Larry [owner] has great turn around time! They will bend over backwards to help you! And theyve done several transmissions for my family and I. Highly recommend!

My car was in an car accident. Excellent communication between the mechanic and I and he gave me a great price. I needed a lot of work done to my car and he fixed everything. My last experience with them was horrible. I no longer recommend them. The staff was very rude and unprofessional. All I wanted was my questions to be answered and to be treated with respect but they made me feel embarrassed. Things were better when Larry was in charged. Had my car brought in today for a broken axle and they fixed it right away. Originally thought it was the transmission but Larry helped us figure out over the phone that it was in fact the axle. Very nice and helpful, will definitely be bringing my car back for future needs. Answered all of our questions and explained everything to us. Seems like a great local, family shop. Great service and prices. Would definitely recommend.

I haven't actually had my car serviced there, but I had planned on going there by recommendation of a coworker. When I called and told Larry (I believe the owner) about my car problems he referred me to another shop that specialized in exhaust problems due to the fact that they would be able to do it for cheaper. I felt this represented their integrity as he easily could have just over charged me for the work I needed. Would definitely go there for other work.

I will always remember to take my car for transmission done. The owner is a very nice person and help resolve the issue. A few weeks ago I have my 2010 toyota corolla done there and overall I was very happy and satisfied. Thank you very much to Ripley Automotive.

ABSOLUTELY HELPFUL!!I had looked at other local shops to repair an electrical problem and seemed to have been bothered by the fact that I even called for information. But Larry and the staff at Ripley's seemed much more willing to help with my problem and were transparent about their pricing. Definitely appreciate the honesty, willingness to assist and the quality of work.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Larry and his crew have always been very fair and honest in every repair I have had done there.He will bend over backwards to get you back on the road. Everyone there is helpful and friendly.They will take care of you.

Received parts and service days ahead of schedule!! Very fair and honest pricing. They even diagnosed and fixed a bearing in a universal joint at no extra cost or bother. Literal days ahead of schedule. These guys are professionals that treat you like family!!

Inquired about some work I needed on my 2002 Subaru. They got back in a quick fashion and recommended another business close by (jr mufflers) more specific to my needs. That place was great, with speedy, quality, and affordable service. I really appreciated the honest assessment from ripley and the great recommendation. There is a good network of auto repair shops here in the waukegan and gurnee area I know I can trust now. Should the occasion arise, I will definitely utilize ripley for any relevant services.

Outstanding service, quality work, GREAT PRICES! They beat another estimate from another near by shop by 20% with a faster turnaround time. I have found the only shop I will go to when I don't have the time or tools to do it myself.

I have had transmission service (repair) along with front-end repair. Ripley provides a competent and professional services. I recommend this business to all friends and family members.I feel that all other repair shops should follow Ripley's lead in this matter, keep up the professional service for the continued future.

I Called for a brake estimate, the Man that answered the phone was rude and didn't want to be bothered. He was supposed to call me back on a Tuesday because he claimed he had to call around for the parts, This place isn't too fond of black people, I'm telling all my family and friends don't go to this shop!!!

Experienced mechanics who know what they are doing. Costs are slightly higher for labor but it's worth it. Best mechanics in Waukegan.
