I needed my vehicle inspected and serviced in order to pass emissions. Bob got me in the shop right away and provided fast service. He was able to identify the problem and fix it immediately. He went above and beyond riding with me to the nearby emissions facility to get my profile unlocked at the facility when the state delayed the process over the phone and got the car to pass, all at a fair price! I highly recommend Bob! He s the best state certified emissions repair man in town! Thank you so much, Bob!

Took my car to 3 different mechanics and neither of them could figure out why my car was running lean. I took it to Bob, and he figured it out and got my car to pass emissions! He's the best mechanic I know in the area. He really knows what he's doing, and he takes the time to explain exactly what's wrong with the car. Fantastic experience! Thanks again Bob!

I read all the reviews but I was still skeptical. I do most all of my own mechanic work but could not figure out this one to pass my emissions. I lived close by Bob picked me up and dropped me off while he fixed the truck. Then called me to tell me My emissions was passed! Yes he passed my emissions. And then came and picked me up again to get the vehicle! I was in need to renew my registration and Bob came through. I appreciate the quick efficient repair. And the phenomenal customer service. Well done Bob! Thank you

I had an emergency today and Bob was able to provide a great service. He was busy and still found time to help me even though I was not scheduled. Bob is very knowledgeable and honest. His work ethic makes him No#1 in Waukegan! 10/10 I will definitely recommend his shop to my friends and family.

Definitely worth checking out if you have car issues! I was returning home from a convention, a 10 hour drive ahead of me, and i had issues with my tires. They were able to get me in, work on the car, and out the same night, even went forth and stayed after hours. I still feel bad about interrupting their plans but they definitely satisfied with the customer service. And again thank you!

Bob is extremely professional and very knowledgeable, he took care of us regarding our F150 that wouldn't pass emmisions in Wisconsin. We purchased the truck from my son who bought it in El Paso, Texas, while he was active dieuty in the Army. Bob took the truck to Wisconsin after he fixed what was wrong and had it tested and passed. Thank you Bob, you gave just earned us as loyal customers.

Hands down the best mechanic experience I've ever had. I highly recommend him. Raymond Chevrolet gave me 2 wrong diagnoses and charged me 600$ just to look at it. The quote was over 9,500$. Bob took a look at it, had a diagnosis within 3 hours of me dropping it off, and repaired it within 24 hours. I will be back for all my needs. Give him a call!!! You won't be disappointed.

Bob was great to work with. I live in Fox Lake and there are several repair shops between here and there. I heard his commercials on WIIL and decided to see if he could fix the issue since my regular mechanic couldn't figure it out. He got my car to pass emissions and was able to fix the problem. I will definitely go back if/when my car has any other issues.

I called Bobs garage to set up an appointment to drop my car off after multiple DIY attempts to reset my monitors to pass emission. Bob not only walked me through the test over the phone, he saved me the trip to IL and the diagnosis & monitor reset fee! He fixed my problem over the phone, was so courteous & professional! Bob, you are AMAZING!!! THE BEST!!! My girl, Maximus Grace, passed emissions and is back to enjoying her freedom to fly & feel the curves of the road! Changing review, because this was not the place I thought it was. I did have an experience with Bob's garage, and it was a pretty good one. Years ago I had a Ford focus that couldn't pass emissions, and I took it to this place, and he ran it to emissions, and it past on the first try after he fixed it. I apologize for the last review, it was not accurate to this mechanic shop.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Bob and his team are awesome! Truck needed to have intake manifold replaced (dealer said) in order to pass emissions but it s been on national backorder for over a year. Bob worked his magic and was able to get my intake manifold working and helped me pass emissions.Definitely will be taking all vehicles here from now on!

My check engine light was on and needed to pass emissions. I took my car to Bob's garage. Not only did he properly diagnose the problem, fixed it and got it to pass emissions. I have a '02 Ford Taurus that would not pass emissions. My son took it to Bob's Garage. The car is literally on its last wheels. Not only were they able to fix the car. It also passed the emissions test. As a note: When Mr. Bob says "it passed emissions," you do not need to go to emissions, he did that for you already! Nice people, friendly service. This a great place for your car repair needs . I found Bob to be very personable and easy to communicate with . He understood how important my car is to me and was able to fix it and put me back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. This is the place to go for all car repairs but especially for emission problems ,look at their ratings . On a personal note theses guys are my hero s I can t find the right words to express my thanks I really thought I might have to purchase a new used car and that s something I wasn t ready to do . Very thorough, professional communication of issues and services. The silver portion of the trim was repainted during the window/ lock control switch repair. Thanks Bob it looks great, too bad I didn't have a before picture. So again, many thanks for exceeding my expectations with your thorough attention to detail, and also running the truck through the emissions testing facility. I didn't even know I was overdue. The Rustoleum paint matched well, thanks for choosing my employers brand, very nice how this all came together. You got a customer for life.

After my car gave me a reducing engine power, I had to have it towed. Bob was able to check out got my car and got the part the same day and had my car done before I got off work that day. And you could not beat his pricing. Definitely worth it and will and have already recommended him to others.

I had an excellent experience taking my car in to Bob at Bob's Garage. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to, making the usual ordeal of taking your car in for repairs feel much more relaxed than it would have in a less friendly environment. Beyond that, the service was speedy considering how many different vehicles were being repaired at once, and his taking it into emissions testing for me saved me the hassle of doing it myself. My car has never run better, and I wouldn't hesitate to bring it back to Bob again should any other issue arise.

Was going to get charged $150 at the dealer for an airbag code. Did a Google search on good mechanics in the area, and Bob's Garage Inc showed up. Gave him a call to schedule an appointment, and in 10 minutes he was able to calibrate my passenger occupancy sensor. He was kind, and very honest. I just found a new mechanic. I will never go anywhere else. My car would not pass emissions and we thought it wouldn t, but Bob got it to pass without costing me a fortune. Thank you Bob. He was great! He explained everything to me and was very honest. The communication was great. Bob and Gary really take good of the customers.

Bob s Garage did an amazing job fixing my 1986 Jeep Comanche truck. It s been a week since I picked it up from the shop and the truck is working like brand new. The owner Bob is very friendly and responsive to messages. He updated me throughout the entire process and gave me several options to get my car fixed. He s very knowledgeable and was able to fix my truck in a short amount of time. I highly recommend this shop.

After failed attempts at passing emissions, I took my car to Bob. He gave me on the spot service, ran diagnostics, and made sure my car passed emissions!! Very honest guy, definitely recommend him and will be back for maintenance!

I've been to many different machines in my life but Bob by far is the best! He did what needed to be done and didn't tell me I needed more then what I did. I was so frustrated with the Illinois Air Team Emission system and process and given run-around by other mechanic shops. I was on the tight budget and time was an issue. Bob's Garage was very knowledgeable about the whole process and helped me pass the emissions with care and professional demeanor. I will be back in the future for more services as needed.

After hearing many good things from friends about Bobs garage, I recently had them add a new rear end axle and fixed an Air intake manifold leak on my 2002 Suburban.. It was completed in a very timely manor and done correctly the FIRST time!! They were not overpriced and you really do get what you pay for.. Knowledgeable expert service.. I could not ask for anything more... I would highly recommend Bob's garage for any service to your vehicle.. Thanks Bobs Garage.. My suburban drives great now!!
