Definitely recommended:Frank has operated this shop for over 40 yearsI have had numerous transmissions & automotive repairs done by this shop. The prices are competitive & the work is excellent. There is no corner cutting. The owner is understanding and communicates effectively.I have had a repair or 2 delayed, due to parts issues, but never a pick up and price gouge. He only takes in what they know how to repair. He offers a fair assessment -up frontGood ShopGood repairs !

My neighbor had is transmission go out, and had it towed to another repair shop...won't say who, myself being in the car buisness and having delt with both businesses, I told him to send it to Supreme! By far most respected, most knowledgeable and honest guys around. Needless to say, Supreme did the job quicker and far better then the other guys. They are amazing!

My transmission started acting up, and being from out of state was hoping to make it back home to mechanics I trust after doing business with them for almost 20 years. Well, that was not the case, the transmission went out and I found Supreme by accident. And I will say it ended up being a good accident. They waited after hours for me to get there, arranged a ride home, called me with the issue for approval for the work, and kept me updated throughout the repair. They replaced everything in the transmission with factory parts instead of just what was bad. I mentioned about a possible warped rotor, and if they could look at it when they finished, the transmission if they did that kind of work. They said of course, and kept all parts for me to view after the repair. Frank was a pleasure on the phone and in person, as were his guys. Asked me to come back in a week or so, or when I was back in the area, so that they could check for leaks or issues, which I did, and there were none. Frank even recommended some of his favorite Italian restaurants in the area where I was staying. I only tried two of the three, but am sure the third is just as good as the two I tried! Again, being from.put of town/state, I was worried about being taken advantage of in this situation but I honestly felt I was received quality work at a fair price, and would recommend anyone give this shop a chance.

I've had various mechanical issues with 3 different vehicles that have been repaired at Supreme over the course of the last couple of years. I also know someone else that had a transmission repaired there. With that said... I've also read a couple of the negative reviews here about this repair shop. While I obviously cannot comment with first hand knowledge about those issues, I will say this...I haven't seen any indication that Frank or Tony would treat anyone the way these two reviews indicated that they did. To date... I haven't encountered any issues with repair work... or "attitude" from anyone there. Frank and Tony have always treated me fairly and listened to my comments.I suspect anyone who owns a vehicle has had a bad experience or two with auto repair places... I certainly have... but Supreme has always treated me right.Lastly... I think anyone in business (I also own a business, unrelated to auto repair) knows that occasionally you'll encounter a customer who can't be pleased. There are businesses out there who scam customers... there are also customers out there that scam businesses... Without these two reviews... Supreme would have a 5 star rating. Anyone who judges these guys based on those two reviews should keep this in mind.

I was able to keep my old car up to 204,000 miles because of Supreme Auto Transmission.my check engine light was on, I brought my car there, Frank would tell me what was wrong and search for parts at the best price for me. the car always was delivered to me at the same day at a very reasonable price.sometimes he called me and told me that it was not necessary to do any repair.Frank helped me save so much money. It is so nice to have an auto repair place to go that you know they will do an excellent job and be very honest.onetime I had a small accident, Frank called several places to look for the parts, and he found one in the junk yard for me. because my car is 18 years old, he told me it's not worth it to pay for brand new parts.I am truly grateful for all the excellent work they have done and all the money they saved for me.an outstanding place in auto repair business.

By far the most honest and professional shop I've been to in a very long time. I have an Audi that needed the transmission rebuilt and had quotes from $3500-$5600 for the job. Supreme quoted me substantially less than that, had the car finished and ready to go when they said they would, and charged me exactly what they quoted me on the phone, not a penny more. The car drives better than when I first bought it. Great group of individuals and I will definitely be recommending them to my friends. I'll gladly do business with them again in the future. I really can't say enough good things about this place. If you're looking for a transmission shop in the western Chicago area, this is the place you want to call.

I was referred to this business by my mechanic and I am incredibly happy with my experience. I needed a new transmission for my car and I was in a crunch with both time and money. Not only did Supreme Transmissions work with me financially, but they kept me updated on all the work they completed.Everyone who I talked to was warm, polite and kind. All in all- I felt like I was driving a new car after my new transmission was installed. I was very pleased. I will definitely be referring this business to friends and family.

Incredibly down-to-earth and hardworking people. They charge a good price and are more than willing to answer any questions. I took my car there on a recommendation from a family member and I will now happily recommend them to anyone. Excellent service and price! Here's your much deserved 6th star: !

If I could give Supreme transmission a 0 star review I gladly would. I brought my vehicle to them from out of state. My differential went bad in my truck and I brought it to a driveline shop thinking that they would repair it properly the first time but was I sorely mistaken. One week and $900 later they tell me that my truck is fixed I left the shop and drove 5 minutes and heard a heavy vibration in the differential had to bring it back to the shop the next day they kept it for over 4 hours and then told me that my tires need to be rotated and my drive shaft was out of alignment and the vibration would never have come from the differential. So I drive home four and a half hours and 2000 miles later there's a whining coming from my differential I had it inspected by a shop by my house and they told me my entire differential was bad due to improper setup it looked like somebody dumped a can of metallic spray paint inside the differential and now it was going to cost me $2,500 to repair it. I spoke with the owner Frank who told me to get the truck down there and they would fix it however he would not pay for a shop near me to repair it because he believed that they were out to try and scam him out of money because there were an out-of-state company. He would not even call the shop to hear what they had to say about what they had seen So I found a tow company and paid out of my own pocket an additional $300 to have the vehicle brought to them. They repaired the differential and said that the entire differential was bad and they had to replace everything. When I asked for an updated work order to show that they had replaced parts and warranty my differential I was told by the son named Anthony quite rudely I might add that I can't have any paperwork and to just be happy with the fact that it was fixed and that they had spent money to fix it, and was also told that they were going to Mark the work order no more warranty. In my defense I told him if you would repaired it right the first time we wouldn't be on the third go-around with this then he proceeded to be incredibly rude to me and my mother and tell us if we're looking for any kind of money back for the tow or the diagnosis that I had to pay that we would have to take him to court. He then proceeded to tell me as I left that I should take it to Meineke next time as I think I will because I would rather have a muffler shop fix it right the first time then the specialty shop that can't do it right 3 times. I feel that if they had repaired this properly the first time that I would not have incurred the other costs as well as my inconvenience to have to drive all the way down in a rental car to get my vehicle back. I would highly advise anyone to stay far away from this company because they will be very quick to tell you how long they have been in business and then it's a father and son business but as soon as there's a problem you can count on being very disrespected and insulted. I will now be needing to contact the Better Business Bureau as well as consult an attorney

I went to ST twice, once with a transmission problem and the other time with an AC failure. Both times I feared I would leave with a bill in the thousands, and instead I left with a bill in the low hundreds. Frank and Anthony will take care of you. They seemed more interested in trying a conservative approach to the problem instead of trying the most expensive solution first. Both times my car ran beautifully. Both times the repair was done quickly and efficiently I will go back to ST for my next repair. I highly recommend. Theo from Villa Park

We had the check engine light come on and we brought it to a Firestone Auto. After reading the codes (which were transmission related) they suggested we go to a Transmission shop in Aurora. I decided to take it to Supreme Transmission after hearing great opinions about them locally. It was the best decision I made. I brought the Acura MDX in and they reassured me they'd do a thorough diagnostics and road test on it and get back to me shortly. I went home expecting the worst (a big bill and repairs), I received a call that afternoon and was told the car checked out fine! They ran numerous checks and drove it a few times and the car was "A-OK". Whew! They could've easily done literally nothing and charged me a hefty fee, and I would've never known... In fact when I picked it up there was no charge - not even diagnostic fees - like Firestone had charged me, couldn't do anything, and sent me on my way. Hooray for Supreme Auto Transmission, you have a customer for life!

The worst mechanics service I've experienced. They told me they would call me before the end of a business day, but never did. So I went a whole night without having my vehicle. They told me they would try to fix my transmission pan by drilling out an old strip bolt to install a new one. Once I got there the next day, my vehicle was on a lift rack. They had it set up so my trans pan was basically pouring out transmission fluid. It definitely wasn't pouring out when I brought it in. They said the leaking was due to them trying to solve the problem without going an expensive route. They basically did this to force me to go the expensive route. They also said my axel ring needed to be replaced. So I only agreed to pay that and they charged me $150. This place is a rip off!! I only went to them because NTB across the street referred me. Do NOT take your car there!!!!!

I brought my Honda Crosstour to Supreme when my Honda dealership service department ran into a brick wall with Honda America over a defective torque converter. The Honda service department guys recommended Supreme to rebuild my transmission, which had 150,000 miles at the time. Frank, the owner, and his son Anthony, have been that rare mix of honest, reasonably priced, expert mechanics who were doggedly determined to find what was wrong with my car. As it turns out, I not only had a bad torque converter, but also, the Honda tech was not initially able to properly resent the ECM after the transmission rebuild, so when problems persisted after the rebuild, Frank worked and worked and worked to try to find the solution, and because of his persistence, the Honda tech returned and reprogrammed the ECM, which was the key to the solving the problem.Supreme did other minor repairs without charge, like replacing the headlight bulbs, an air filter and performing other work, like cleaning the throttle body and some other stuff I can't even remember. So, I've been back with my daughter's car (a 2003 Buick Rendezvous with 245,000 miles). They've repaired the exhaust, the rear bearings, the motor regulator on the driver's side window and rotated the tires (without charge when they did the bearings). And I returned with a significant oil leak repair on the Honda (rocker arm solenoid). All of these repairs were done quickly, properly and even with a few extras (air filter on the Honda) at no-charge.If you you're looking for an honest, capable, friendly and reasonably priced auto repair facility, this is your place.
