The oil light in my car kept coming on and going off. I was aware my car was burning oil already. I had just gotten off work, and was trying to drive somewhere quick to get an oil change and have my car looked at. It was already 25 minutes after six, and I started calling local instant oil change facilities. I was in Dupo traveling to my hometown of Waterloo Illinois. As I was traveling down I-255, I called the Waterloo Illinois Valvoline to make sure that I could still come in for an oil change being that it would be 10 minutes from closing time before I could get there (6:50 pm). I had spoken to a nice young lady, who took it upon herself to call the Waterloo location to make sure that there would be someone there to help me. Fortunately, she advised me that there would be no wait, and that they were expecting me. I arrived at 6:53 PM, got right in, and was treated very kindly. I even got the, Glad You made it, I was expecting you. This comment made me feel like nothing else mattered in the world, but me. I instantly felt welcomed, seen, and heard. What a wonderful crew you have working at the Waterloo Valvoline instant oil change facility. Of course, it was in my hometown of Waterloo, where I felt the most comfortable, surrounded by warmth, and grace

Valvoline Instant Oil Change put 2 1/2 quarts to much oil in my 2020 Buick!!! Which caused major problems. $525.00 to be exact! And hopefully no future problems! And they will not make it right. DENYING FAULT. They didn t offer to refund my $90 oil change. Bad business valvoline!! Train your employees!!!! we have spent over $600 a year to this business, on oil changes. Really hard to support local businesses when this happens.

I got to vavoline @ 2:05PM and waited until 2:40PM to even be moved into the garage (no one approached me while waiting to check me in and be sure they had what i needed) there was one car ahead of me which sat in there for 35+minutes (the time i waited) and once they brought me into the garage no one still approached me . I waited 5 minutes for someone to approach me and still no one did but 3 employees sat at another car talking .I then asked how much longer until they would be able to start on my car and they then told me another 5-10 minutes.very frustrating considering I have always had a great and QUICK experience at other vavolines ( thats is the reason I go) I understand sometimes things to do not get done in the 15 minute window they advertise but at least a heads up would have been helpful before I sat waiting 35 minutes (wouldve been 45) just to get my oil change started with ONE car ahead of me (the car that was being worked on. No one apologized o troed to make the situation better at all. This location gets a 1 star for me due to the employees work ethic.

Took my Fleet vehicle to Valvoline in Waterloo today to get an oil change. They usually ask me what I would like done but since the Fleet company showed a tire rotation needed, they took it upon themselves to add that to the list without my knowledge.When they asked me to step out so they could do the rotation, I told them I didn't want one this time. The acting manager Tony relayed through the gentleman helping me, that they are dictated by the Fleet company what they must complete.If Tony would have come talked to me personally, I could have shared that the tires were new and have less than 10k miles on them.When they brought the receipt with the tire rotation on it, I told them I did not want it. The manager, from across the room stated, "then he can just leave, it isn't his money anyway."If this is how Valvoline up sells their services, I will not be back.Service: Oil change

Have had my oil changed there in a few of my vehicles over the years when it was Speed Lube and was always happy with the service and price. Had my oil changed on August 16th. Drove from Waterloo to STL to see my mom (20-25 miles), got on JB Bridge and lost engine compression, black smoke exited the exhaust. Pulled over to the nearest exit (Koch Rd) to check out the situation. Black smoke was coming up from underneath, the smell of burning oil was apparent. Had towed back to Valvoline that night ($200 out of pocket) only to be told that my radiator had a crack/leak. Not the case with loss of engine compression. The truck did not overheat nor did the radiator steam when I pulled over. Tow driver seen fresh oil leaked. Now I have a truck that is inoperable because of a blown engine.Service: Oil change

So thankful I stopped by for my oil change and tire rotation. Jake and his crew gave me 5 star service. They helped me with getting my cap unstuck on my fluids as well as tightening my battery cables for me. In addition I finally got my oil changed after 2 weeks of not being able to get in to other places due to lack of staffing. I m not returning to my previous place for oil changes after coming here. Great prices, super efficient and super nice employees. I wish I could have tipped them! Thanks so much

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would!! The employees I talked to over an issue they caused, was absolutely horrendous! Every time I called, I was told that I d receive a call back or that their manager wasn t in. I never received any call backs and never spoke to the actual store manager. I had to be the one to reach back out every time in order to get an update on a resolution to our situation. The employee that sort of explained the next steps , I believe his name was Josh, had the snarkiest tone and there s nothing I can do about it now attitude. He would cut me off when I tried asking questions and it was overall a terrible and rude experience. I requested to get the customer service number, as he would not let me talk/would just repeat himself and I couldn t see the conversation going anywhere. I have never had to contact customer service about anything, up until this situation. And after reading other reviews/hearing other people s experiences with this location, I m honestly not surprised. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.Service: Oil change

Been a customer at this location for 25 years. Last oil change they didn t attach my skid plate correctly and ended up damaging my radiator. Their response is that I must have hit something a couple days after my oil change! Cost me close to 1000 dollars to fix. They wouldn t even give me a coupon. I normally don t write reviews but I had the best experience here! I was in to get an oil change and when you have to turn your car off for the service Joshua let me go inside with my three month old in the AC and he took care of my car for me, Joshua was amazing every step of the way I totally recommend him!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

The oil change was great they rang it upset my 50% coupon on it and then I had to have a filter which is $54.99 off that because they said they used the coupon. I told them to avoid it out and ring it up again and take 50% off my 94.00++but no only got 50% off on the oil change... I am from Tennessee so I was up in Illinois they're disappointed because the 50% didn't come off... Entire bill

My change oil lights came on a few thousand miles early. The folks at Valvoline let me know it was too soon for a change but they went through an inspection and topped off all of my fluids for free.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Great place to go. They're fast friendly and thorough! They don't try to sell you things for your car but if you need something for your car they will show you why and leave it up to you without being pushy. I recommend them to everyone.

I waited in line for over an hour with just one car in front of me. Then when I get in the bay the attendant Kayla was aggressive and extremely rude and was talking negatively about another customer. I have been coming here for years and never received such poor service. Dylan was very helpful and you could tell he was embarrassed by his co workers poor customer service.Service: Oil change

Put me in line behind a car that didn t move and multiple people in the other lane came and went. Come to find out they had to run to the auto parts store to get supplies for the car in front of me. Over priced compared to all shops in Columbia Illinois including the old Columbia Valvoline and the dealership. Even with a coupon for $25 off it was still higher than any other oil change place I have brought my car too. Would not recommend.

So glad to have. Valvoline Oil Change facility in Waterloo. It wasn't exactly instant....but there was a line of cars, which is a good thing for them! Once I was in, it was pretty fast. I didn't interact much with the workers (as to be expected), but they seemed nice.

I came in last Friday and waited an hour for service, not a big deal. After I left, I received a phone call the next day that they forgot to put a plastic piece back on. Well it ended up being the big plastic cover that covers my engine. Not only that but they also found the cap for my oil fill laying in the engine compartment. Completely unacceptable!Service: Oil change

I have been using this location for years under a variety of owners and now that its valvoline, the full service oil change that was under $40, now cost me $80.66. This was without the power steering fluid that i needed because they didn't have any that was compatible with my 06 Mazda tribute. I was charged $67 for 6 quarts of valvoline oil that i can purchase for under $20 for five quarts at wal mart or Amazon. Will not return.Service: Oil change

My go-to for regular car maintenance and oil changes! I never feel pressured to pay more for additional services or that I need things fixed on my car that don t need to be! 10/10 recommend!

I would not recommend this place. They stripped my drain plug and put in some butterfly part and my car keeps leaking oil. I will not recommend them to anyone! they have no clue what they are doing nor do they take accountabilityService: Oil changeService: Oil change
