Horrible experience! Brought my boat in for engine repair and was told it had a SEVERE engine case leak. I was told initially it was going to be $800-$1100 to repair. As our conversation went on, the price kept changing and was told it would be $1500 ??? All in the same phone conversation. It was suggested to sell my motor to the owner for $400 because it was just to old of a boat/motor to put that type of time and money into. Also, the owner said all his employees were leaving to Kentucky and he didn t know how long it was going to take to repair. I was then offered a engine that a friend had for sale for an ridiculous price. I requested my boat back, got charged $60 for the labor of misdiagnosing the motor and took it to someone who actually knew what they were talking about. The problem was the fuel pump, a dirty carburetor and fuel lines. There was not a case leak on the motor!!! The boat runs perfectly now. I hope the owner reads this review but I m sure it won t phase him because it didn t phase him when he tried to scam me. No wonder all your employees left!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

The axle on our boat trailer broke on the interstate one afternoon. Dan with DC Marine Service was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was quick to get the job done efficiently and cost effectively as well. He followed up with me on numerous occasions as well to let me know the status of the repairs. Excellent customer service through the entire process and great to work with. I would highly recommend this company.

Two brothers run the business and are very good and fast at getting things accomplished. I ran my pontoon into something july 3rd destroying my lower unit. Called around several places and surprisingly Dan said he could get me going quickly and he has. Dropped off on a Thursday and he coordinated with my insurance tore it down and had things going on friday. Dan even insisted to insurance company only using new parts which is the only correct way to do the repair. If you find yourself needing a repair and dont wanna lose the short season we have give them a call!!! Thanks guys.

Dam is by far the best mechanic and has so much pride in what he does. Better then any and all dealer mechanics in Illinois.
