This is a 3.5 rating in my opinion but it has to be a 3 or 4 star. Awesome host, very attentive, pleasant, polite and helpful. She is everywhere and doing everything. The campgrounds have several sites in multiple sections. I love the large fire pits. There is plenty for the children to do, basketball court included the 13 year old rated it 4 or 5 and stated it's a pretty nice playground. There are sever beanbag toss games. I believe you have to bring your own bags. I wish there was a little more effort put into the grounds themselves. Gravel on the drives going to the sites, hay/straw for areas where mud is present, fill in some of the standing water sites and have a few more full hook up pull through sites. Also, I was not happy with the location of my firepit, I felt like we were right outside our neighbors window. It was too far from the site itself and too close to the road. We had a wonderful time while we were here and this was our second visit. I was happy there were sites for all 6 families in a short time period.Update: We had a pull through site this time. The site was very spacious and the fire pit was nice. We had to pull in the other direction for the door to be on the camp side. The staff was just as friendly this trip as they have been in the past. It is obvious they are updating and upgrading the grounds. They still need to invest in adding more Gravel to some of the sites and manage the areas where the water puddles. I was planning to do a video but time got away from me. Also, know that there is also a Thousand Trails on the same property.

This is our first time at the KOA but had stayed previously in the thousand trails side last year. The KOA has level sites and plenty are shaded. We were told that there are a lot of upgrades planned for 2020 for the entire campground including site accessible Wi-Fi and a new second pool. The 600+acre combined campground is a good value when considering a lake to swim in, a nice pool, and large playgrounds for the kids. Lots of area to bike around or just walk. Very friendly staff and the campground is maintained thigh still rustic in areas. We plan to be back at least once or twice next year.

We LOVE this place! We have had short stays, long ones and everything in between. The staff we have had the pleasure to meet are so wonderful, Michelle, Jodi, Nicole and Shawn always ready to help, going above and beyond their duties to keep things running smoothly for everyone. My kids love the kiddos pool area, so do I as the entire pool area is always very clean and well kept. The ground maintenance never stops, always well manicured, never any trash anywhere. They really take great care of this place and the new shower house is so roomy! We will recommend this to anyone looking for a great, clean, family oriented place to camp in Indiana!Playground: Very clean and HUGE! NEVER ENDING FUN!Restrooms: The new restrooms and shower house are so nice and big! I normally shy away but find myself using their showers instead of my camper.Dog-friendliness: Cleanest dog park I've ever been too!

The ladies at the front counter could not have been nicer. They stayed a few minutes late when they knew my arrival time to make it easy for me. We also had to cut our trip short and we knew that a week in advance. They were very helpful with calling to make sure my credit card was credited the day that we had to cancel. Could not have been a better experience.

This was our first visit. The 2 ladies in the office were so very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the locations inside the campground. We had a pull thru site for our 43 ft toy hauler and we were able to get in & out with no problems. We will definitely be back!

This is a review for the Thousand Trails sections as well as the KOA parts. We have been coming here for years but have been away for about 6 years. This resort has improved dramatically!1. Many more TT sites with even MORE UNDER CONSTRUCTION.2. A whole new area of recreational items which include a huge children's play area, GREAT sand filled volley Ball Court, 8-10 new horseshoe pits, a full size basketball court and many paved roads have been added. This place is "hopin" on the weekends and loads of fun. NICE JOB ELS! We WILL be back!

Labor Day Weekend camping, need you say anymore? Very stressful, and loud. We booked just to get away, this camp ground is NOT for people wanting to reconnect with the outdoors. The golf cart, ATV side by side traffic is INSANE at 11pm, midnight and 1am, by only licenced drivers, "allegedly" unless 11 year olds can drive in Indiana?, but When I say insane I mean over the top flat out insane golf cart traffic, like it seems to be the only thing for campers to do is endlessly drive up and down the camp site rows. Overall, I'm not a big private camp ground camper, I'm certain there are worse, some better. We would definately go back but knowing exactly what we're are getting into. I thought the pool was adequate, visited the beach which was fine, the bathrooms were camp bathrooms and showers but also fine. The camp store had what we needed and was stocked well.....but did I mention the golf cart traffic?

We stayed here 8 days, Thousand Trails section 5 I believe, which is part of this campground newer. Was really nice! Wide paved roads, large gravel sites, nice bathhouse and laundry. We didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice. Had a good time riding our electric bikes around this large campground, enjoyed watching the golf cart parade, met some nice people, and would come back again.Playground: Kids playgroundCorn holeSand volleyballRestrooms: Our section, 5 I believe had nice newer bathrooms with showers and laundry room.Dog-friendliness: Dog parkEveryone seems to respect the leash law and clean up after petsPicnic area: Many picnic areas and tables in public areas and each site had picnic tables as well

This is a very nice campground with plenty of amenities for everyone. All the staff we met were friendly. There are two parts to this facility, with most of the park being a Thousand Trails, and a smaller section being a KOA campground. We stayed at the KOA, but had access to all of the park.... 3 pools and a lake with a beach. Many of the road were in need of pot hole repairs, and the bathrooms were a bit outdated but still usable.

We stayed here as a halfway point between East TN and the West coast of Michigan on two different weekends. First of all, this campground is HUGE in total...it shares common areas with a Thousand Trails campground as well as permanent and seasonal sites on the local lake. Because of this, there are golf carts everywhere at all hours of day and night. The fan in our camper drowned out any sounds outside, but my husband said he went out around 11:45pm and still heard people playing music while driving around their golf carts. Again, we couldn't hear it in the camper, so it didn't affect our ability to sleep...so, I'm happy to let those partiers have their party! All common areas were well maintained and clean, and even when the pool or playground were crowded, we were able to find spots to sit and the kids had plenty of places to play!We had full hookups, so I didn't use the bathhouses at all. I did use the laundry facility, and it was clean, well maintained, and the machines WORKED.... They got our clothes clean and then dry in one cycle each (this has not always been the case at campground laundry facilities). My husband said the bathhouse was clean unless you happen to go in after someone who "is nasty and doesn't know how to clean up after themselves." The shower heads spray in a really wide area, so that left a bit to be desired... But the water pressure and temperature were great. The staff was incredible throughout our whole stay! They were so friendly and helpful no matter what we needed. Our site was clean, spacious and well maintained! Overall, we would highly recommend this campground to anyone who is stopping over on a long drive or wants a fun place to spend a few days.

It has the potential to be a nice park. It needs to be updated. The roads are bad. The women's bathroom which was kinda far from our camper looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week and it is old. Husband said the men's bathroom was clean but old. The thing that really shocked us is that you have to pay for WIFI. That was incredible to us. I will never stay at this campground again. The only reason I can give this place 2 stars is because the staff was very friendly.

Nice relaxing and peaceful. The Batesville campground is very easy to get to. Staff are nice and friendly. They have events almost every weekend for the kids. Sad to see the Put-Put course removed. I hope something else will replace it.

Nice campground with good fishing. We had a spot backed up to a river and caught a few bait stealers. The biggest complaint was that it was loud and VERY Smoky. I understand campfires but it smelled like a bonfire the entire night. I would stay here again if i had to on my way to Cincinnati.

Easy in and out. Large wide open campground. We were there for the night, and enjoyed it. Playground d looked nice. Staff was friendly. Some roads and sites needed re-graded. You have to pay for wifi. No cable. A little expensive for a water electric only site.

We've been camping here few times before over the years never had an issue until today. There electric is so outdated and definitely not up to code. My 30 amp camper would kick there breaker every 20 minutes. I asked for help they were nice about it. Took awhile but a couple of people showed up changed the breaker and the plug. With no fix at all.My onboard generator got so hot from faulty wiring I am shocked it didn't catch fire it was so hot. I just hope it's not ruined being it was a $4000.00 option. Anyway on a 95F day at 10 pm with no fix my wife two young kids and my infant had enough so I asked for a refund and the person says well we could have moved you. I said so you tell me that at 10 pm? And you said at check in it was full? So disappointed packing up and heading home at 1045. It was the worst camping experience we've ever had and will NOT be returning here anytime soon.

Big spot... all but Sat night was quiet. A lot of golf carts out running around with loud partners until almost 11pm. HUGE campground. Would recommend staying to anyone.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in a 45' fifth wheel. Sites are plenty long enough, but some are very close to your neighbors. During the week it's a very nice, peaceful campground. However, during the weekend, it turns into a "spring break" type atmosphere. Verizon signal was pretty decent as well.

Kid friendly with lots of things to do. Michelle who works there was super nice and helpful. This KOA gives you access to lots of amenities on the 1,000 Trails facility, but they re kind of spread out so it s easier if you bring a golf cart or bikes to get around. Very nice and we ll be back.

The playground and activity center is nice big and well maintained. The pool is large and relaxing. They do have a separate pool for toddlers and babies which was a nice option. The site we were in are ok they are well maintained and somewhat level which is all I am looking for anyway. Thus utilities are are bit lacking functionality. For example, the sewage is a problem without support as the pipes stick out too much to make it efficient.

We've camped here a lot this summer after discovering it early May. It is a big campground with a generously sized pool, clean restrooms, multiple small ponds to fish in, as well as a big lake (WITH A SLIDE!!). There's also a very nice playground for kids with lots of different equipment! I would recommend bringing a golf cart. There's plenty of space to cruise around and check out! We haven't tried the mini golf course yet, but plan on it soon! We will definitely be back a lot more next year too!

Had the Best Relaxing Weekend staying with KOA. The park had easy parking, easy hookup and a fantastic little spot by the lake for the weekend. The host was absolutely wonderful in making sure that everything was perfect and that we had anything we needed..ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND staying with KOA(not to be confused with 1000 trails which shares the park)

VERY friendly service. Super good breakfasts on weekends. Lots of things to do for the entire family. Swimming I'm a pool with lifeguards or at the beach, boating, game room, fishing activities almost every weekend. Clean showers, laundromat, camp store & almost any service you could need, either on the grounds or within minutes of the camp.

Definitely sub-par for KOA. Not the place you want to visit for a relaxing family weekend. Bathrooms are old and not well maintained. "Quiet hours" are a joke. If you are looking to be up all night partying this is your kind of place. One of our kids is a one year old and dealing the late night drinking and hanging out right next to our camper was ridiculous. Campsites are right on top of each other and no one enforces quiet time which doesn't start til 11 pm to begin with. They also allow people to openly ride around on golf carts and ATVs while drinking from obvious alcohol containers and no one says anything. In my opinion definitely not a family and kid friendly environment. The pool was about the only positive of this campground. Roads and paths are in horrible condition. Campsites are super small.
