So I went in wanting a diagnosis on my truck cranking for a while then firing, they diagnosed it as my batteries having low voltage, I had suspicions on it so I picked it up and went and got my batteries tested and they were fine so I spent 250 dollars just for them to tell something that isn t wrong with my truck.

I had a panic attack- check engine lite. They took me right in and taken care of. Other diesel shops in the area won't even look at something for 2 weeks. Very grateful to Dave's Diesel.

NEVER go here, he's a crook and a liar. I had issues with my Jetta TDI, he replaced the starter (non OEM) and that one still squealed, I asked for a BOSCH starter he said he would replace it (under warranty he said...) but guess what, that one failed again, I had a friend take it off and we will replace it and it was NOT a BOSCH. I had a well respected technician look at it and my fly wheel is damaged now. Rick said he would not do any more work on my car and he hung up on me. Unethical and crooked business. STAY FAR AWAY from this place.

Rick was extremely friendly, answered all of my questions even when it went past closing time. Got my parts rebuilt in very good time as well. 10/10 would recommend

Had my truck there for a diagnosis. Told him I need to know what's wrong with it and not trow parts at it. Sadly i would call in and ask if he found something wrong with the truck. Had a misfire in the morning. Changed parts on it without my permission. Called me and said my truck is fixed. My diagnosis bill was $1600. Didn't fix the problem. Tried to explain to him that he wasn't supposed to throw parts on it without me knowing it and he got all mad and said he would fix the issue by me bringing the truck back so I asked him how long it would sit there b4 he'd look at it again. He got upset and told me he's done dealing with me unless I bring it back. I hate to talk bad about a business but it was not a good experience on my end and I don't want anyone else to have to go through this. Just wish he would have given me a date when he can take care of it but my guess is it would sit there for weeks. Also when I talk to the guy that was working on it said his boss never told him about the truck not starting good in the morning.

They worked on my truck and changed the ficm that didn't have a problem. Told them I wasn't paying because it was changed without my consent. Said I had 3 injectors bad had 8 changed they didn't tighten one of them. It beat the injector cup up. Also found out they didn't out my ficm back on. Someone else's. Never go there.

Dave's Diesel in Angola provided me with excellent service, excellent craftsmanship and surprising honesty. Went in for a valve adjustment on my Ram 3500 and asked them to check out the rest of the truck for any possible problems. I had recently purchased it and was not totally sure of the condition. Dave's mechanic pointed out some serious issues that would have left me stranded on the road. I transport camping trailers all over the country. They squeezed me in to get me done and on the road asap. That work however created a new oil leak that no one was aware of until after I left. I contacted Rick on Sunday and he replied on Sunday as well. He sent a truck with 2 mechanics to me (50 miles away) early Monday to diagnose the problem. It strongly appeared to be a pretty major problem so we took the truck back to the shop where it was immediately taken in. Rick said they would do their best to get the problem fixed. A few hours later Rick said my truck was done and owned up to taking responsibility for the oil leak. It was a mistake that wasn't caught at the time. No charge from Rick obviously...and I was not charged for another completely different repair. I know other shops may have taken advantage of the situation. Rick was honest and accepted full responsibility. He has gained me as a customer for as long as I have a diesel truck. Everybody makes mistakes. But not everybody is honest. Kudos to Rick at Dave's Diesel in Angola!

Great owner, friendly staff, always willing to help.First time I visited I cracked a fitting off my fuel pump. They had me back on the road in one day.Next I came in with overheating and random downshifts that a dozen shops could not figure out. They found the problem in 3 days and where able to fix some of my other problems with my truck also. They are not willing to half a$$ stuff just to make a dollar. They have fantastic pricing and the owner can and will not over charge you unlike other shops (cough mpd cough) and he will not let your truck leave unless he knows its right and good to drive.I am more than willing to drive out of my way to let these guys work on my truck because its worth knowing its going to be done right.

I am VERY pleased with the work I had done here. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and communicated with me throughout everything. They took the time to explain what they were doing and why, and also helped me make good purchase choices based on what I wanted built. I've got a truck that runs absolutely beautiful now, and I recommend them to everyone who has asked Thanks to everyone there

I took my truck into them to diagnose and repair a air in fuel issue. I specifically told them that this was on a budget and to not exceed a specific dollar amount and to stop work if they hit that limit. After 2-3 weeks I finally got the call to pick up my truck. Much to my surprise the billing amount was nearly twice budget amount! They claimed that the part at fault "fuel sending unit" was no longer available and that they fixed what I had. The truck was running so I paid the bill so I could get my keys and vowed to never return.A year later I had a similar issue and I dropped my fuel tank only to find the shotty work they did. The only parts they used were a 6" long piece of SS tubing and some epoxy. Oh and the fuel sending unit has always been available. I was lied to. I ended up fixing it myself.

Drove 100 miles to get injectors replaced on our rollback. We were recommended to come here by a friend and trusted mechanic because of the quality of their remanufactured fuel injectors. They stand behind their work and got us back to work quickly!

I called on sep 2022 to get an estimate to replace a gear box on my 2006 Duramax the guy that answered the phone couldn t help me out and I was told they will give me a call back the day after which as of now am still waiting on tha call 5 months later so I called again on feb 13 to get an estimate to replace a oil cooler once again the guy that answered the phone couldn t help me out and was told they will call me in a little bit they never did so I called back on the 14 to see if they had my estimate ready the guy that answered the phone he told me that Do you think you the only customer? I said if you guys are busy I understand that so I can take my business somewhere else and they hang up on me which is very rude you don t do that I will never ever do any business with Dave dielsels in Angola they don t know how to talk to customers and are rude over the phone

If I could give negative stars, I would. Rick Smith has had our tractor for a year and half and won t return it. He s made numerous promises and never kept one of them and refuses to respond to any of our communications. We are seeking legal action. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

Place is a joke! Charged me for parts im pretty sure they didnt even replace. Took my truck in to have it diagnosed. They told me it needed injectors only to find out that wasnt the problem. I ended up with a bill for $900 that didnt even give me the proper diagnosis. Had to take it to ford to get it properly diagnosed and the few parts they charged me for were WAY overpriced. Dont waist your money! They are a rip off!

Was quoted $800 for assembling an engine straight from a machine shop. Ended up with a bill if $2600 in labor, over pressurized the oil system exploding the oil cooler dumping oil into coolent on start up. Did nothing to fix it, 4500 miles after engine was built it broke the cam, trashed the whole engine.

Would not recommend this place. They do good work but take forever... In the last year they had our truck in the shop longer then we had it in our garage.

Horrible customer service. Keeps telling me my truck will be done in a week every week for the last 6 months. Seems like a shop that has no pride or professionalism in what they do.

They ordered tubes that we fabricated, and NEVER picked them up or PAID for them....don't trust them. (From Tube Fabricators, Burr Oak Mi)
