Brought in my 2007 F-150 earlier this month because it was making a horrendous clunking noise, but also to replace spark plugs which for this specific truck they are notoriously known for breaking, which leads to an even greater headache/cost. After a month of running my truck she sounds/runs like a beaut'!FYI: They reported that due to their mastery and diligent process zero of the sparks broke! Thank you so very much and will bring all my vehicles here in the future and would recommend Keith and Joe to everyone/anyone!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I had never been to Mr. Jim's, but Joe Beckett over her saved the day for me. I was on the way to a work appointment when my car started smoking. Unsure of the cause, I pulled over at the Speedway across the street (Route 59, four lane highway). I popped my hood and saw fluid all over the engine compartment - oil or coolant, TBD. I ended up calling Mr. Jim's (exclusively due to proximity) and Joe offered to walk across 59 to come take a look at my car and confirm it was safe for me to drive over (it was determined to be a coolant leak). He offered the best route to get to the shop and I was on my way (engine overheating and all). The front of the shop was clean, the back area was organized, and I didn't feel unwelcome for a minute. They took my car in almost immediately after arrival and less than five hours later I received a call that the necessary parts were replaced, everything was cleaned up, and I could come grab my car. They absolutely could have gouged me (I was quite literally stranded) but I felt the price was fair for what needed to be done and they took great care of my vehicle. Making it to Mr. Jim's for regular maintenance would be a stretch for me (given that I live four towns over), but I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the Warrenville/Naperville/Aurora area.

The Toyota dealership told us we needed a new engine so we asked Mr. Jim s for a second opinion. It turns out we did not need a new engine at all. We left Mr. Jim s with a car that was running perfectly for half the quoted price of the dealership. Not only that, but we were also treated with respect and transparency at every step of the process! Have to say will be using this place from now on for automotive repair. Wife and I have had both our cars there and things have been fair and they are very informative on what's happening with your car. I can't say enough how they have taken care of us for repairs needed for our cars. This last time, they fixed something a previous repair shop did a rather poor job with. This place is truly amazing! I've been here a couple of times for random car repairs. Joe and Keith are the kindest, nicest people I've met at a car repair shop. They're honest and very straightforward with what needs to be done immediately and what can probably wait. I know very little about car mechanics but they took the time to explain to me what was going on, which I appreciated! They are efficient with what they do and send you a digital report of your car that you can check out with what is good, what needs future attention, and what needs immediate attention and you're able to pay ahead online! Have been to Mr. Jim's a couple times for oil change and regular maintenance. Took our older vehicle in for work. They provide very detailed estimates with photos and video - very helpful in understanding what items need to be addressed. Honest advice with the customers best interests in mind. For around 20 years now, I have entrusted Mr.Jims with all of my vehicles. Not a chance I would think of going anywhere else! I came to trust this business many many years back, they know what they re doing, they are dependable, trustworthy, and charge a fair price. Keith and Joe are so kind, easy to talk to and absolutely know what they re talking about and what they re doing! They have gone the extra mile for me so many times, and that s rare in this business. Absolutely love coming here!!! As a female knowing nothing about cars other than how to drive them, I'm always worried I'm going to get taken advantage of. I've never felt that way taking my car to Mr. Jim's! Everyone is super friendly and honest with me. I'm told what's extremely important to fix and what should be kept on my radar for the future. I brought my car in to Keith at Mr. Jim s with a no start problem that I know it was stemming from the computer system and all the sensors. I was a mechanic myself years ago when computers were first becoming main stream, so I knew enough to be dangerous, but not enough to figure out this issue. I Also knew I did not have the expensive diagnostic equipment needed and that a professionals help was necessary. They spent quite a bit of time diagnosing Because it was not an every day type of a problem. I had been replacing parts in an effort to fix the problem, but I only made it worse. They found that the crank sensor I had installed was incorrect for the vehicle. They replaced it with the proper one, fixed some other bad wiring , along with a few other items to make the car run like a champ. I was expecting to pay a great deal in the diagnostic part of the repair, but they were more than fair with the pricing. I would have to guess they may even have lost money on this repair due to the amount of time that it took, but they were genuinely happy to get the car running, and to have a happy customer that will be using them for all my vehicles in the future.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Friendly and helpful service, walked me through the entire process.I was told by another company that my control arms needed replacing (Mr Jim s replaced them the year before), Joe was super respectful and took the car back, put it on the ramp and showed me that everything was fine, but still checked with the manufacturer just in case to see if there were any recalls.
