After searching for a fair price for the rear brakes of an SUV, I finally found John's Complete Auto Service. I called there, spoke to Mark, who was incredibly kind, and told me to bring it in that day. When I arrived, he gave me a ballpark estimate of what it would cost to replace all the brakes (front and back). Mark called me in the afternoon and said only the rear brakes needed to be fixed and would have it ready for me to pickup a few hours. When I arrived he pointed out some other issues that we may want to look at getting fixed. There was no pressure or guilt to do the recommended repairs they found, but rather someone just looking out. I will definitely be back here with any repair needs I have in the future.

This is the best and most honest shop in the area. I've trusted them with all of my vehicles for years and have never been disappointed.I had a 2011 Dodge Durango that the rear heat would not work. Antioch Dodge had my car for over a month, even claimed that they had a technician fly in from Chrysler, could not fix it. John's had it fixed in a day. They have saved me time and money.

Friendly, great bench side manner, confirmed my issues, solved my issues, paid a fair price, fixed 2 extra items at no charge. (Win!) I couldn t be happier. Recommended if you don t know who to trust.

Moved to Wauconda three years ago and hadn't needed a mechanic in that time. Needed a radiator replacement recently and brought my car to John's and Mark and company fixed the problem at a very reasonable rate and in a very timely manner. They even will arrange a loaner if you can schedule it. I highly recommend John's Complete Auto if you want quality service, affordable pricing and great communication. They'll get all my business moving forward. And I just bought a second vehicle!

Great honest mechanic! Very affordable, my car is always ready faster than I expect, and they never try to upsell me things I don t need. A couple years ago they replaced my cracked drive shaft and worked directly with my insurance adjuster so all I had to do was drop my car off, pay the bill, and wait for Progressive to reimburse me for everything minus the deductible. I ve been a fan of John s ever since!

Dropped daughter s car here for brakes and oil change. First class service, great result, and EXCELLENT communication when they struck unexpected issues. They did everything they could to get the car back to us when we needed it. Thanks!

This shop consists of honest, efficient and straight-shooting mechanics who do great work at a reasonable cost. Their parking lot is always overflowing with vehicles so that s an obvious testament to their popularity. Specifically, I want to share here that the tailpipe from my muffler fell off and I pulled into the nearest mechanic I could find. They told me I needed a brand new muffler installed. I ve had a lot of good work done at John s so next I took my car there. The mechanic inspected my muffler and said I don t need a whole new muffler, that the exhaust system will run just fine without a tailpipe. And he didn t charge me a dime for putting the car up on the lift and inspecting it. Also, this was not the first time John s has not charged me for their time and expertise. I will continue to be a loyal customer here and highly recommend John s.

Mark and his crew are incredible. I've had repairs and simple oil changes done on my cars, my kids cars and even my mother's car. I can't imagine going anyplace else.They are honest, thorough and timely. They are always willing to help, even you just need a little in your air tire. I highly recommend John's Complete Auto Service for your vehicle needs.

Mark did a great job getting to know the details of my car's problems, and then clearly communicating a plan to address them. There were opportunities for him to upsell me on services I didn't need, but he was honest and stuck to the appropriate scope of work. For me, craftsmanship and honesty are the most important qualities of a good mechanic and Mark ticks both boxes. The pricing was reasonable and he even called two days later to follow up and make sure my car was performing as expected. This is definitely a shop worth trying if you're looking for a new mechanic.

I came to John's a couple times. They always do good service work for me on my little Mazda 3. No BS not too expensive compared to corporate automotive services like Firestone.They don't always give a loaner out but if you get in early enough you can get one.

This place's professionalism is still the best and yet they make you feel like you are part of their family. The owner is one of the best I have seen in the auto repair business. I am completely happy with John's Complete Auto Service being my only repair service company for any vehicle. The prices honesty quality are all outstanding. Honest mechanics are hard to find. If you're looking for one... these are your guys! Always receive excellent service and they are honest people that really do take care of you. Extremely fair with the pricing and always take the time to explain what's wrong instead of just throwing parts at it and ripping you off like most other places do.Great mechanics and Mark the owner is a really good guy. I've been coming here for 3+ years after being referred here by everyone in my neighborhood. I highly recommend John's for all your car service needs. I won't trust anyone else with my car.

So far so good. I have been to this mechanic a few times for scheduled maintenance and also did a break job. The prices are very fair and the service is friendly. It's best if you can drop your car off and pickup the next day.I have over 20 years driving experience and taking my cars to different mechanics and even dealerships for repairs, so I know how the industry is with looking for opportunities to offer services not needed or nickel and dime for small work. I don't get any of that at this place.

Mark Wolfe at Johns Automotive is a great guy who I trust 100% with providing a fair price and beyond quality work. I ve been going there for about 5 years and anything they ve fixed has stayed fixed! They can handle anything from installing a new transmission to changing oil. I wouldn t feel as safe in my car if I went anywhere else because Mark and his guys in the shop do such a noticeably incredible job! Thank you everyone at Johns Automotive!

Only place I would ever go. Totally trust Mark and his crew. Honest and stand behind their work. Mark has helped all my friends and family in our town. He truly cares and is the nicest guy. I had a problem with a coolant leak and he called the BMW dealer to see if it was still under warranty. Saved me thousands of $.
