Your shop does incredible work. Had my driver seat repaired on my Mustang Convertible. It looks just like a new seat was installed. Great customer service and very fair price $150. I will recommend you to everyone I know. I give ALL THE CREDIT TO MY WIFE NANCY for finding out about UNIVERSAL UPHOLSTERY

We used Universal Upholstering to move some heavy furniture, not upholstering. They were responsive when I called and showed up on time. Did a great job disassembling and reassembling the pieces. Fair prices for the area.

I contacted Universal through a referral. They were accommodating and Technician Serge was sent out to our home and was very professional. Our couch is a three seater that suddenly stop reclining and would not recline back down fully a few weeks back. Serge was here no longer than 45 minutes and was able to fix the issue. Thank you so very much! My pups are happy too. I will definitely use them again in the future. So awesome!

They do excellent work. Had a wing chair recovered and before that they made some custom cushions for a vintage wrought-iron loveseat. Highly recommend. Excellent workmanship and quality! I m very happy with how everything turned out.

I highly recommend Universal Upholstery. Our experience was positive from start to finish. They reupholstered six antique dining room chairs for us and replaced the foam. The quality of the work was outstanding. We live in the city of Chicago, so their location is a bit out of the way, but they picked up and delivered the chairs and the whole job was done at a very reasonable price.

I was quoted 120.00 for ONE dining room chair seat. No work on the wood part and I had my own piece of foam. Literally they do not want my business. I think that is outrageous. I will never recommend them.

I have a leather La-Z-Boy reclining love seat in which the seat cushions collapsed after 6 years of use. After two nice fellows picked it up, I went to the store to select the new foam that would be installed. The owner offered several types with varying firmness and made sure I was satisfied with my selection.About a week later I received a call advising me that it was ready and was asked to return to the store to be sure everything acceptable. The owner again asked me to be sure I was pleased with firmness. I stated I was very happy and two other nice fellows brought it back to my home.Bottom line: The craftsmanship was perfect, the price was reasonable, and the seats feel better than the original. I'll definitely use this company again. Thanks for doing such a great job, Universal Upholstery!

I wanted a custom tufted sectional made for me. I emailed them the measurements, etc... I then called a few days later to get an estimate. The guy who answered the phone told me it'll be around $4000.00. A few hundred less if the back isn't tufted. So after waiting about a week later for a firm estimate... I was told it will be $7000.00...needless to say I was stunned. I would've been OK even if it was $5000 but $7,000 is way off the initial edit I'm ate. How can someone work at a company be that wrong. This rating has nothing to with their quality of work just about their professionalism. My search continues. the back wasn't tufted.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting 3 employees of Universal upholstery. They are Eugene, Audrey and Sergei. All 3 have wonderful personal service skills, which gave me a comforting effect in knowing their business. Sergei explained the repairs needed in detail with total clarity. I don t feel like this company properly communicates. They charged me a missed apt fee. I had to reschedule due to COVID, but never confirmed a new apt, and never received any confirmation about that apt, yet I was still charged a fee. When they were able to come back out, I was told the service I needed wasn t under warranty, which wasn t their fault, but then also told me there was a $55 service call fee which I was never told about. I won t be coming back and will work with someone else for our furniture needs.

Universal Upholstering did an outstanding job with two oversized upholstered chairs. My wife and I very very happy with the quality and craftsmanship. The team is customer focused, listened to our requests and delivered. Couldn't be more satisfied. The entire staff is top notch. By the way the owner is hands on and cares about your satisfaction.

A friend of mine sent me to this place so I can get my Bike s seat restored . I was skeptical the seat can be restored to a decent shape but Leon exceeded my expectation and done an outstanding job. Detailed, good quality and matched all the original stitching to a point it s better than the original. I m glad I found this place. Thanks Leon , I m speechless.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. I had a repair claim submitted by Domicile Furniture on 10/20/2020. I did not receive a call to schedule until February 4, 2021. I was told the very first available appointment was on 2/19 between 9am-12pm. No one showed up during this time, so I called and was informed the technician was not able to make it. They had me reschedule for the next day between 11-2pm. Again no one showed up and I was informed the technician was running late and would call me 30 mins before arriving. I am still waiting on a call. I do not appreciate people wasting my time. If I ran my business this way, I would not be in business.

I was driving by and was looking for a upholstering store when I stumbled on Universal Upholstering. I was greeted by Leon who's really an old school type and I found it quite refreshing. I never reupholstered anything so I was out of my element. He got me to focus, proceeded with swatches, and then saved me $$ when what I decided on was already in store. Therefore, no expense in having to order the swatch. The installation was perfect, the service was excellent and the cost was very reasonable. I would, without doubt, patronize Universal again.

This place was highly recommended by my friend. Had a chair to be reupholstered in leather. Dealt directly with the owner and he walked me through the process step by step, showed me a lot of leather samples. Also, gave me tips on how to take care of the leather and make it last longer. Very knowledgeable gentleman. I am happy with my decision to do this project at Universal and would recommend to do any furniture upholstery at this place.

We couldn't be happier with the reuphostery of our sling type patio furniture. We sent pictures of our furniture to four local stores and received estimates. Universal was the lowest. We visited and selected a fabric we liked from Universal's wide selection. Although the job was estimated to take three weeks, it was completed in five days. The quality of reupholstery was outstanding! The manager and staff were courteous, professional and helpful including helping me load the furniture into my van. We highly recommend Universal!!

I had 2 occasional chairs, 2 club chairs and a large sofa re-upholstered by Universal Upholstey. They have a wonderful selection of fabrics which made the process of finding just what I was looking for so much easier! Leon was a great help pulling fabrics for me and has a great sense of color!! I had gotten several estimates from other upholstery companies and Universal was the most reasonable. Universal went out of their way to keep costs down which I was so very impressed with!! Everything that I had upholstered came out beautiful and was done on a very timely basis. I will definitely be coming back to have some other items re-upholstered!! Thank you Universal Upholstery!!

Brought in my triumph motorcycle seat for an estimate, the vinal cover was separating from the pan and needed to be stretched and reattached. Not a difficult repair but it needed to be completed before riding season was in full swing.To my surprise the expert staff asked me to wait 5 Minutes, he came back with a repaired seat!Awesome and totally unexpected.Best of all they didn't charge a fortune.

I sent the manufacturer s photo of 3 dining chairs i wanted to re-upholster and was told $65 for the back and $ 35 for the seat over the phone and that work could be done within 2 weeks. I asked whether it could be done within 11 days and was told i would have to talk to the boss when i got to the shop. I arrived at the shop within 90 min and the boss came out to look at the chair which was obviously brand new and wrapped for protection. He proceeded to walk around the chair back and forth in deep contemplation for several minutes prompting me to ask if this was an unusually complicated job to which he promptly responded no. He then told me $180It appears that since these were new chairs he decided that i could and would pay almost double to have them done. I told him I would go up to $125 since he could have them ready by the date i needed. He countered at 160I left and will take my business elsewhere rather than support this type of dishonest business practice. Customer Beware.

I took a picture of a cigarette burn on the front passenger seat in my new car and sent it in to get a free estimate. Someone named Leo replied to me via email and instead of an estimate I got questions, which I would not have minded giving more information, but he was very short and rude. I answered his questions anyway, but still have not heard back from him and that was a week ago. I asked for another estimate, re-sent the picture and explained how rude Leo was. I have not gotten a response of any kind from this place and it's been 4 days, they're automated response says they'll get back to you within 48 hours. Lost my business... I'll go somewhere else where the employees are nice and they actually get back to you. How hard is it to email an estimate??

I was referred to Universal Upholstering by a friend of mine. We wanted to get a custom made bed. The price we were given was amazing and the bed turned out to be exactly what we wanted. It took a bit of time but it was way worth it. Thank you so much :) Highly recommended!!

After speaking on the phone to a courteous employee about a bolt I needed for furniture, I brought the bolt to the store where the same employee took the sample and went into their office. While I was waiting, a rude guy aggressively asked why I was there. I told him his colleague took my sample into the office. He countered that no one was in the office. After his colleague came back out, he told me it was a special bolt from suppliers who would not talk to me, so he would have to order it for me. He then placed a thick catalog in front of me, expecting me to look it up. Evidently, I just didn't look right to this guy. Maybe the attitude needs to be "upholstered".

They were great! I went in to get a buckle replaced on a backpack that was stitched on. I was having trouble finding a place that would do it and they helped out no questions asked. They took it right in back and within 5 minutes the job was done. Excellent work and great service!

Went to get a quote to get a steering wheel cover sew. The guy I talked to looked at the item and said it's useless to do it with this. Instead do it with leather. Either way it will cost $500 to do it because it's going to take 2 days to do it. What a joke. I have done my research and it does not take no more than an hour to do it. This place is a joke.

I had 12 chairs for re-caning and reupholstering. Both jobs were beautifully done by Leon. It is so difficult to find somebody who knows the art of caning and Leon is the man. Thank you so much, will be back.

Great job on the 2nd row pax seat of a 2016 SuburbanQuick too so I can get my car back on the road to earn me money. Will use again and recommend
