Was traveling for work and I want to say that the price was fair but when my job changed locations, staff refused a refund for my last two days and refused to print a receipt. When I asked why, they acted like they no longer spoke english.Room and bathroom were filled with broken pieces and furniture and everything was in a depressingly need of a cleaning. The front desk staff was an entire family who acted like the guests were unwelcomed.If any review says anything good about this hotel, it is lie or paid for review.

The people at check in were very nice and quick to check us in. But the rooms need fixing. For $73 (total including taxes/fees) I guess we shouldn't expect much.Rooms: Mold in grout, no drain plug in tub, shower head was disgusting, smoke alarm hanging from ceiling, stains on walls everywhere, light switches sometimes worked, or made scary noises.

Pros - Front desk staff friendly and laid back. Cheap hotel.Cons - Old building and showing signs of heavy wear. Stains on sheets/walls, towel rack hanging loose.Breakfast buffet placed out was 2 small cinnamon rolls, 1 muffin, apples, cereal/milk, and a waffle maker. Batter dispenser needed cleaned really bad so skipped.Owners were obviously doing everything possible to cut cost. Probably need more business. location not good enough to renovate it seems.You get what you pay for here.

The front desk clerk was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable but the pillowcases were a little yellowed, making us FEEL like the bedding wasn't too clean (although it smelled clean and fresh). Our room and washroom were clean (although a little outdated), the TV was decent, and the room was nice. There was a breakfast with make-your-own waffles, muffins, toast, coffee, juice, etc but there were no forks and no one around to ask for more. Even so, overall, this place is okay for the price.

This hotel needs updating, chair was turning. Not a handicap room. Had a tub with a chair to put into tub for handicap person. Should be a roll into the shower.Very low grade hotel.Rooms: Thire is nothing around at this hotel location. Needs updating not handicap friendly.Nearby activities: Their are none.Walkability: Not anything to walk too.Noteworthy details: This hotel is not handicap friendly.

I felt a little guilty arriving later than 10, but the gentleman was very prompt to arrive and give me keys, and access to a nearby room on the ground floor! This is especially appreciated when carrying a large instrument. Amenities were basic, just as needed. It s the ideal place to stop and go. Location is also perfect. We will come again.

I arrived a little after midnight and had to use the indoor phone to get someone to come so I could rent a room. it took me 3 times to get someone to come as I was about to leave.the guy at the desk was very rude and hard to understand. The room I stayed in smelled musky. it seems clean but definitely needs an update. The beds feel like your sleeping on a rock so was very hard to sleep on. the 2 towels only was also a downfall due to me being a woman and needing 2 towels myself for my hair and my body. I will definitely not stay here again. I was even told to stay here by my mom who I came to help.Nexttime I will go to a better place farther away.

All the Comforts of Home? Noisy People On floor above until 1am. With Added Talking Noise in Hallway outside room. And Nostalgic Trains Every 15 Minutes (Secretly I Like:). Paper thin Walls as Well as Bed Covers so Used Lap blankets from car:) Heater Loud and Drying. ***Big Pro: Bed Was Surprisingly Very Comfortable!***Found deal online got for about $63ish without tax and thats The Value of this Motel in my Opinion..Oh Also no big thrills at Breakfast but that s no biggie for Us we don t eat during travel:) Overall if You re Needing a Place to Rest this Motel Right of Highway Nestled in the Farm fields where there is a Gas station, Burger King , Subway, Even a Bar/Mexican Restaurant next door that s It;):)xoxox

My husband & I stayed here last weekend. Other than the breakfast bar being closed, due to covid, we enjoyed our stay immensely! The room's were clean & planned out well with everything we needed. The A/C kept us very cool & the TV had clear channels to watch while there. It was, also, quiet & we had tables & chairs to sit & eat at in our room, as we had a fridge & microwave for convenience. I would highly recommend this hotel for the above reasons, plus of the location off of I-39 & the price was great! There was a restaurant & a gas station close by that we frequented. The manager was very polite, accommodating & friendly. We will be back!

Really nice hotel, with a surprisingly reasonable price. We spent 3 nights in the whirl pool room on a mini vacation and couldn't be more happy. Super clean rooms, well maintained, and comfortable bed/pillows. The manager was very nice as well. If we're in the area again, we have a favorite hotel to stop at again, thank you very much!

Terrible. The front desk person was cold and difficult to understand. The room itself was incredibly musty and bad smelling. The carpet, sheets, pillows, and towels, were all tangibly damp. I wouldn t be surprised if there was mold somewhere. It was difficult to sleep because of the dampness and the bad smell. Now it was visibly clean, but the smell was so nasty that it felt dirty. It also looked like the entire place needs to be remodeled. Wouldn t stay here again.

It had wall, a roof and a toilet. Nothing fancy as I'd give a nice Best Western 3 stars. From what I could tell the sheets and linens were kept up with. I'm not sure if the offer much of a continental breakfast other than dry cereal and milk. Maybe it's lovely with a waffle maker and stacks of bacon and one of the juice and milk machine. Judging by the community around the hotel I'm betting they don't. The gas station across the street doesn't sell my cigarettes and for some reason the Shell was closed. I thought they stayed open 24/7. I could use a job but didn't see a help wanted sign. Then I'd also be in Wenona and I'd want like an $11 differential just because of that fact alone. They would get it back as well or they could fire me.

It's very clean, and I very much enjoyed my stay. It's a nice place. The only concern I had was that there was banging on the walls from time to time, which was a little unsettling. I'm not sure what that was, but I would certainly still consider my stay a positive experience.

Accomodations are adequate for an overnight stay..but nothing more. Attendant was disheveled albeit polite. I was able to stay with my yorkie in the room for a small additional fee.I found the room to be somewhat dated but clean. Disappointed with my king bed only in that the blanket was very minimalist and would have been inadequate if not for the very effective in-room heating/cooling unit.Proximity to nearby attractions is somewhat remote. I would recommend this location for travelers who may have few options due to having a very nearby destination.

My fianc� and I ended up stranded in Wenona due to our car rental breaking down. After driving for 12hrs & feeling stressed out we checked into this little hotel which took us by surprise. It was comfortable & quiet. Not bad for a spot in the middle of nowhere Illinois. They even have waffles for breakfast. & for the person complaining about curry powder, you suck! My partner and I thought whatever was being cooked smelled great. We had a good time here.

This is a nice motel for the price. We were looking for a place about 11 pm at night to stop. The room was clean and basic. There was a smell of Indian food in the morning on the 2nd floor as we were leaving. We missed the continental breakfast so I don't have comment about it.

This was our only hotel choice in the area sadly. When we arrived we think a drug deal was going on and the guy tried to follow us in since he didnt have a card. When we got back from our event, there was a rock in the door to allow people in who did not have cards. Smelled like an animal was rotting throughout the entire hotel. Someone in our group went to the gas station and bought febreeze right away. The lobby and halls did not have A/C so the continental breakfast was iffy. The waffles tasted fine, i just tried not to look at the waffle maker too much while preparing it. Very dirty sheets and bed spread. Blanket had a burn whole in it. I would not recommend staying here.
