We were extremely lucky with scheduling today another consecutive day in the frigid cold with Low Battery warnings on our Mini Cooper S. Found this business through a Mini enthusiast website gave them a call, and they were able to help us same day with a new battery & all the necessary coding needed. Extremely courteous, super knowledgeable about all German makes & models after a couple of nice conversations. Based on the research we did, we saved several hundred dollars by having the battery replaced + coding done at Star European. They were kind enough to fill my car s tires with air too, and near closing time. Based on the quality of service, we will for sure be back. Thank you again Star European!

We purchased a car from here a year ago and it has be NOTHING but problems. We get it's used. But it was also supposed to be inspected. No issues to be reported when they sold it to us. We were told we had a 6 month warranty, but what wasn't explained is we still had to pay for parts and get a discount on labor. Lesson learned there. But in that 6 month warranty period we have had thousands of dollars of repairs. The most recent is a headlight that they "fixed" for $1,500, which should also now be warrantied. It is out again and now they are saying take it somewhere else because they tried. So they will not stand behind their warranty?

Efficient & professional service for my SLK300. Star European is like dealing with family. Highly recommended. My most recent visit was no exception. Star European is a gem. If you love your car as I do, Star is the only place to go.So the first paragraph was written three years ago. Time flies, but what doesn't fly and what's always there is great service and care by Jon and the team at Star European. Time and time again, the crew is willing to help with trivial things such as tire pressure to the critical care necessary to keep my treasure on the road and running smoothly. Star European truly goes above and beyond. The sales process was straightforward and the owner Spencer was able to personally offer a ride to pick me up from the airport. Pricing was fair and the car was in immaculate condition. Well worth the trip to Yorkville!

I did not buy my car from Star, but Jonathan detected a problem when he was a passenger. Simply riding in my car for 5 minutes, he detected the seriously dangerous issue. I thought I selected the wrong tires from a tire place; hated them from the beginning; and simply turned up the music to drone out the noise. However, from the rapid urgency to fix the issue; quickness; obtaining the right part; price; and my smooth ride I now enjoy - I highly recommend Star and its team! Thank you to everyone!

Ever since I bought my first Benz about a year and a half ago (1998 SLK), these gentleman kept my car feeling as brand new as you possibly could for such an old car. I've never once felt cheated in pricing, and I'm lucky they're close by to support all my car needs. There will never be a different place I'll go to. We've been taking our Mercedes Benz here for over 4 years. The first time they felt the blend door behind the dash was stuck, causing heat to come out of the vents instead of AC. We were warned it was a big job, labor intensive. The tech instead did something with the cotrols, the door became unstuck, no charge. Still works fine. Been coming here ever since. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the lot, these guys know Mercedes.

When I first came here for service I had a great experience and the older man (I assume he might be the owner) told me they run a deal Saturday mornings for single mothers for a 75$ oil change. So when the time came I called them up to see if they still had the promotion and they did. Great so I show up and get my oil change and to have my car looked at in general because a couple service lights had popped up on my dash. A younger gentlemen with blonde/brown hair whom I was greeted with when I arrived told me that one of the service men broke off a tire stem while checking the pressure and they were going to replace it for free (because theybroke it). That s fine. Then he comes back and we are discussing a missing tire pressure sensor which I was aware about and how much it would be to fix and as I m getting ready to tell them to go ahead and fix that as well he tells me I have 300+ bill when he quoted me at 75 for the oil and gas 150 for the new sensor including labor (he gave me a discount on the part he said) and I asked him how that added to over 300 and he says oh yeah I wasn t able to replace the stem (that they broke) because the part was more expensive then they thought. Not only that but they charged me for re balancing the wheel, etc (I will post my bill where they added a ton of things that they only had to do BECAUSE THEY BROKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE) and the owner (older Caucasian man) said that yeah they broke it but I could have broken it off while trying to put air in myself and then I would have gotten a flat tire. Yeah I could have broken it but I didn t. They did. I could have busted the tire or got into an accident but those are all hypotheticals and I m not getting charged to fix my car or anything so how does that work. So I went in for 80 serve and I ended paying almost 150$. For. Something. THEY. Admitted. To. Breaking. After telling me they would take care of it. Do not go here they were slow that morning and I m sure are just trying to make a quick dollar and don t take responsibility. Oh and he told me I would receive acoupon in the mail for next time I need their services(which they send out after every service). Yeah I m good.They also said my car looked good and I didn t need anything else but they didn t have the decency to reset my warning lights. It stills says my service is passed due and to check my brakes. I m not coming back and I will push everyone I know to avoid this place as well.

They have serviced my 1999 SL500 for the last ten years. Owning an older car like that is not cheap, but I feel that Star Mercedes charges reasonable prices, they are very knowledgeable and everybody always takes time to answer questions and/or give advice. Very different and much better than other service places. They always give it a personal touch, which is appreciated.

we bought our E Class over 3 years ago and have had no issues and the one we had is a warranty problem that has to to to a Mercedes OEM dealership. I love going out to this place and looking at all the Mercedes collection of stuff. the folks are all friendly and nice and I feel really honest about what they do.

As ALWAYS the service was excellent! Everything was done as promised and done correctly and better yet the prices are far better than if I were to have the work done at a Mercedes Benz dealership! I like that I can talk to the guy working on my car, ask questions and get answers firsthand from the person working on the car, rather than through a spokesperson! I will be back!

Solid shop. Honest and easy to deal with. Our Mercedes Sprinter diesel motorhome started popping a low fuel rail pressure code on a cross country trip around the Iowa/Illinois border. It didn t go into full limp home mode for the problem but it was only capable of about 60mph tops on I-80 and it didn t want to climb the meager Illinois hills above 40mph. We live in California and were traveling to see family in Yorkville. Suffice to say we got to our destination okay but had to get the issue fixed. I looked on Google for Mercedes service and Star European popped up. I called and spoke with the manager, John. Great guy! Logical, knew immediately the most probable cause (fuel filter) and after learning our situation (we were sleeping in the motorhome!) agreed to wedge us in for a filter change that afternoon. Just zero problems. Had us fixed in less than an hour, road tested the repair, cleared the codes, great work. Just got home tonight after climbing up and down the Rocky Mountains with zero problems. I recommend these folks without reservation.

Only gave this place 2 stars because Spencer, the salesman, seemed nice. Perhaps my experience overal would have been a lot better with someone who is more experienced. I purchased a vehicle back in July 17, I paid extra so I can get specialty vanity plates. It took about 2 months before I found out he never processed the paperwork for new registration at the DMV. Finally after almost 4 months I finally get my plates on the mail to find out they weren t what I had asked for. I notify him to see if they will atleast reimburse the extra money I paid for the plates, and of course they refused to do so. Like I said he seemed like a nice guy but I wouldn t do business with him again.

I would like to say, of all the vehicles I have purchased and had shipped to me, the 2004 Pontiac GTO I recently bought from Spencer at Star European Imports is by far the worst I have ever seen. I will be in the car a few thousand more just to pass PA state inspection and emissions. Here is a list of safety issues that SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISCLOSED during the time of sale, or atleast repaired prior to sale:- Horn inop (fuse had been pulled due to it randomly going off while driving due to a faulty clock spring)- Fog lights and cornering lights inop (wiring issue, needs to be repaired to pass state inspection)- Tires need replaced (Front ones are old/beyond dryrotted and separating, rears are bald)- Catalytic converters are missing and straight pipes have been installed (will not pass state emissions)- Clock spring needs replaced to allow proper horn function- Coolant leak- Deep scratches/gouges in the front bumper fascia and on the passenger quarter panel (Spencer said there was no major scratches, dents, damage, etc when I asked about it on our phone call)- Radio volume knob not working (cannot be repaired, whole unit needs replaced)I trusted that buying from a dealership I would not have dealt with such dishonesty and that the SAFETY ISSUES would have been atleast disclosed. There is no excuse to sell an unsafe vehicle to anyone, and the dealership had the vehicle on their lot over 60 days which was plenty of time to fix the issues. Buyer beware, Spencer and Star European Imports lives up to the shyster "used car salespeople" stereotype.

Visited this shop first time on 3/20/21 and was very satisfied with the service and value of work performed. Spencer was kind and it was a pleasure to meet Bella the shop dog.Will be back for a full brake job soon.

Talkes to them on the phone while I was at work. Was able to quickly drive there after I got off and have a new key for my 1999 e300 ordered within 10 minutes. Very polite and very nice establishment.

Absolutely terrible experience! These people are not to be trusted. They talk smooth, bate you in, and then when something goes wrong (yes, we ended up with a Lemon from them) they snake out of all responsibility.DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!

I couldn't be happier with the service I received. I could not have asked for better service. The Mercedes Benz dealerships just lost a customer. John answered every question I had and more. They worked around my hectic schedule and didn't try and waste my time with unneeded service. If you own a Mercedes you've gotta check them out.

sometimes in life mere words just cannot describe an incredible experience i have never experienced service anywhere like i do at Star John Fred and John's son all over the top in making the service for my 2002 E 320 wagon amazing as if it was a model 20 yrs newer and i always get a loaner car i mean its incredible and i bring the loaner to a hand car wash place where its like a mini detail i treat the loaner as it if were my own and it is until i pick up my wagon its a great place
