The pricing is outstanding they have one of the most competitive price points for labor in the whole DuPage county. I brought my white 1999 Chevy Silverado there for a transmission replacement and water pump hoses power steering pump replacement and alternator. they were outstanding the price was cheaper than anybody else I could ever find I'm going to keep going to them no matter what because they're they hit it with the quality and the services.

Have come to GF Auto about three times now. Everything from the customer service to the quality of the work has always been good. They are transparent and let you know how long everything will take. They also charge fair prices and made me feel like the actually cared. Would recommend.

I recently brought my car in to have the breaks done, not only did they take care of it while I was out of town but they did it for $200.00 LESS then what the dealership quoted me!!!!!!!! Looks like I found my mechanic!!! Yosef is honest and straightforward, that s all you can ask for but then he saved me $200 Bucks on top of it!!!!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GF Auto!

A perfect job done by Yoseph!My starter broke, Yoseph told me it had already been replaced once, yet he s so honest he suggested I check its warranty (even though he would not be paid for the work.)AAA on Roosevelt Rd did the work 2yrs 5mos ago. The warranty expired at 2yrs, yet they didn t offer even an apology!2 starters in less than 2 1/2 years?Yoseph installed a new rebuilt starter the same day! The next day, he even dropped it off at my house.Always professional, always kind and honest.I will always come back to GF!

Honest, excellent mechanics. I have over 120k on my car, and it needed a fair amount of work beyond routine maintenance. They did a fantastic job, and my car runs like it did the day I bought it new!****Highly recommend GF Auto Repair****

Just to be clear GF dies great mechanical with at a reasonable price. They can do this because they keep their overhead low. Nothing fancy just great work

High character, honest and patient. Yosef is super patient and articulate in explaining the problem and solution. He took time out of his busy schedule to call my sister and patiently explain the issues he noticed on a pre purchase inspection. I'm extremely detail oriented but Yosef pointed out how the bumper had been repainted and the dealer was covering up a previous accident. Take cars to Yosef for a pre purchase inspection. Extremely thorough and detailed service for a ridiculously low rate. Upstanding business--pretty rare for a mechanic! Thank you for your help Yosef and Yemane.

This guy is the man! He's always fast and reasonably priced, but I went in there with an emergency fix about an hour before close. I needed the car repaired before going out of town the next day. He got it done in no time and still charged a more than fair price. I offered to pay extra for the rush, but he didn't take it. I can't say enough about this place.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been coming to GF Auto for years, and I can GUARANTEE that you will never find a more honest and up front repair shop on Earth. Just good people, who can fix just about anything, and will NEVER rip you off. I can t recommend Yosef and Yemane more, just solid people that you can trust. I consider these guys friends after all these years. I thank God for the fact that they ve kept me able to get to my job over 40 miles away for a decade now. I have taken my cars to GF Auto for several years now, and are always happy with the service, the price, and the results.Most of all, I am always happy with the honesty. I have had several other "mechanics" in the area try various rip-off techniques with me... Midas will cause damage, just so they can charge to fix it. Bartells took over an hour just to do an oil change, and when I checked on them, they had my car in pieces, and told me I needed over $2000 in exhaust repairs, and also new brakes.GF fixed that exhaust problem for about $100, and my brakes were fine.I trust GF Auto absolutely. You should too.

Really nice people, came here to get my car inspected for lyft/uber and they checked the car completely and made sure where I needed improvements they told me. Gonna go back there again to have my car fixed up wherever I will need it. Reliable and honest people...

The only shop around the area that helped me out with an oil change, little thing but the owner was calling me back to help me out like it was a major repair. Great guy! I asked him to check the car, we found few minor things, he never called to push me to have it fixed. I called one day he ordered the part, car was fixed right away for fair $$$. I will be back there for sure with my both cars and will recommend to all my friends. I never leave opinions on this thing but in this case I felt I need to share my experience! A+++

They are my mechanic for 3 years already. Always satisfied with their services and price . Yosef is really respectful and professional mechanic. Highly recommend. I've never been one to trust a mechanic, usually doing the work myself with my dad. I've always seen them as slimey, untrustworthy, and looking for a quick buck (especially off a young girl who doesn't know the most in the world about cars...). Yoseph has completely changed my perspective on that. He's such a sweet dude and is genuinely looking out for what's best for you and your wallet. I cannot stress this enough. He's really willing to take his time with the process to ensure what needs to be done, without replacing unnecessary parts. Every time I see him, he's got a big ole smile on his face and he's ready to take on whatever issue you can throw at him. I can tell he loves what he does and his work ethic is through the roof, it clearly shows even upon first meeting him. Will be calling him again in the future :) My car is falling apart faster than I can even diagnose the issues hehe. Anyways, 1000% recommend taking your car to his shop for any fixing up you may need. You will not be disappointed.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Yosef has a true gift for car repairs. Multiple times, I have been quoted a high price for parts and labor at other establishments, then taken my car to GF Auto and been utterly shocked by the high quality and reasonable cost of the repair. I can t speak highly enough about Yosef s work and feel incredibly grateful to be able to trust a mechanic to this extent. I recommend GF Auto constantly. Thank you all again!!

I had to replace my alternate and battery yesterday. As the lead mechanic was testing the alternator and battery he noticed that the oil cap was barely hanging over the oil fill resivour. I lost a lot of oil. I had the oil changed back in July and had my timing belt and water pump changed just a few weeks ago. Before you released it back to me, you should have made 150% sure everything was right. I could have had my engine lock up and had to get a new engine. My car should not have taken 13 days to be fixed. I will not be back anytime soon. You could have caused me lots of money. You should reimburse me for part of my car rental expenses. You can respond to this review via my email. The shop I had the battery and alternator purchased from said it would have taken them 1-1.5 days .

The work I recently had done At GF was done as great as it's always is. I don't know much about cars and suvs but I know someone who does. The team at Gf is my know how I don't have to worry about any things when they're are in control of my SUV. Yemane and your team many Thanks Andrea

I had my vehicle inspected for Uber and Lyft. The service was adequate, but I found the message on the video screen, "God is Faithful", to be extremely offensive.
