to do so even though I told them my wife wanted to use it to plant flowers in.

Took it in for an oil change, but had my name called over the intercom. They cancelled my order because there was a seal on the oil drain that they didn't want to break. They told me to take it back to the dealership for them to remove it. The problem is I've had three oil changes prior to attempting one today. So the staff was unable to do my oil change due because they didn't know how.

Very good experience. Stephanie was very knowledgeable, at least in the area I came in for, the work was done quickly and the price came in even lower than what I was quoted.

I wouldn t even give them one star if I could. Unless you buy tires from them and get them put on right after, they will screw you in every way. They are not capable of putting bigger tires on at all. They admitted they struggle with 265. If they can t get the equipment and handle tire sizes that differ from small car tires they might as well not have a business. Never go there.

Took my car to get an oil change done. It was done as expected however upon taking my car home and parked (less than 2 miles away) I noticed two flat spots on my front bumper, a large scrape and a ton of smaller scrapes. Unfortunately walmart has you sign a waiver stating walmart is not responsible for damage done to your vehicle so when they damage your vehicle you will have zero recourse. Lesson learned, never hand your car keys over to anyone especially a walmart representative.

Worse place ever! Only had 3 lug nuts on my front driver tire and two weeks later almost lost my tire while driving. 2 out of the 3 lug nuts broke off!
