Well, I've used them before and Towing has been reasonable. A couple times through AAA. Today had a 2001 farm truck lose brakes in town and the cops would not let me call IN Farm Bureau roadside or AAA because "it would take too long". Even though Mikels would have been the one that was called anyway -likely. The tow this time required some winching and the truck was in a precarious position (actually had sideswiped a house and was on a concrete wall). I understood there would be a cost to this but I did not expect almost $700. The driver, was 20. He did the best he could to avoid other cars and hurting anyone. But with the winching and the drive they might have travelled 10-15 miles. To charge almost $700 for a tow like that seemed very excessive. The driver was good but demanded pay on site (due to HQ not allowing me to pay later) or he was going to take to impound and i was 30 minutes away at the time. It was a traumatic event for the driver and me at the time and to get a charge like that just poured salt in the wound. I'm just very disappointed.Service: Car towing

The guy who helped us was very kind & helpful. They got there in a timely manner as well. I always call Mikel s when I need a towing service or a car unlocked.

Repeat customer here ( -_- ). Read Thoroughly! Mikel's is a qualified, capable, and dependable towing and recovery service. All of their drivers are personable enough, but Mikel's has started getting a bit aggressive with their pricing. Watch out! I mean, operating out of a shed in a gravel lot by the highway, their overhead should be quite low. And considering the skill and precision of their drivers, insurance should be manageable; their equipment seems to be in order etc. So how'd I end up paying $200 for 60 minutes of their time (towing a vehicle I drove onto their trailer from a paved, city parking lot)? Honestly, I do not know. It should have been an easy 150 for em, but they tacked on that extra 25% and lost 2 stars in the process... (Sorry, guys, just being real). That said, Mikel's hasn't failed me yet. But, I will be trying out a cheaper competitor next time.

Great service. Showed up quicker than expected. They forgot to email my receipt but stuff happens. Reminded them and they got right on it. recommend

Called my road side assistance company due to a dead battery. They called Mikels Towing and Recovery, the ETA was 60 minutes (they got there sooner) on Thanksgiving. Chris May was very quick, and even tested my battery for me. Great service would highly recommend them to anyone!

I was stranded on I65 somewhere near the IN/KY state line after my car's alternator decided to go kaput. It was the middle of the night on a Sunday. Long story short, my insurance company put me in contact with this towing company and they came out as quickly as they could. When they got there, the diver (I unfortunately don't remember his name, it might have been Chris) was super friendly and very proficent in his work. He also went above and beyond on the service because he not only dropped off my car at the designated shop but he also drove me to the hotel where I was going to be staying the night. Exceptional service. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend's wheel axle snapped on the road before my house. The vehicle was on the ground on one side and couldnt move. We called Mikels and they were there within 15-20 mins. The guy who came to get the car was friendly and got everything situated and got the car where my boyfriend requested it to go. Would recommend them bc it was fast and a good value!

After a fun night of camping I woke up to a flat tire in the middle of Hoosier National Forest, and Mikels came to the rescue in under an hour - they sent their technician Chris May and he did a great job, sharing some local insights with me as an out of towner. It was as painless and easy as it could be, and I'm so glad I called them rather than going with some of the other competitors who would have charged me 2x as much.

The dispatcher called me and tried to shame me for not driving 30+ minutes with a seatbelt that doesn t work after an an accident. Rude and unprofessional.

We blew a tire on SR 60 and Mikel got us back on the road in a fraction of the time it would have taken anyone else. He was super friendly and extremely helpful. I cant recommend this place enough!

Alternator went out late on a sunday night. As the only towing company available in a reasonable time they came far and took my car to my home. They parked it perfectly where I asked them to, and even jumped it enough to roll my windows up without being asked, as they dropped it off long before I managed to get back home (someone picked me up separately ) The tow guys were friendly, fast, and managed too find me with bad directions from my roadside dispatch company.Service: Car towing

Put car in wrong spot 3 houses away from mine and it got towed by city for where they dropped It. Car was inoperable to move to correct location and wanted 100.00 more dollars to move it to where it was supposed to go.

Well nice people but a bit higher than the other guys by 30 bucks and wanted a fee of 10 to haul a car across the scales at the junk yard a bit ridiculous in my opinion

Nice towman. Not sure why the car was taken to Mitchell. Their office in Bedford would have been much closer for us.
