Took in a set of old motorcycle cylinders and pistons to get inspected an honed. I was told that they needed to be bored out to oversize since the cylinders were out of round. I was not given any measurements/data. The correct oversize pistons were provided, but it seems like they were not used for measuring piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance. After 200 miles on the rebuilt engine, I had piston skirt and cylinder wall scuffing, and may have run the risk of seizing the engine. I had to take apart the top end and send it to a vintage motorcycle specialist to do the job right.

Brought in a heavily scratched 72 minibike cylinder. They honed it clean. Just drove it around the neighborhood for the first time since I was a kid! Thank you!

I called back after having wheel bearings and hubs installed into 2 Honda spindles, realizing the bearings were backwards. John was very understanding about the situation. The previous owner installed them backwards, which is an easy mistake as they look almost the same on both sides. John took care of it, no problem.Advance earned a customer and future referrals. I had a broken bolt with no head and a ton of lock-tite in the flywheel of my harley. After talking with a few shops I decided to take it here to have it extracted based off of his confidence, track record, and genuine good attitude. I had already broke two drill bits attempting to do it myself and if he wasnt able to get the bolt out I would have been buying a new engine. Thankfully he was able to get the bolt out without removing the engine from the bike and in under 2 hours. The price was very reasonable, especially for what it could have been. Hopefully I wont need hes services in the future, but if another bolt breaks I will not hesitate to come back to advanced engine rebuilders.

Have used them twice now. Both times the work was perfect, on time, and as quoted. Can't ask for much more than that. Will continue to use this machine shop.

Advanced engine rebuilders the name says it all and they are super great they really don't know how to rebuild an engine so it lasts a long long time I can't say enough good things about them need your motor work done bring it to them
