Despite a small hiccup with the appointment system where my sister's vehicle was scheduled instead of mine I was quickly served with someone who quickly fixed my vehicle's issue. It was a very quick and fluid process and I wish all my car issues were fixed as smoothly as this one was!

I had a nail in my tire I called and they said come on over and they will check it. Unfortunately the nail was in a spot that a patch wouldn't work. She went and checked and did not have a tire for me. So I ended up going somewhere else. However she was very nice and helpful. I will definitely keep them in mind the next time I need a tire.

I used this place once & although they were very over priced (which I found out later) I payed. The work was good, so credit where credit is due. But the last 4 times I have tried to take my car back there for repairs the lady or man behind the counter always have some reason as to why they cant not fix or look at my car. Its always they are backed up, a mechanic did come in to work today, all the mechanics are working on engines or transmissions, the mechanics are all rebuilding engines or some other super time consuming task that will not allow them to look at or fix my car. The 1st time i went back after my initial visit & was given some wild excuse I thought ok things do get backed up or happen & I went some where else. The 2nd time I went back after my initial visit & was given some some wild excuse I thought to myself WOW Ok another day I go & all of your mechanics are super busy. The 3rd time I went after my initial visit & was once again given some wild excuse & hit with one of our mechanics did come into to work today. At this time my wife & I were super tired of all the wild excuses especially when all you see in their parking lot is mechanic cars & 2 other cars that belong to the people behind the counter. All of which we found out by talking/interacting with the workers at this place of business on our initial visit. My last olive branch to this horrible place was 3 days ago. I took my car in & wouldnt you know it the lady behind the counter once again gave my wife & I the same wild excuse of mechanics are all busy with engine repairs & transmission work & wouldnt be able to look at my car until sometime in the 1st week of January. I tired & tried with this place to make sure before I wrote this review that I gave them every chance, for almost a year, cause I brought my car back here each time with months in between visits. This place is a joke, I will never return & I will never recommend this place to anyone. If anyone asks me about this place I will always give them a horrible review & tell said person to take their car to another mechanic.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance, Battery

Not trustworthy! Had an oil change on thursday. Saturday night my car stop . Had it towed the other mechanic put it on the computer and the reading was to check oil filter. It wasn't a new filter and wasn't placed in correctly.

Stopped in this morning with no appointment after hearing a rattling from my exhaust on my way to work. First time going there, they took a look at my car right away and had me out of there within an hour. The receptionist was super nice, the turn around time was quick, the cost was low and the communication was great. I had yet to choose a mechanic local to me since moving to Zion but I know I will be bringing my car back in the future for regular maintenance.

Being new to the area includes finding someone new to repair and maintain our vehicles who is fair, reasonable, trustworthy and good. I needed the serpentine belt replaced in my Jeep before it gave out and caused a whole lot of expensive problems. I called NW Auto and asked for a rough estimate of the cost. Liked what I heard and they gave me an appointment for the next morning. I dropped my Jeep off and they had it ready earlier than promised and the cost was exactly what they told me over the phone. Everyone was very friendly as well. We found our new repair shop on the first try!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I cannot stress enough how truly awesome this place is. Everything about it is first class, from the front desk to the mechanics, its peace of mind knowing your getting honest and top notch service! I have recently moved out of state, and I am dreading knowing that I will need a new mechanic. They are very understanding with your problem and repairs. They let you know if other problems exist. If you still have a problem after having service done they listen and try to fine it. There prices aren't any higher then other places and they warranty the work. Everything I had done was done the same day.I recommend Northwest to everyone they know what they are doing been in business for years.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I have been coming here for over10 years!! love the punch card for oil changes as I've gotten a few free ones in the past. also love that most of the time i dint need an appointment to get an oil change. Mariska is always helpful in mentioning ads if they are available. they have always been honest & fair to me which means more than getting a cheaper deal. my whole family comes here now!

Initially I read the reviews and decided to form my own opinion of them. I dropped my truck off a day ago for a diagnosis test for 160$ well the guy call today and says yeah we have to run more test that will have me at a total of 400$ I said hell no put my car down I said what was the point of the diagnosis test it didn't make since I now have formed an opinion that they are scamming and taking advantage of people in a time of need and help all I need to know was what was wrong with my car that's the point of a diagnosis test and then he tried to tell me my total was 200 and something dollars I said no you guys told me 160$ I'm not paying 200 and something dollars buyer and people please don't give them any business they are a waste of time and money

I've trusted Northwest Auto for all my repair needs for over a decade. They cost a little more than some places, but I've never had to bring my vehicles back in due to shoddy work. Highly recommended!

I went through a construction site and got two flats and made it to Northwest Auto and Tire. They took care of my vehicle right away and were very courteous and friendly. They have also helped me out with keeping my son's cars in good running condition. Very reasonable rates!

Took my kids truck there for an alignment they didn't even write up an estimate. They just put a bunch of nonsense that was not all true and told me to pick it up even though they wrote the vehicle should not be driven. All the while it drove just fine when we bought it 3 days prior to taking it to them and looking it over knowing what was good and what was bad. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO BACK.

Called for an estimate, very pricey. All I'm saying is there are a lot of other places in the area that can do the same job for a lot less. Being in service for 40 some years doesn't mean a thing. I love it when these shops brag about the years they've been serving the community. It actually makes me sick.

I had a bad experience with them, after having been a loyal customer. I found them very short with me and could care less that I left empty handed when I needed some help removing the lug nuts on my car. Lug nuts they put on with a new set tires 3 years ago. To be fair I was a walk in and was under the impression it would quick, easy with the right tools, and free of charge. Skip the owner contacted me after I left and explained they were busy that Friday afternoon, but agreed I should not have been sent away without an offer of an appointment to give me some help. In the end it turned out to be true it took only a few minutes when I finally got the help, and because of everything Skip said "no charge". If you have an issue with NWA staff ask to speak to Skip, if its reasonably within his power to correct the situation he will. NWA is a honest and quality shop which are hard to find, so I will go back NWA even after this small mishap.

If you're having problems with your car and it brought it somewhere else. Take it to Northwest 1st and get it done right the first time. Known skip 4 years and Mariska knows the ends and outs of the car repair business and is a great person

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. I would advise to stay away from them. They're very short with you and act as if they could care less whether they get your business or not. Your best bet is to look somewhere else.***WARNING: Beware of the high ratings. I'm sure it's company employees posting those because multiple people I've spoken with that have dealt with them say exactly what are in the negative ratings.***

GREAT WORK! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! PUNCTUAL!!Id recommend this place to anyone looking for quality workmanship and great customer service. Some would say they are a little on the pricey side but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. And i could tell you all about that. Came here because sears auto center in gurnee messed up my alighnment to the point my brand new tires wore down on the insides. Mind you the alihgnment and tires were done less than a year ago. So after getting the run around at sears and being told my warranty ran out i decided to try someone local. Looked at all the reviews and i wasnt dissapointed. Booked an appointment,told them we needed the car back by noon and i got it back by 11am done and ready to go! Even gave me a print out of the measurments on the alighnment showing what it was like before and after. Very pleased!

My wife and I have been customers at this shop for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. They employ highly trained technicians and the rates are very reasonable. I have never thought that they were trying to "upsell" me on anything (i.e., they don't try to sell parts you don't need). My wife feels comfortable coming to this shop alone and has always been treated well by the staff. Being a "computer geek" I appreciate the fact they they always have the latest equipment (this is important since nearly every car now has a computer onboard).

Very poor and rude phone etiquette. I would never spend my dollars here. I did not hang up on the guy. He was so short and bothered that like he was rushing me off the phone. I was calling for help, why would I hang up.? That's the problem with Zion, it has the potential to be great, but it's still so divided.

I have taken all of my cars, even when,they were new, to NWA for the last thirty years. They are second to none, and they now service all six of my cars. The owner and his employess are very customer conscious and I highly recommend them
