The best. These guys take excellent care of our small fleet of vehicles. Trust is so important and so hard to find. Look no further. Dan, Danny, Jose and all the crew are going to properly diagnose and repair with excellent and great prices. For all these reasons we come from Elgin all the way to Villa Park because we've found quality, honesty and trust at the best price for all our automotive needs.

Great place! They are always fast with their repairs, and honest with their estimates. I've done oil changes, exsaust repairs, a/c recharge, spark plugs and a caliper change here. My sister, brother in law, and his family also come here for auto repairs.

I never have to question the quality of work this shop performs. Have been visiting this repair shop for well over 10 years. They do great work and always a competitive price. I've been coming to Route 64 Auto Repair for many years and have always been happy. They are busy but you know that they will take care of you and get the job down at reasonable prices. I have used Route 64 for oil changes for both of my cars, and they ve always done a great job. So when I needed new brakes, I went to them because their pricing was very competitive, and they do outstanding work. No high-pressure sales tactics, they don t tell you you need something done that you don t, and they have great coupons on their website. They are always friendly, the shop is clean, and they work quickly. Which is important when it s charged by the hour. They do a great job, and they are very honest and fair. Their prices seems to be much lower than some of the other shops in the area. I highly recommend Route 64 for all of your automotive needs. You won t be disappointedServices: Brakes, Oil change

I have used this place several times, and they are usually pretty quick, and I've always appreciated their honesty when it comes to my car. I was very disappointed, however, when I took my car in for a check engine light check before emissions testing a few weeks ago. I have a bad sensor, so the light comes on all the time. Normally they do whatever they do and the light goes off. This time, I was told that my car needed repairs or it would not pass emissions, but that they were busy and needed me to drop it off the next day. On the drive home, the light shut off, so I thought I'd take my chances, and give it a try. The car passed emissions with flying colors. Now I'm feeling like they were dishonest.

I love this place. They are VERY honest, and super nice. I had my truck towed here because it is literally right down the street, and they put a new battery in it, and I was on my way. That battery was still going strong when I traded my truck in!! I also brought my truck here in the winter when my tires were low (due to the weather change), and they filled them up, no charge. If you want an honest mechanic, bring your vehicle here.

My car was in twice this month for repairs and I was very pleased with how they got me in right away to look at it. I appreciate how they explain the issue and feel the work is very honest. That mean a lot to me. The price is always reasonable too. :)

They do very good work and her price is very reasonable no extras when you don't need them had starter replaced on my pickup truck last Saturday and it was cheaper than a dealer and it only took two and a half hours very good service

Paid $1200 for brakes. Problem was not resolved so I had to take it back and paid another $150. Problem still wasn't resolved and had to return again the same day to pay another $120 only to once again not have the problem resolved. Finally took it to a Ford dealer and found out they didn't perform the work they said they did.

I pulled in around lunchtime on a Tuesday afternoon and the manager Dan said that the guys were going on lunch they would be with me within a half hour. I decided to go run and get myself something to eat. I came back a half hour later and they were able to see my car right away. About an hour and 15 minutes later my car was ready. I was very pleased with the service. And the fact that they were willing to repair my exhaust problems instead of replacing the whole system. I will definitely be using this place again for all my future car care needs.

I ve never had a mechanic I trust more than Route 64. They ve done so much for me and I am eternally grateful for all their hard work. I know my car is always well taken care of here. I m always told what is urgent, what repairs can wait and I truly appreciate that.

If you're shopping around for a "trustworthy" mechanic and you don't know what's wrong with your car, I recommend you do not come here or you'll most likely regret it. I came to this shop with a check engine light on, aware that my car had a few issues. After inspection, I was told that yes, it had various issues but that roughly $400 could get my car running smoothly again. First they worked on the spark plugs and it did nothing, then there was a leak, and then they diagnosed for a new ignition control module. After spending a little over $500, my car still did not run smoothly at all. This crew may be good hands on, but they don't know how to diagnose. You want your mechanic to be good at diagnosing, although sadly not all of them are. On top of that, they aren't going to give you their honest opinion. What they'll do is just tell you to get the jobs done, because it's a business. My car is now at Victory Auto Wreckers because since the beginning, the car was junk. And I found that out after doing my own research. $500 did not make it run smoothly like they promised. I don't blame the mechanics, I blame the manager. Save your money and go to someone that knows how to properly diagnose and will give you their honest opinion, like that it's going to take way more than a few hundred to fix. If not, go ahead and come here and have them guess what's wrong with your car until maybe just maybe they get to the root of the problem.

After doing business with these guys for the last 3 or 4 years, I am happy to say I finally found a trustworthy mechanic. Dan the owner has basically become a family friend to us, and words cannot describe how thankful we are for him and his crew. They have helped me out of a lot of stressful situations and have gone above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions. Honest group of guys, they will explain exactly what the problem is in a way that you can actually understand. For every different problem I went to them with, I can safely say I was only charged about 1/4 of the cost I would expect to pay at any other mechanic. If you live in this area, and don't want to spend a fortune at a dealer or a different mechanic, do yourself a favor and go see Dan at Route 64.Thank you guys for everything, God bless

My feedback is in regards to the customer service and a one time experience.It appears as though they could use a receptionist to be fair. Someone to follow up with new and old clients before, during, and maybe after service(s).I felt like the over all service did not have to consume my entire day either. I took my vehicle in for a full service oil change, a/c fix and overall inspection. That experience started at 0900 hrs. I called the location at about noon to inquire about my services and was told I'd receive follow up in a couple hours. 3.5 hours later still no follow up, so I just showed up to the location.Overall the pricing was more than acceptable, but it came at the cost of time related inconvenience. Afterwards, I felt as though the issue that I initially brought my vehicle in for was resolved. I do still feel like I could use a second opinion regarding some additional concerns I addressed before completion.Bottom line would recommend!#MarqWasHere

This is 5th time I've used this repair service. They took care of every mechanical problem at very reasonable costs, in a timely fashion & great service. The counter people are easy to talk with. Mechanics have gone into detail when I asked for more info. They are honest & forthright, & Covid-responsible. This repair service makes my car issues easier to deal with!

Long story short: they aligned my truck while it had a bad ball joint, sent me on my way with a dangerous vehicle, then they denied they had done anything wrong.Full version: My truck had been pulling to the left, so I took it to Route 64, which I had used and been happy with a couple times in the past. When they gave me the truck back, and charged me $90, it was still pulling to the left just as badly. I called them the next day, because I had a road trip coming up that weekend, but they could not get me in before the trip. I fought the pull the whole trip, which was very annoying.After the trip, I scheduled an appointment for them to fix the alignment under warranty. This time they got it to track straight, so I was initially happy. A few days later, the night before I was supposed to leave for another trip, I started hearing and feeling a pop under full steering lock. I brought it to a friend of mine who is an ASE certified tech and an auto shop teacher to inspect it. He found a very loose upper left ball joint. It was so loose that he said, I can t believe we just took this truck to Indiana. He refused to let me drive the truck, and lent me his extra car to use on my trip.After that second trip, I brought the truck to a different shop to get the ball joint fixed. When I told him that another shop had aligned it with that bad ball joint he said, That s crazy that they missed that, it was plainly obvious to see. I went back to Rt. 64 to give them a chance to make it right, to at least refund me the money I d wasted getting my truck aligned with bad parts, but they insist it was somehow tight three days before it was very loose.This shop missed a very bad safety defect. They sent me on a trip with a defective vehicle, that if it had come apart at highway speeds would have been catastrophic. I will never go back to this shop again. Their attention to detail and care for the customer is sorely lacking, to say the least.

This repair shop is very good. I have an old 2000 BMW 323i which is very expensive to repair when I go to ELMHURST BMW but my son told me I should try them because he had them fix something on his van. They gave me great service and didn t charge me a lot to replace a pulley and radiator hose. Check them out. Danny there said I would love them and he was right!

Nice ppl that know what they're doing, I miss coming here. They know their customers and will greet you by name after the first visit. I always trusted their advice as well. I used to go over there for maintenance and oil changes, best oil change price in town!

I had a good experience and my car steering works again. I repaired it two times some place else and they could not repair the power steering correctly.
