Exceptional auto repair shop located right off Rt 12 in Wauconda. I ve had everything done from oil changes, to tires, brakes, to aftermarket Jeep mods, to larger mechanical issues diagnosed and repaired all with honesty and competitive prices. My highest five star recommendation for Lamp Automotive!

Can't say enough about the team of professionals at Lamps Automotive. Especially the mechanic(s) which has a personal relationship with my challenging 15-year-old truck. No task is too small or large. Maintenance upkeep is not easy to keep up. Although capable, money is well spent for a shop capable of quality work. They take the task head on, with some choice words, I'm sure along the way on my truck. Lol� Hopefully the truck out lives the parts and/or my daughter driving it. He probably shouldn't have my daughter diagnosing problems, though. I greatly appreciate all they've done making sure my daughter (and i) have a safe vehicle to drive. Highly recommend. Thanks for the great service!

We ve been going to Lamp for years now. Always a great experience (on 4 of our different cars now). Excellent work and great customer service. Prices are very fair and they take the time to explain their estimate and work in detail. I highly recommend Lamp Automotive.

Lamp Automotive is my new favorite autocare shop. I called about some grinding sound on my brakes and Jason picked up right away and offered for me to bring my car in a day later in the morning. He called me by midday with the estimate and after I agreed, he had it fixed same day before 3PM. Fast, professional, fair-priced, and local. I will use them again.

Had an awesome experience bringing in my Tesla Model 3 for a tire replacement off of tire rack. While a little more expensive than some places, Lamp Automotive was professional, courteous, and was able to complete the service even faster than estimated (which I appreciated, as I was waiting in the lobby). The work was done flawlessly and I'm super satisfied.

Havent even brought my car in and called just for advice. Dude that I talked to was so genuine and gave me a honest answer. No "uhhhh" in his answers, just straight up knew what he was talking about. I'm definitely thinking about bringing my car here in the future.

Everyone here is always so polite, and courteous. I have never felt ripped off here. Whenever my car is finished getting repairs, they always request something else that it WILL need later, which is ALWAYS helpful. OH MY GOD, I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN. This is the best mechanic shop there is. Prove me wrong. From Jason talking to me on the phone and in person, I could tell my car was going into experienced and caring hands. They did a great job and they left me with notes on future repairs and showed me diagnostics and graphs and things lol. I've never felt so taken care of by a mechanic before.

This is the best auto shop that I've ever been too. They always offer multiple options to fix any problem you have. Very friendly staff. The mechanics are highly skilled and get the work done in a very timely manner.Definitely an A+++ in my book

You can count on this place. No worrying about if they are being honest about your car repair. I am a divorced, single grandmother. Lamp automotive has helped me many times with car repairs...engine stuff and car exterior stuff. I also have just called for advice since I know nothing about cars. Family run business with integrity. So great to know I can trust Lamp Automotive. Single grandmas like me on a budget need a knowledgeable, trustworthy car repair place like this. Thank you guys!!!

I have an older model car and would rather do business with independent shops than a crooked dealership. But it's very hard to find a good honest shop these days. This shop is excellent. Upfront, honest, well kept shop, organized and offer really fair prices. I did some comparisons with a previous shop I worked with in the past, I wish I had known about this one a couple years ago so I could have gotten my car's brake maintenance performed by them.

I've been a loyal customer going on ten years to this shop. They said I would need a new engine for my car. They diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote on a new engine and were just waiting on me to give the word. They were pricy so I looked around. Turns out I didn't need a new engine. So I saved over 7 grand getting a second opinion and going elsewhere. Just be weary and if you have doubts, get a second opinion. Have three thousand plus miles on my car on the "blown engine"

I initially was unhappy with our service but called and discussed with the owner. He was very understanding and listened to my complaints. We were able to resolve our issue and I am grateful for their customer service. During our conversations I never once felt like they didn't care which is rare to find these days in a service environment. I am happy with the outcome.

The folks down at Lamp are pretty nice and seem knowledgeable. The work they've done has been good and finished when they said it would be finished. I feel like they're a little pricy and they've never really knocked my socks off with anything. Maybe I'm just a tough grader.

Been there5-6 times. Prices seem pretty high. Other problems seem to happen when I get it back. Just didn't have a good feeling about them.
